On the following pages, we show you how you can create a store as well as install and configure the TWINT MacOS solution. Step 1: Create store with the MacOS solution in the merchant portal General The process for entering a new store is divided into four parts. 1 Basic details: information (name, address and logo) about your store that is to be displayed in the TWINT app 2 Connection: account details for the daily transfer of revenues as well as supported customer loyalty programmes/loyalty schemes 3 Summary: check and save details 4 Confirmation Create store Select 'Cash register, terminal and other solutions' on the start page. Or select the 'Stores' menu item in the left-hand navigation column and click on the 'Add' button under 'Cash register, terminal and other solutions'. To edit an existing store, click on the pencil icon under the 'Stores' menu item. 3
1.1. Basic details Please complete the online form. Store These details will be displayed to your customers in the TWINT app. Please note: before you enter a store you will see a list of cash-register software providers. This information is not relevant for the MacOS solution. Simply click on 'Add cash register'. Logo Upload a logo to be displayed to your customers in the TWINT app. Recommended image size PNG or JPEG 1280 x 640 px max. 300 KB 4
1.2. Connection Select manufacturer In step 2 'Connection', select 'MacOS solution' under 'Manufacturer'. Select sales and support In step 2 'Connection', select 'MacOS solution' under 'Sales and support'. Order certificate Order a certificate on a one-time basis under 'Order certificate' if you have not already done so. The certificate can be used for all devices, cash registers and stores belonging to a company (legal entity). 5
Credit account To which account should we transfer your TWINT revenues? Please select an appropriate account or add an account. You can enter one account per store or use the same account for all stores. Please also enter the store name so that payments can be clearly allocated during the settlement process. Please note: bank statement only required if registering without a commercial register entry! For verification purposes, please upload a bank statement for the specified account. The following must be visible: company or name, address, IBAN or account number. Loyalty programmes TWINT offers users the option to save cards for various customer loyalty programmes within the TWINT app. Should you support one of the displayed loyalty schemes, you can activate the relevant programmes. If you would like to save your company's employee or customer loyalty card in the TWINT app, please contact us by calling 058 667 98 44 or sending an e-mail to sales@twint.ch. 6
1.3. Summary In step 3 'Summary', check your details again and edit them where necessary. Complete the registration process. 1.4. Confirmation You have now created your store in the merchant portal. We have sent you a confirmation e-mail containing your details. The e-mail also includes the UUID, which you need the first time you log into the MacOS solution. 7
Step 2: Install MacOS solution 2.1. Prepare installation We inform you in the confirmation e-mail about the next steps. For example, these may include: Download certificate Now download the certificate and save it locally on your device (PC, laptop or tablet). Order TWINT Beacons (optional) If you would like to collect payments with the MacOS solution, you can use a TWINT Beacon, which establishes the connection between your device and customer smartphones. You can order the TWINT Beacon in the shop in the merchant portal. Integrate TWINT Now download the application and save the software locally on your device (PC, laptop or tablet). Add additional store Add additional stores if you would like to use TWINT at other locations. Tip: inform employees Inform and train your employees as soon as TWINT has been successfully implemented in the store. 8
2.2. Install MacOS solution 2.2.1. The 'TWINT merchant set-up' window will open. Click on 'Continue' in the 'Introduction' section. 2.2.2. Select the target volume and click on 'Continue'. 9
2.2.3. Where necessary, change the location for the installation. Click on 'Install'. 2.2.4. The installation process was completed successfully. Click on 'Close'. 10
Step 3: Launch the MacOS solution 3.1. Configure the MacOS solution Select the TWINT logo on your desktop in order to open the cash register. To enable you to use the MacOS solution, you first need to configure it. 3.1.1. Click on the settings icon and then select 'Settings'. 3.1.2. Define a name for your cash register and enter it (important: the name is freely selectable but must be clearly identifiable and unique!). 3.1.3. Enter your store's UUID (can be found in the merchant portal and in the confirmation e-mail). 3.1.4. Save the certificate which you downloaded in the merchant portal and stored locally on your device by selecting 'Search for certificate'. 3.1.5. Under 'Password', enter the certificate password that you defined in the merchant portal. 3.1.6. Select 'TWINT Beacon' for beacon type. 3.1.7. Click on 'Connect TWINT Beacon' to connect the USB port. 11
Tip: under 'Configuration', select the option 'Allow cash register to run actively in background'. This will allow you to avoid long waiting times and collect payments quickly and easily. 3.1.8. Other settings (optional): you can decide yourself whether you would like to display the device keypad (recommendation: only appropriate for MacOS tablets). You can also add users (including three-character user code only recommended under certain circumstances, as the payment-collection process is lengthened overall. Select user, login, etc.). 3.1.9. Finally, select the operating language. 3.1.10. Save your defined settings by selecting 'Save setting'. 12
3.2. Start collecting payments You are now good to go and can start collecting payments. Under 'Cash register', enter the respective amount and conclude the transaction by selecting the 'Collect payment' button. Your customers can now hold their smartphone up to the Beacon or scan the QR code. As soon as the transaction has been confirmed and completed, a confirmation will appear on the screen. Tip: your customers can connect their smartphone to the Beacon before you have entered the amount in the cash register. This makes the payment process even quicker. 13
3.3. Incorporate coupons You can incorporate the TWINT coupons easily and conveniently with the MacOS solution. Has your customer already activated the coupon? If so, enter the discount amount in the designated field and select 'Collect payment'. 14
3.4. Access/reverse transactions Under the 'Statement entries' menu item, you can view all completed transactions at any time. Would you like to reverse a transaction? To do so, select the relevant transaction in order to examine the transaction details and, where appropriate, reverse the transaction. 15

Downloads You can access your daily statements (daily closings) as.raf,.csv and.pdf files here. Shop You can order advertising materials here free of charge. You can now get started!
