Required Tools USB Keyboard and Mouse Phillips Screwdriver #2, 4, & 6 inch blade Flat Blade Screw Driver, 4 & 6 inch blade Level Scissors or wirecutters Nut driver, deep well 3/8 or deep well 3/8 socket with 8 extension and ratchet 3/32 allen wrench Articulated ladder (minimum 6 foot, 8 foot preferred) Electric or cordless drill w/ assorted bits Masonry bits required Measuring tape 8mm open-end wrench, or small 4 adjustable wrench Zip ties (quantity 8, 10 inch length) Logging in as Admin a) Connect keyboard and mouse b) Press Control + Alt + Delete c) Click Log Off twice d) Enter user: pwradmin e) Enter password: HANpwr09 Checking AT&T Signal Strength a) Log into system as Admin (See Instructions) b) Launch AT&T Communication Manager Software i. c) Check Mobile Info in Communications Manager Software i. Click Tools ii. Highlight Diagnostics iii. Click Mobile Info Port Test a) Open Internet Explorer a. Type porttest.patientpoint.com (minus quotes) into the toolbar b. Hit Enter c. Begin Port Tests will be greyed out briefly. Once available select the button. Field Support: 1-877-233-9114 Page 4
b) Port test will run. A status indicator will be shown for each port test ran. (example below) c) If any errors occur, report back to the Support Desk. Otherwise, the PWR system connection should be OK for installation. Field Support: 1-877-233-9114 Page 5
Cradlepoint Installation 1) Enable LAN/ Ethernet connection a. Login into system as Admin b. Click Start > Settings > Network Connections c. Check status of Local Area Connection (Wire Ethernet port). If disabled, right click and choose Enable d. Power down system and remove keyboard and mouse 2) Swap antenna cable a. Unlock and remove security door on the rear of unit Field Support: 1-877-233-9114 Page 6
b. Remove the wireless USB modem and disconnect from the antenna cable c. Using the wrench, loosen and disconnect the antenna cable from the Wilson Amplifier inside the case. The amp is blue and located just above the door. The cable on the right is for power, DO NOT DOSCONNECT. d. Remove antenna cable from inside the case. Excess cable has been pushed inside the case, and if it cannot be removed, coil cable inside the case and set aside. e. Connect new antenna cable to the Wilson Amplifier. Begin threading connection by hand to ensure it is not cross threaded, then use wrench to tighten. 3) Mount Cradlepoint a. Use zip ties to connect wireless bridge to the top bar of the wall plate b. Orient the bridge so that the connectors for the power adapter and Ethernet cable are on the end near the mounting arm for the screen, and the indicator lights on the top are visible 4) Make connections to Cradlepoint bridge a. Connect antenna cable to the power on the express casd and secure with zip tie b. Connect Ethernet cable from the CradlePoint bridge to network connection on kiosk (connection on bottom of system) Field Support: 1-877-233-9114 Page 7
c. Plug CradlePoint power adapter into the power strip, secure with zip tie, and connect to power port on the bridge d. Power up the PracticeWire unit and CradlePoint Bridge e. Confirm the Power, Ethernet, Express Card, and Signal Lights are lit on the Cradlepoint bridge. If express card light is red, re-seat the express. f. Secure all other devices and cables using zip ties g. Package up USB modem for return shipping and call support to check connectivity. Field Support: 1-877-233-9114 Page 8
