Dear TaxTime USA Customer, Thank you for ordering TaxTime's 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013. Please print this for easy reference of download and program registration instructions. NOTE: Single user and network installation is the same. Network users will only have to download and install the program once. 1. Once you have clicked on the download link from the e-mail sent to you, the following screen should come up: Click on the 2013 941/MI Unemployment Express link. The following screen may open: Click on Run If this screen appears click on the Actions button, the following window will open:

Click Run anyway 2. Click on Run. 3. If the following Security Warning appears, please click on Run to continue with the installation:

4. The following installation folder should come up. These are the installation files, not the actual program files. Once this installation folder is downloaded the system will automatically continue with the installation of the program files. 5. Click on Continue to accept the default installation folder above or change the drive letter. For example: network users may want to change the default folder to: F:\UE13_INST by typing the letter F: over the default C: (where F: is your network drive) 6. The following should then come up: Click on Yes. 7. The following Setup screen should then come up

Click on Next to continue with the installation NOTE Network users only have to install once to the network and then each station (computer) would then create an icon on their desktop to access 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 from the network. (See section below on creating an icon.) 8. Click on Yes to accept the License Agreement. 9. The Choose Destination screen will open. 10. To install 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 to the default folder: c:\uiaexp13 click on NEXT. To change the drive, path or directory click on Browse when prompted and enter the appropriate drive and path to install to and click OK. NETWORK USERS - to install 941/MI Unemployment Express to your network drive, click on BROWSE. The Choose Folder window will come up. Change the default folder from: C:\UIAEXP13 to: F:\UIAEXP13 by TYPING the Letter F: over the default C: (where f: is your network drive) the path should then read F:\UIAEXP13. If you want to install to a different path

you must type in the entire path and folder name where the software is to be installed. Click OK in the Choose Folder screen and then NEXT in the Choose Destination screen. 11. The system will then prompt you for a Program Folder. The default is: 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013. Click on NEXT to accept this folder name. The system will create a program folder called 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 or if you used 941/MI Unemployment Express in the past it will add 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 to your existing program folder. 12. When installation is finished your system will indicate: Setup Complete. Click on FINISH. 13. Install will automatically put a 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 Icon on your desktop. 14. After 941/MI Unemployment Express has been successfully installed you are ready to use the program. 15. To use 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013: double click on the 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 Icon or click on Start, click on Programs, click on Unemployment Express and then click on 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013. 16. The first time you go into the program you will be prompted to register the software (or from within the program click on Setup and then click on Register 941/MI Unemployment Express). You can register by using the Web Registration or the Manual Registration by following the instructions below.

REGISTER 941/MI UNEMPLOYMENT EXPRESS 2013 Website Registration: 1. You must be connected to the internet. 2. Click on the Website Registration button. 3. Enter your exact Customer # and Password from the e-mail sent to you. Enter in UPPERCASE. (You can Copy and Paste from the e-mail) 4. Click OK to complete the registration. If you are using a firewall, a warning message may appear that UE13.exe is trying to access the internet. Respond in a way to allow access, so registration can be completed. If the software displays the message "Please Call for Support" then you must temporarily disable your firewall and try again. If this message persists, check to make sure that your customer # and password are entered exactly as shown in the e-mail sent to you. If this message still persists please call us for support. Manual Registration: 1. Click on the Manual Registration button. 2. Click on Registration Details. 3. Enter your Company Name, Address, and Telephone number. The Company Name must be entered exactly as shown in the e-mail including punctuation and spaces. (You can Copy and Paste from the e-mail) 4. Enter your password provided in the e-mail in UPPERCASE and indicate if you will be using a network version (Yes/No).

5. Click OK to complete the registration. Note: If there is a change to your Company Name you must call us for a new password. To Create a 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 Icon for network stations or single (site) license users: 1) Right click on the Desktop click on New then click on Shortcut. 2) A Create Shortcut window will popup. 3) The user can either type in the exact command line, for example: Network users: F:\UIAEXP13\UE13.EXE (skip to step 8) Single users: C:\UIAEXP13\UE13.EXE (skip to step 8) OR click Browse. 4) A browse window will pop up. 5) In the Look in drop down select the drive where you installed 941/MI Unemployment Express. 6) In the browse window find the folder 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 was installed to. 7) Once the folder is open double click on UE13.EXE or click on UE13.EXE and then click Open. 8) Then click Next. 9) The system will then ask for a name for the short cut; type in: 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013. 10) Then click Finish. Your shortcut has now been created. UPDATES/SUPPORT/WEBSITE All our program updates will be made available immediately for download from our website www.taxtimeusa.com We also send e-mails regarding any updates to all registered users. PROFORMA 941/MI Unemployment Express 2013 can proforma last year s client files into this year s program. 941/MI Unemployment Express 2012 saved all client files in the database file: UE12.mdb. The default folder and file name for last year s database was: UIAEXP12\UE12.mdb. Please refer to the manual for more specific information if you cannot quickly find the UE12.mdb file. Electronic Filing of 1028 information: The state will continue to accept paper filings of Form 1028 for employers with 25 or less employees. Any employers with more that 25 employees must file electronically. TaxTime has added that functionality to our program for 2013. Before you are able to file these returns you must create an Employer Representative account on the MiWAM system. Once this is done you must add the companies you will be filing returns for using this account. This can be done by following the below screens:

To Add your Clients that will be e-filed click the Client Level Reporting Menu Item Click Update Client List Click Add a Record

Fill out the form and then click Submit Once you have entered your client list it will take up to 24 hours for them to become active so returns can be filed. To Create the file to submit go into 2013 941/MI Unemployment Express Click Export Online Bulk The following screen will open 1) Select the employers to send in the Bulk file by clicking the Select check box for each client to include in the file. 2) To create the Bulk Upload file click the Create Bulk File button When you click Create Bulk File the following screen will open:

Enter a file name Then Click Save This will create a file with a.txt extension on your computer. This will be the file that you will use to upload onto the States MiWAM site. To upload the file into the State MiWAM site, login. Once logged in it will take you to your accounts home screen. Click Multi Account Services Tab

Click Bulk Tab then this screen will display Click Bulk Report Filing to upload the file created above To add a file click Add 2) Once the file has been uploaded click Submit to process the file. See Below 1) To Search for the file on your computer Enter a Description and then click Browse Once you find the file and it is displayed Click Save (See Below)

This Browse window will display. Browse out to the UIAEXP13 folder or where you saved the bulk file to upload. Click on the file to upload and then click Open The file will then upload and then click Submit on the Bulk Report Filing Screen to process the file. When you click Save as shown two screens above your file will be displayed under Attachments on the Left. To Delete the Attachment without processing it click the Red X Click Submit to process the attached file(s)

After you click Submit the system will again ask for your login password to certify the file to be processed. Enter your password Then click OK MiWAM will then return a confirmation number for your records. Be sure to print this by clicking the Print button on the right. Possible Error Messages: If this error message appears it means you are trying to submit reports for clients that you have not yet registered with the State using the steps outlined above.
