1 Intended use The ExtremeX360 is a digital panoramic action camera with two lenses on both sides for taking photos and videos. Use the ExtremeX360 on your smartphone to operate the ExtremeX360 app. The ExtremeX360 app allows you to connect your Nikkei ExtremeX360 Action Camera to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. Enjoy real time playback with multiple view modes including VR, spherical or panning modes. Download photos and videos directly to your smartphone and share with your friends or via social media. Use the Tripod as a tripod or to hold the actioncamera. Use the pedestal to attach the action camera securely to a surface. Example: by placing the 3M sticker with the pedestal on the helmet. 66 The device is intended for consumer use, not for professional use. 66 Due the wide variety of products with USB ports, mobile devices and their manufacturer-specific functions we cannot guarantee that all devices will be recognized or all operating options can function. 3

2 Safety 2.1 Labels in this manual WARNING A warning means that injury is possible if the instructions are not obeyed. 11 CAUTION A caution means that damage to the equipment is possible. A note gives additional information, e.g. for a procedure. 2.1 General safety instructions General To prevent damage or malfunctions: Please take time and read the general safety instructions. This will avoid fire, explosions, electric shocks or other hazards that may result in damage to property and/ or severe or fatal injuries. The manufacturer is not liable for cases of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases, the warrenty will be voided. Do not operate the device during driving. WARNING Do not put force on the appliance. Always check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Only use original accessories from the manufacturer. Do not spill any liquid on the appliance. Never leave children unattended with the packing material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation Children frequently underestimate the danger.always keep childern away from the packaging material. 4

It is not permitted to open the product yourself or to have it opened, neither is it permitted to repair the product yourself or to have it repaired. This will void the warranties. Please let any maintenance be carried out by certified maintenance personnel. CAUTION 11 Do not put the appliance near a heat source. This could damage the appliance. 11 Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight. 11 The camera contains sensitive components, including the battery. Avoid exposing your camera and battery to very cold or very hot temperatures. Low or high temperature conditions may temporarily shorten the battery life or cause the camera to temporarily stop working properly. 3 Preparations for use 3.1 Unpacking Unpack the appliance carefully. Check the package contents as described below. If any item is missing, please contact your reseller. We recommend that you retain the original carton and packing materials in case it ever becomes necessary to return your product for service. This is the only way to safely protect the product against damage in transit. If you do dispose of the carton and the packing materials, please remember to recycle with due care to the environment. 3.2 Package contents The following items are included in the received package: Action camera ExtremeX360 1x Micro USB cable 1x CD with software to edit the photos and videos 1x Tripod 1x fixed base 1x fixed base with attachment 3M sticker 1x Adapter 66 If any item is missing, please contact your reseller. 6

3.3 Charge the appliance Open the cover to get access to the USB port. Insert the Micro USB connection in the Micro USB port (11) and the USB connection in the USB input of, for example, a computer. The battery is fully charged within 3 hours. The LED indicator is blue during charging. When the battery is full the LED indicator is off. Note! Max. 4 V connection. 7

5 Usage 5.1 Memory Card: Placement and access Min. 32 GB Max. 64 GB Class 10 Due to the great variety of products with external memory connection (USB, SD/MMC, etc.) and their sometimes quite manufacturer-specific functions we can neither guarantee that all devices will be recognised, nor that all operating options that are possible in theory will actually work. Use a memory card of class 10 (12) Memory card slot min. 32 Gb, max 64 Gb. 5.2 Using the on/off button Keep key POWER / MODE (4) pressed for 2 seconds. The device has now been turned on. The red indicator lamp is lit. 5.3 Factory Settings The factory settings are: Date and time: DD/MM/YY Resolution of photos: 5M Resolution of videos recorded: 1920x960 30fps Frequency: 50HZ/PAL Language: English WIFI password: 1234567890 9

6 Use the actioncamera with the app 6.1 Make a WIFI connection The ExtremeX360 app allows you to connect your Nikkei ExtremeX360 Action Camera to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. Enjoy real time playback with multiple view modes including VR, spherical or panning modes. Download photos and videos directly to your smartphone and share with your friends or via social media. Download the ExtremeX360 App via the google playstore (Android) or via Itunes (Apple). Open the ExtremeX360 app on your mobile phone. Keep key WIFI / SETTINGS (3) pressed for 2 seconds. Wi-Fi ON appears on the display. After a few seconds the Wifi information appears on the display. Select the WIFI: ExtremeX360 and insert the password. Select connection. De actioncam is now connected with your mobile Phone. You can operate the actioncam with the app. The default password is (1234567890). ExtremeX360_XXXXX 1234567890 Disconnect WIFI SSID: ExtremeX360 1 x 11

6.2 Making a photo and film with the ExtremeX360 App Planet Mode Flat or Plane or Explore or 360 Degree Mode Fisheye or Sphere or Spherical Mode VR Mode Hide / show Go to image folder Set-up Go to Photo Mode Make Photo Perform the steps described in Paragraph 6.1 Making a WIFI connection. Press on the camera icon on the top right to go to the photo and film mode. Press on the photo or film icon to switch between the photo mode and the film mode. Select one of the effects: Planet mode: swipe across the screen horizontally and vertically to experience the full 360 degrees view. It will show the photo/video as if its wrapped around a planet, and your looking from above. 12

Flat/Plane/Explore/360 Degree Mode: swipe across the screen horizontally and vertically to experience the full 360 degrees view of the photo/video captured in full screen. Fisheye/Sphere/Spherical mode: swipe across the screen horizontally and vertically to experience the full 360 degrees view of the photo/ video captured in a spherical view. VR mode:to view your photos or videos with your VR Headset (Not included). Press on the red button to make a photo or to start filming. Press on the button to view the photo or film (see image below go to the image folder ). You can also share your photo or film via social media. 6.3 Make a photo See chapter 6 Use the actioncamera with the app how to use the actioncamera with your mobile. Press 2 seconds on the button POWER / MODE (4) to turn the camera on. Press multiple times on the button POWER / MODE (4) to select the photo mode. You can choose from the photo mode movie mode and the. The icon appears the top left on the display Press the button OK 8 to make a photo. REPEAT 7 lights up. On the display of the photo mode you see the following elements: -- Icon of the current mode (in this case the photo mode). -- Photos remain -- Date and time: DD/MM/YY -- Battery status. 13

6.4 Start filming See chapter 5 Use the actioncamera with the app how to use the actioncamera with your mobile. The actioncamera films max. 24 minutes. Press 2 seconds on the button POWER / MODE (4) to turn the camera on. Press repeatedly on the POWER / MODE (4) button to select the video mode. Select the photo mode or the video mode. The icon appears in the top left of the display. Press on the button OK (8) to start filming. REPEAT 7 lights up. Press again on the button OK (8) to stop filming. The movie is saved. On the display of the film mode you see the following elements: -- Icon of the current mode (in this case the video mode). -- Recording time -- Date and time: DD/MM/YY -- Battery status. 14

7 Change settings You can adjust the settings using the buttons of the actioncamera or using the ExtremeX360 App. 7.1 Adjust the settings of the actioncamera using the buttons of the actioncamera You can adjust the following settings: Power save: The camera turns off after the set time. You can choose from: OFF, 1, 3 and 5 minutes. Date & Time System: Here you can retrieve the system information, the available memory, and the total memory of the memory card. Here you can set the date and time. To adjust these settings, do the following: Language: set the language Language options: English, Chinese, Frensh, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, German, Russian and Japanese. Factory reset: the camera settings are reset to the factory settings. Format: here you can format the memory card. All data will be lost. To adjust these settings, do the following: Press 2 seconds on the button POWER / MODE (4) to turn the camera on. Press 2 seconds on the button WIFI (3). The settings menu appears. Use the button WIFI (3) to navigate in a settings menu. Use the button OK (8) to select a menu, to excess a menu and to confirm the settings. 15

7.2 Adjust the settings by using the App You can adjust the following settings with the ExtremeX360 App. Resolution image: you cannot change the resolution. The resolution is 3008 x 1504. Resolution video: you cannot adjust the resolution. The resolution is 1920 x 960, 30fps. The settings of the actioncamera can only be adjusted if the WIFI connection is intermittent. White balance: You can set the white balance here. You can choose from: auto, day light, overcast, fluorescent, incandescent. Change Wi-Fi password. Here you can change your Wi-Fi password. You can also view the product name, SDK version and firmware version here. Formatting: Here you can format the memory card. All data will be lost. To adjust these settings, do the following: Press on the camera icon on the top right to go to the photo and film mode. 16

Press on the settings icon on the bottom right on the display to access the settings menu. Press on the settings to adjust. A pop-up with the possible options appears. Press on OK to save the adjustment. 17

8 Cleaning and maintenance Do not dry the camera or battery with an external heat source such as a microwave oven or hair dryer. Use the cloth to clean a dirty lens. Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth. 18
