This is an island wide Lip Dub music video competition for all 2019 High School Seniors! The challenge encourages school pride, teamwork, and overall creativity as it tasks our islands high school seniors to produce a video featuring classmates, faculty, families, and friends for the chance at winning a cash prize. Like years before, this competition allows our island s high school seniors to show off their video shooting, audio mixing, and video editing skills. With today s modern technology, students will be able to shoot and edit right from their smart phones. Lip Dub is a type of video that combines lip-syncing and audio dubbing to make a music video. This can be made by filming an individual or a group lip syncing while listening to a song or any recorded audio, then dubbing over it in post editing with the original audio of the song. There is often some form of mobile audio device used such as an MP3 Player or smartphone. Often, they look like music videos, although many involve a lot of preparation and production. Lip Dubs are done in a single unedited shot that often travel through different rooms and situations within a building. They have become popular with the advent of sites like YouTube and Vimeo. This year s promotional period will run from February 2019 through April 2019. Submission of material by each senior class to Red Dragon Productions is: FRIDAY, MARCH 8 TH, 2019 BEFORE 3 P.M.
