Installation 1. Run setupsynchrolicenseserver.exe, FlexNet Publisher License Server Installer window will appear. 2. Select Next : 3. Change the installation location (Optional) and select Next : 1
4. Select Next : 5. Review the installation details and select Install : 2
6. Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 is required to install, tick the box and select Next : 7. Read and accept the license agreement, select Yes : 3
8. If required change the HTTP Port to connect to the license manager (Optional) and select Next: 9. Change the service name for future reference to SynchroLicenseServer, NO spaces are allowed or the service will not be accessible in Windows Services, tick Run as a service and select Next: 4
10. Tick the Start server now box and select Next : 11. Select Done: 5
12. If the service does not start you will need to start it manually or restart the computer. You can now connect to the license server by navigating to http://localhost:8090/ (Where 8090 is the default port selected during installation) in any web browser. 13. The Administration button will allow you to login to the license server to activate and to change the default password: 6
The default User Name and Password is admin, you will be able to change this on first login: 7
Vendor Daemon Installation The Synchro Vendor Daemon is provided with the license manager installation files, if you do not have the Synchro Vendor Daemon please contact Synchro Support (support@synchroltd.com) and provide your company information. 1. Save the Synchro Vendor Daemon SYNCHRO.exe to the FlexNet Synchro License Server Manager installation directory, default (C:\Program Files (x86)\flexnet Publisher License Server Manager (Unless changed during installation): 8
License File Activation To activate the Shared User License Manager, you will need to provide Synchro Activation Support (activation@synchroltd.com) with the MAC address of the server to create your license file. 1. Connect to the license server by navigating to http://localhost:8090/ (Where 8090 is the default port selected during installation) in any web browser. 2. Login to the Administration console using the admin login, if this is the first time you are logging in to the admin console you will be requested to change the admin password, the default User Name and Password is admin : 9
3. Select System Information from the left hand side of the console and copy the "Ethernet Address: XXXXXXXXXXXX : 4. Please provide the "Ethernet Address: XXXXXXXXXXXX with company information to Synchro Activation Support (activation@synchroltd.com) to receive your license file. 5. When you have received the *.lic license file save it to the FlexNet Synchro License Server Manager installation directory, default: C:\Program Files (x86)\flexnet Publisher License Server Manager (Unless changed during installation): 10
6. Login to the Administration console, select Vendor Daemon Configuration on the left hand side and select Import License : 7. Select Browse and select the license file saved previously, tick the box Overwrite License File on License Server and select Import License : 11
8. Select Concurrent to view your Synchro Shared Licenses: 2. From this page you can see what features you have available, how many licenses are in use and available, check the expiration and find out which host machines the licenses are checked out to: 13
