PETNET Direct is the next generation of online dose scheduling, ordering and management reports powered by MI LifeNet. PETNET Direct streamlines the ordering process by allowing users to define what data to capture and report. Preferences Prior to submitting your first order using PETNET Direct you will need to set the Preferences. The Preferences section allows you to determine what information you would like to capture for reporting purposes and to customize the layout of your order form. You will only need to set these options one time, but can update them as needed. *NOTE: When one user sets the Preferences, they will be set for all users in the facility. Multi-site users will need to set the Preferences for each individual facility. 1. Click on the Practice Management link or click on the PETNET Direct quick link from the MI LifeNet home page. 2. If you are not using the quick link, select PETNET Direct from the left-hand navigation menu. Multi-site users will be required to choose the facility you are ordering for prior to entering PETNET Direct. 3. Click on the Preferences link. 4. Select the unit of measure. 5. The locale will default to English. 6. Select the date format. 7. Select the time format. 8. Enter the opening time of your facility in 24-hour format. 9. Enter the closing time of your facility in 24-hour format. 10. Select the calibration increments. The calibration increments will determine the calibration time available when ordering doses. 11. The Patient Name, Referring Physician, Indication, CPT Code, and Reason fields are customizable. You can hide, display, or require them by selecting the appropriate option from the drop-down list. 12. Save your Display Preferences. A message will notify you that your Display Preferences have been saved. 13. You also have the option to determine which indications display in your indications drop-down list. Click Indications from the right-hand navigation menu. Uncheck the indications that your facility does not scan to remove them from the menu. Save your Preferred Indications. A message will tell you the number of indications that were saved. 14. Click the Today link to go back to the PETNET Direct main page to begin ordering your doses. Add Patient We recommend adding your patient to your MI LifeNet database before ordering your doses (not required to order doses online). These names will then be available in the drop-down list when you are ordering your doses. The Add Patient option allows you to add patients with minimal information. 1. Click Add Patient. 2

2. Enter the patient s last name and first name. This is a required field. Any existing matches in your patient database will display as you type the last and first name so not to duplicate an entry. 3. Enter the patient s date of birth and/or medical record number. These fields are optional. 4. Click Save. If you would like to enter additional information, you may do so by going to Patient Management located within Practice Management. See the Patient Management tutorial or help document for complete instructions. Add Physician We recommend adding your referring physicians to your MI LifeNet database before ordering your doses (not required to order doses online). These names will then be available in a drop-down list when you are ordering your doses. The Add Physician option allows you to add physicians with minimal information. 1. Click Add Physician. 2. Enter the physician s last name and first name. This is a required field. Any existing matches in your physician database will display as you type the last and first name so not to duplicate an entry. 3. Enter the physician s group and/or physician specialty. These are optional fields. 4. Click Save. If you would like to enter additional information, you may do so by going to Physician Management located within Practice Management. In order for your referring physicians to have access to MI University and View Patient Results, you will need to go to Physician Management to create a Physician Account with a username and password. See the Physician Management tutorial or help document for complete instructions. Ordering Doses The current day s doses will display. If doses have not been ordered, it will say No doses were found. You may also view the doses for an entire week or month by clicking on This Week or This Month. A printer-friendly version is available within each view. An orange reminder will display above the dose schedule beginning 90 days prior to your RAM license expiring. When the message is red, indicating that your license has expired, you will not be able to submit an order using PETNET Direct until your RAM license has been updated. Please send all new or updated RAM licenses directly to your PETNET pharmacy. To notify the pharmacy that no doses are needed: If you will not be ordering doses for your next business day you can notify your PETNET pharmacy by clicking the No Doses button. 1. Select your next business day using the calendar icon. The arrows on either side of the Today link will display the previous or next month. 2. Click No Doses. 3. A pop-up message will display to confirm the No Dose Notification. Click OK. 3

4. You and your PETNET pharmacy will receive an email confirmation. The pharmacy will also receive a fax confirmation that no doses are needed for the selected date. To add single doses (go to step 6 if using the Multiple Dose Template): 1. Select the delivery date of your next dose order using the calendar icon. The arrows on either side of Today will display the previous or next month. 2. Click Add Dose. 3. Complete the dose form based on your Preferences. Check the NOPR or Previously Scanned boxes, if applicable. 4. Click Save. 5. Continue entering all doses. Each dose will display on the schedule for the selected shipping date. To add multiple doses (follow steps 14-26 if not using the Multiple Dose Template): 6. Select the delivery date of your next dose order using the calendar icon. The arrows on either side of the Today link will display the previous or next month. 7. Click Add Multiple Doses. 8. Select the drug. *NOTE: All doses will be added with the selected drug. 9. Add the dose amount (mci). The amount entered will default for all doses. 10. Complete the dose form based on your Preferences. *NOTE: The calibration time defaults from your Preferences. The time and mci fields are not locked and may be manually updated. 11. To add doses to the schedule, check the Add box next to each dose. 12. Click the Add button located at the top or bottom of the form. *NOTE: The number of doses and drug you have selected will display. 13. Click OK to confirm the doses added. 14. You may edit the dose prior to submitting to your PETNET pharmacy by clicking on the Edit link in the Actions column. Update the desired information. *NOTE: If you change the date, your dose will be moved to the new shipping date. Click Update. 15. You may cancel the dose prior to submitting to your PETNET pharmacy by clicking the Cancel link in the Actions column. Click Cancel This Appointment to confirm. The status will change to CANCELED. This will remove the option to send the dose to your PETNET pharmacy, but you can still track the referral in your reports. 16. You may delete the dose prior to submitting to your PETNET pharmacy by clicking the Delete link in the Actions column. Click Delete, then click OK to confirm. The dose will be removed from the schedule. *NOTE: This is a permanent deletion. 17. You do not have to submit your order to PETNET immediately after adding all patients. All information that has been added to the schedule will be saved until you are ready to submit it. When you are ready to submit your order, select the doses that you would like to submit by checking the appropriate boxes under the Order column. If you would like to submit all doses on the schedule, click Select Unsubmitted Doses. 4

18. Click Add Doses to Order. 19. The Edit Screen will display. You can monitor your progress through the ordering process by checking the progress bar in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. 20. The PO Number and Order Notes fields are optional. If you enter a PO Number, your invoices will automatically be sorted by PO number. The phone number is a required field and will auto-populate. If you do not have a phone number listed the phone number is incorrect, please contact your MI LifeNet Customer Care Specialist. You can enter the phone number manually if needed. 21. Click Review Order. 22. Review your dose order. If you need to edit the doses, click Back to Doses. You may also edit notes you entered on the Edit page by clicking Edit Order Notes. 23. When you are ready to submit your order, click Submit to PETNET. 24. The Submitted page will display. You can print this page for your records by clicking Printer-Friendly Version. 25. Click on View Doses to return to the scheduling screen. Within fifteen minutes of submitting your order, the Order column will change from Submitted to Received. To view the confirmation page of any previously submitted order, click on the Submitted or Received link in the Order column. 26. Messages, under the calendar icon, allow you to track all of the activity in PETNET Direct. You can see when and who submitted an order or no dose notification. An email confirmation of your order will be sent to the email address associated with your MI LifeNet username. Please confirm that your Customer Care Specialist has the correct email address on file. The email will contain the calibration times and dose amounts from your order, but will not contain patient information. The pharmacy will receive an email confirmation, fax confirmation, and the order will automatically populate the pharmacy management system. *NOTE: Prescribers physically located in the state of OHIO are required to retain a signed copy of each order for three years. Upon placing your order, PETNET will automatically fax you a copy of your order for signature and retention. Please provide a fax number for your Customer Care Specialist for this purpose.
