SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDELINES Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. These speakers are intended for indoor use only. Do not expose these speakers to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with moisture on or near these speakers. If moisture does get in or on these speakers, immediately unplug them from the power outlet and allow them to fully dry before reapplying power. Do not touch the power cord or any other connected cables with wet hands. If operating these speakers in a humid environment, ensure that no condensation occurs. Condensation could cause damage to the speaker cone and could cause a short in the amplifier, which in turn could cause fire or severe electric shock. Do not install these speakers on an unstable surface where they could fall and cause either personal injury or damage to the speakers and/or other equipment. Do not place or install these speakers in an area where they can be exposed to excessive amounts of heat, dust, humidity, oil, smoke, or combustible vapors. Prior to operation, check the power cord for physical damage. Do not use if physical damage has occurred. Before plugging the speakers into a power outlet, ensure that the outlet provides the same type and level of power required by the speakers. These speakers use grounded power cords and require a ground connection for safe operation. Ensure that the power source has a proper ground connection. Do not modify the plug or use a "cheater" plug to bypass the ground connection. Unplug these speakers from the power source when not in use. Disconnect these speakers from their power source when replacing the fuse. Replace the fuse only with the same type. Do not bypass the purpose of the fuse by shorting the contacts or by any other means.

Take care to prevent damage to the power cord. Do not allow it to become crimped, pinched, walked on, or become tangled with other cords. Ensure that the power cord does not present a tripping hazard. Never unplug these speakers by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the connector head. Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before making any electrical connections. Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water. These speakers have no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify these speakers. SETUP AND OPERATION 1. Power off and unplug all equipment to be connected. 2. Carefully remove the speakers and all materials from the packaging. WARNING! These monitors have no grill covering the speaker diaphragm, so extreme care must be taken to avoid touching and damaging the speaker cones when removing the monitors from the packaging! 3. Ensure that the POWER switch on each enclosure is set to the OFF position. 4. Position each monitor in the desired location. Ensure that the monitor is stable and fully supported upon whatever surface it is positioned and that there is sufficient room to reach the controls on the back of the monitor. 5. For each monitor, connect a balanced XLR, balanced TRS, unbalanced TRS, unbalanced TS, or unbalanced RCA cable (not included), then plug the other end to the audio source (mixer, headphone output, line output, etc.). 6. For each monitor, plug the AC power cord into the monitor, then plug the other end into a nearby AC power outlet. Note that the input power cord is grounded and it should be connected to a grounded power source. Do not use a cheater plug or otherwise bypass the grounding. 7. Double-check all your connections to ensure that they are fully connected and secure. 8. Turn the VOLUME knob on each monitor fully counterclockwise. This ensures that you don't inadvertently damage the speakers, or your hearing, when power and audio material is applied. 9. Switch the POWER to the ON position. 10. Plug in and power on all connected devices. Start playback of your audio source(s). 11. Turn the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase the volume to a comfortable level. 12. If the high-frequencies sound too bright, try using the HF ADJUST switch to attenuate them by -1dB or -2dB. If the high-frequencies sound a bit muddied or subdued, try boosting them by setting the HF ADJUST switch to the +1dB position. 6
