To get to the NRIS data... Click on the NRIS button The Data button will give you access to the data page. You can login by pushing the Login button, or you can wait until the system asks you to login later. Sample data are available through the data page. Sample data Links are highlighted in red. From this point, you can click on a button to access the kind of NRIS data that you want: by Well, Lease, or Field. You can also access Landgrid data for mapping applications. 2
Your Login features are... Registered users login to get access to their personal profiles and download directories. The clock does not start for Hourly subscribers until they start data searches. New subscribers will be asked to provide all of their contact and billing information, as well as choose whether they want to be a monthly or an hourly subscriber. This page is accessible through the Login button, or through the Customer Administration link that is at the bottom of many pages. Through this page you can do things such as update your profile information, check your download directory, check your account activity, check your mailbox or leave us a message in the guest book. 3
After your Well button click... Click on Browse Completion Data At this point, the system will ask you to login if you haven t done so already. This is the well query page where you define the parameters of your data search. Enter specific parameters for your search here, and/or enter a location below. For example Select the desired location by entering the block of Townships- Ranges (or the sections within one TR). Enter the NW corner here. Enter the SE corner here. Click on Run Search 4
Your search results are returned in a list form. Click on the well in question to see a detailed on-screen well record. You can print either of these pages using your browser print button. 5
After your Lease button click... Click on Browse by Lease This is the lease query page where you define the parameters of your data search. For leases, all query parameters are optional. However, some parameters are necessary to prevent huge query results! For example To select all Arbuckle leases in Latimer County... Enter the formation name here. Select the county here. Click on Run Search 6
Your search results are returned in a list form. Click on the lease in question to see a detailed on-screen lease production record, or on the assigned field name to see all production for the entire field. You can print either of these pages using your browser print button. 7
Linear or Log Scale Production decline curves can be viewed by clicking the Production Graph button. 8
After your Field button click... Click on Browse Field Data This is the field query page where you define the parameters of your data search. For fields, all query parameters are optional. However, some parameters are necessary to prevent huge query results! For example To select the Ringwood field in Major County... Enter the field name here. Click on Run Search 9
Your search results are returned in a list form. Click on the field in question to see a detailed on-screen field production record, or on the associated leases to see a list of the leases within that field (and then, production for those leases.) You can print either of these pages using your browser print button. 10
Back at the Lease Data page, click on Browse By Producer. Click on Browse By Producer This is the producer query page where you define the parameters of your data search. For producers, all query parameters are optional. However, some parameters are necessary to prevent huge query results! For example To select all producers with offices in Wichita and leases in Canadian County... Enter Wichita here Select Canadian here. Decide if you want to see the results by producer or by lease. Click on Run Search 11
Your search results are returned in either of two display list forms. 1. Display Results by Producer lists all of the producers that meet your criteria. Click on a producer name to find that producer s address information. Click on Leases to see a list of leases (and production) for that company. You can print any of these pages using your browser print button. 12
2. Display Results by Lease lists all of the leases that meet your criteria. Click on a producing company to find that producer s address information. Click on the Lease Total to see the aggregate production for the lease, or on the Producer/ Purchaser to see the lease s recent production broken down by producer and purchaser. Click on your FYI button... This page contains County Production Totals for the last 12 months, Wellfile Records Count by County, and Well Count by County. Top Leases and Top Producing Fields can also be viewed by selecting the product and year you are interested in. 14
An interactive mapping capability allows you to custom-build a map to meet your needs. Click on Trial Mapping to begin an interactive mapping session. Click Here A map area can be defined based on a county or a township/range location. Select an entire county here. Select the desired township-range location by entering 1) a single township 2) sections within a township by checking the boxes for desired sections 3) a block of townships by entering the NW and SE corners. Click Choose Map Layers after defining an area. 15
Select desired map features... Select the size of the map that you want to see on your screen. Select from available base layers under Choose Map Layers by holding your Control key to select multiple layers. Select which NRIS cart layers you want to include in your map (well, lease, or field). If NRIS data are in a Shopping Cart, the number of records will be indicated here. In this example, Roads, Hydrology, Landgrid, and NRIS Wells have been selected. and click on View Map to tell the system to build your map. 16
Within minutes, your custom-designed map is available for viewing, printing, downloading, and manipulating. Click here to download free mappingsoftware shapefiles of the basemap data. Click here to download NRIS data. (Normal digital download charges will apply.) Right-click on the map image to save image as a jpeg on your own computer that you can load into your documents or presentations. To use the map zoom feature, click the zoom radio button on, select a zoom level, and then click on the map near the area you want to see magnified. To use the map identify feature, click the identify radio button on, select a layer to identify, then click on a map feature to see detailed attribute information about that feature. 17 Note: Use your browser s Back button to return to a previous map after zoom or identify.
This map can be saved and viewed later. Type in a name for the map here. To see previously saved maps... Go back to the Select Map Area by clicking on Trial Mapping. Then click on Recent Maps. The Recent Maps page will list all of your saved maps that are available to be viewed again. 18
