Examples of ECP programme More than 30 ECP programmes: Fan coil units Air-conditioners Filters Chilled Beams Refrigerated Display Cabinets Dry-coolers Air Handling Units Rooftops Condensers Chillers & Heat-Pumps Air to air heat exchangers Cooling towers Drift eliminators VRF
The ECP brand The Eurovent Certified Performances brand: The ECP programmes consist in independent third-party checking of product performance to encourage honest competition and to assure customers that the equipment is correctly rated on the European market. The certification relies on a continuous verification process: Analysis of the Declaration file that includes all models in the scope of the programme and selection of the units to be tested Product performance testing performed by independent and accredited laboratories On-site factory audits Check of selection software Selection software: Any kind of tool made available within the participant s organization to assist and generate an offer to customers and provide technical definition and performance of a product.

History of the IT Cooling Units programme EXISTING: ECP Close Control (CC), sub-programme of Comfort Air Conditioners (AC) Requirements, content and expectations not suitable AIM: Recast completely the sub-programme in a new dedicated programme ECP IT Cooling Units
History of the IT Cooling Units programme Key steps: February- March 2017: Call for participation to the LC 6 Launching Committees (LC): April 2017: First Launching Committee LC1 January 2018: Last Launching Committee LC6 March 2018: CPPC programme validation May 2018: Kick-off meeting Composition of the Launching Committee: 7 major European OEM of IT Cooling units 2 External independent EU laboratories 1 certification body Promotion of the ITCU programme: EU Commissions: GPP Green Public Procurement for Data Center EU ErP project commission Exhibitions: DCW
Scope of the programme The IT Cooling Units certification programme covers IT Cooling Units specifically designed and used to regulate air temperature and optionally air humidity of an enclosed space containing critical equipment such as IT equipment or telecommunication equipment. The IT cooling units shall be factory made units designed as a single packaged unit or a single split unit. Technologies covered: Computer Room Air Conditioners Direct Expansion (CRAC) air cooled or water cooled Computer Room Air Conditioner Chilled Water (CRAH) HYBRID technologies pairing these technologies Are excluded from the scope: Packaged CRAC air cooled units, Multi-Split units, Partial IT Cooling units with missing elements such as fans.
Scope of the programme Air flow directions: Down-flow Up-flow Horizontal-flow Air flow configurations: ROOM Based Cooling unit ROW Based Cooling Unit RACK Based Cooling Unit Features: Ducted/non-ducted units With/without floating-floor 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequency units
Programme Features The IT Cooling Unit certification is a stringent and exhaustive certification that includes: The Certify-all principle, which means that all the units sold by the participant on the EU market within the defined scope, shall be declared to ECC and can be subject to controls during the certification process. Annual random selection of units and tests in an independent and accredited laboratory chosen by Eurovent Certita Certifcation Between 2 and 6 tests, depending of the number of models manufactured Test realized under standard and non-standard conditions Software certification that extends the certification of the units to non-standard condition functioning points. An annual factory audit that guarantees a high level of quality of production and the relevance and accuracy between what is declared and what is produced and sold. Units tested are controlled during Factory Audit.
