This document contains important information about the current release. We strongly recommend that you read the entire document. McAfee DLP version 9.3.2 introduces feature enhancements and resolves issues present in the previous release. You must have version 9.2.0 or later installed on your target system before installing version 9.3.2. Version 9.3.2 does not support coexistence with previous versions; therefore, in a managed environment, all appliances must be upgraded to version 9.3.2 at the same time. Audit logs Adds an option to display the names of modified policy-related items in audit log entries epolicy Orchestrator Adds support for version 5.1 McAfee DLP Prevent Improves SMTP connection handling (models 4400, 5550, and virtual appliances only) Regardless of your appliance model, the sendmail configuration file is updated. If you have modified this file, such as changing the MAX_DAEMON_CHILDREN value, additional configuration is needed after installing version 9.3.2. Refer to KnowledgeBase article KB81924. McAfee Logon Collector Adds support for version 2.1 Resolved issues These issues are resolved in this release of the product. For a list of issues fixed in earlier releases, see the release notes for the specific release. Incidents and cases Resolves an issue where incidents displayed the Active Directory (AD) User ID as unknown if McAfee DLP Monitor did not correctly process AD information from McAfee DLP Manager (922434) Resolves an issue where users with limited permissions could not view the rules list on the Incidents page when filtering by rule (941497) Resolves an issue where McAfee DLP Endpoint incidents displayed only one rule, even if multiple rules were triggered; separate incidents are now displayed for every rule triggered (942278) 3
McAfee DLP Discover Resolves an issue where browsing shares with 2000 or more files caused the user interface to become unresponsive (922079) Resolves an issue where McAfee DLP Manager stopped reporting incidents for Classification and Inventory scans if the McAfee DLP Discover appliance was unregistered, re-installed, and reregistered (925144) Resolves an issue where performing a backup failed when many scans were configured in a high latency network (928902) Resolves an issue where a McAfee DLP Discover incident could be assigned to a case even when the evidence fetch failed; functionality is added to restore the missing evidence file if the scanned file is available in the original repository (949495) Resolves an issue where McAfee DLP Discover could not process files on a share with an access control list greater than 8 KB (943052) For more information on this issue, refer to KnowledgeBase article KB79993. Resolves an issue where McAfee DLP Discover scans could not be run after restoring a disaster recovery backup (951432) McAfee DLP Prevent Resolves an issue where HTTP Webmail incidents were incorrectly logged as HTTP POST incidents (907032) Resolves an issue where an incident showed that the most restrictive action was taken when an email message triggered more than one rule, even though the email message was allowed (919098) Resolves an issue where an email message with two attachments that triggered two separate rules was incorrectly allowed, even though an incident showed the email message was quarantined (955417) Scanned content Resolves an issue where Unigraphics CAD drawings were incorrectly classified as Microsoft Word documents (942549) Resolves a system process failure when McAfee DLP Monitor scanned an email message that did not have the newline after the header (952502) Upgrading Corrects an error that prevented McAfee DLP from upgrading (951752) Installation instructions For installation and upgrade instructions, see the McAfee Data Loss Prevention Product Guide, version 9.3.2.
