LOGGING ON TO THE BUDGET DATAMART (BDM) 1. Open Internet Explorer and go to the URL H The URL will take you to the NEW BDM homepage. BEFORE logging on to BDM Hyperion you must setup/confirm your Internet Explorer browser settings. Documentation is available on the BDM Hyperion homepage; click on Documentation. 2. In the NetID and Password field, Enter your NetID and NetID Password. 3. Click the Logon button. 4. You may receive the Trusted Site dialog box (see below). Click Yes. 5. Once you have successfully logged in, you will enter the Hyperion Workspace. Hyperion Workspace looks and acts much like the Windows Explorer environment. The list of folders you have access to will be displayed in a tree structure. Each folder contains either subfolder(s) or Hyperion Document(s) (Formerly known as Brio Documents or Brio reports). 6. From the Root folder, select the folder you want to open. If the selected folder has sub-folders they will expand otherwise you will see the list of Hyperion Documents listed in the right pane. HINT: To see the standard set of BDM Hyperion documents, you need to select the folder NOT the + icon preceding the folder. 7. Double Click on the Hyperion Document you want to open. In the following example, the selected BDM/Hyperion Document is the Expense Summary Document found in the Budget Data Mart folder. Revision Date: 4/15/2009 (alb) Page 4

DOWNLOADING THE HYPERION IR WEB CLIENT & OPENING A BDM DOCUMENT Hyperion IR web client allows you to view and refresh your Hyperion documents. The downloading of the Hyperion IR web client is a onetime only process (unless you get a new computer or upgrade your current one). The following dialog boxes will appear. This is the beginning of the process that starts and prepares the IR web client download. 1. When you receive the InstallSheild Wizard dialog box, click the Next button. 2. You will receive an informational processing dialog box as the web client is being download. BE PATIENT. This is not a quick install! Revision Date: 4/15/2009 (alb) Page 6
3. The web client has been successfully install when you receive the following dialog box. Click the OK button. 4. Next the Hyperion Expense Summary Document (formerly known as Brio Document or Brio Report) will open. The Hyperion document should have the same look and feel as the old Brio Document/Report. HURRAY!! 5. Make your Filter choices Now back to opening your BDM Hyperion document. Revision Date: 4/15/2009 (alb) Page 7
8. Your selection, the Expense Summary Document, is displayed. HOW TO CLOSE YOUR IR DOCUMENT To close an open BDM IR document, you will click on the X ( ) just like you always have. You will be returned to workspace where you can select a new document or folder or Log Off or Exit from the Hyperion Workspace. Revision Date: 4/15/2009 (alb) Page 8
HOW TO LEAVE THE HYPERION WORKSPACE There are two ways to exit from Hyperion workspace; Log Off and Exit. Log Off Logging off of Hyperion workspace and retaining your Internet Explorer connection. From the File dropdown toolbar menu, select Log Off then click the Yes button. Exit Logging off of Hyperion workspace and your Internet Explorer connection. STEPS FOR SAVING A BDM/HYPERION DOCUMENT TO YOUR COMPUTER From within your BDM/Hyperion document you will do the same as you do now. PRACTICE SESSION Practice the following: 1. Close IE 2. Go to the new BDM homepage 3. Log in 4. Open the BDM folder 5. Open your most used BDM document 6. Save it to the desktop 7. Exit from Hyperion 8. Close IE 9. Open the saved BDM Hyperion document 10.
