Keys 1 Description of keys Navigation Controls: Left: Use to go to the previous menu in the settings menu. Up: Use to view Call Log when phone is idle. Down: Use to access Phone Book while phone is idle. 2 3 4 5 6 7 Ok Button: Use to select a current item or save value in LCD Menu and use to retrieve a hold call in the hold state. Settings Button: Use to access the LCD Menu for display and modification of IP Phone configuration. Redial Button: Dials the last number dialed by the user. Mute Button: Interrupt the microphone in order for the caller not to hear. Volume Controls: Regulates the volume of the voice of the headset, the ringing tone and the loudspeaker. Speakerphone Button: Set the active call to loudspeaker, allowing hands free use of the telephone device. The interchange between headset and loudspeaker depends from the voice settings. 8 Call Forwarding Button: In idle state, use to set the call forwarding configuration. Transfer button: In call state, use to transfer your active call. 9 Delete Button: In editing state, use to delete a letter in front of the cursor or clear entire string. Conference Button: In call state, initiates a conference call, joins calls in a conference. 10 11 12 13 14 Hold Button: Places an active call on hold. Blind Transfer Button: Initiates a blind call transfer. Transfer Button (In call state): Initiates a call transfer. Conference Button: Initiates a conference call, joins calls in a conference. Dial Pad: Use to dial numbers. 3

Missed Calls: The LCD displays shows the number of new missed calls. To find out the number of the missed call press the control key up and access to the Call Log. Press ok and see the number, date and time of the missed call. Call Waiting: While you are in a call the IP Phone alerts you of an incoming call. You receive a beep tone over the active conversation to indicate the new call. In addition, during the ring signal, the LCD displays the incoming caller id so you know who is calling before you interrupt the current call. To answer an incoming call whiles on a call press the OK button when phone displays new call. The active call changes to the hold state and the new call connects. If you accept the call to return to the next line, press the control key down or up to select the number you want to talk. The LCD displays showing the number you are in call. 3 Party Conference: Α) Place first call as normal and then press the button 13 (conference button). Dial the number you want to join the conference and press # to make the call. When the party answers, press the button 13 again to establish the conference. Β) Place first call as normal and then press the button 9, to automatically enter first call on hold. Dial the number you want to join the conference and press # to make the call. When the party answers, press the button 9 again to establish the conference. Call Transfer: Transfer Button (In call state Consultation Transfer): Using this function, you send an active call to another extension after announcing the call transfer to the receiving party. A) To transfer an active call, press the button 12. The active call status changes to hold and you receive dial tone. Dial the number you wish to receive the transfer and then press the button #. Await answer and announce the transfer. To complete the transfer press the button 12, hang up the handset. B) To transfer an active call, press the button 8. The active call status changes to hold and you receive dial tone. Dial the number you wish to receive the transfer and then press the button #. Await answer and announce the transfer. To complete the transfer press the button 8, hang up the handset. 4

Blind Transfer Button You can transfer an active call to another extension without talking to the party receiving the call. The call transfers to the new party without verifying that the new party is there or willing to receive the call. To transfer an active call, press the button 11. The active call status changes to hold and you receive dial tone. Dial the number you wish to receive the transfer and then press the button #. To complete the transfer, hang up the handset. Voice Portal: This facility allows you to listen your voicemail. The Message LED flashes to indicate you have new messages on your mailbox. Dial 9 124 and follow the instructions in order to listen your messages. The first time you connect to your voicemail, you will be asked to set a password for access to your voicemail. Headset or Handset: You can use headset instead handset. This is done if you connect the headset coiled cord to the IP Phone base and leave the handset in its place. To answer incoming calls: Press ok to accept the call. Your call is on speakerphone, to talk through the handsets must lift the handset from its position. To place outbound call: Enter the number you want to call and then press ok. Your call is on speakerphone, to talk through the headset must pick up the handset from its position. Programmable Keys: LG8802A IP phone has four programmable keys. Programmable keys gives you access to various functions.
