Global Road Safety Partnership Vision and Mission Vision A world free of road crash death and injury Mission the sustainable reduction of road death and injury in low and middle income countries. By Being one among many partners making good practice interventions

How we started 1999 - Began as 1 of 4 Business Partners for Development Programs initiated by the World Bank Today - hosted by the International Federation of the Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies

Universal Declaration of Human Rights article 3, the Right to Life being breached by road crashes Recognition of Road Crash Crisis as Humanitarian Issue Recognition that the real hazard in road safety is universal the energy of movement does not mind which nationality you are! As such, a common global approach is possible

Creating a Consistent Global Approach 187 National Societies, highly visible and trusted in their communities Auxiliary status to their governments IFRC has Permanent Observer status at UN 2011 Annual Conference, Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies recognized road safety as a humanitarian issue and agreed to include in their programs
