Installing the Framework Financial Accounting for Financial Services Framework (FASF) provides an integrated sample of how accounting could work within the Financial Services Industry Foundation. It provides a sample process for creating provisional credits within the Debit Claim Exception Flow. For an overview of the capabilities of this framework please consult the Accounting Overview document provided elsewhere in the media. This document provides technical guidance for installing the Financial Accounting for Financial Services Framework. FAFS framework includes both the Financial Services Industry Foundation (FSIF) and the Financial Accounting Framework along with sample accounting rules in a MyCoCMAcctg Ruleset. The framework includes the following RuleSets: PegaApp RuleSet common to all frameworks PegaAppFin Financial accounting rules PegaIFW Imported data classes based on IBM s Industry Framework (IFW) PegaFS Common rules for Financial Services organizations PegaLuceneSearch Rules that facilitate queries to the Lucene index of the Work table MyCoAccounting Sample accounting entries; samples are built on top of Process Commander and do not use the Financial Services Industry Foundation processes MyCoCM Rules pertaining to the sample implementation of the framework; contains work classes for various types of work, including: Debit Exception

Installing the Framework 3 Intended Audience This document assumes that the installer has the following skills and capabilities: Database administration Able to create databases and users in the DBMS that will be used for the deployment (Oracle or MS SQL Server) Able to run database scripts in the DBMS that will be used for the deployment (Oracle or MS SQL Server) PegaRULES Process Commander administration Able to find and update rule forms Able to use Process Commander Database Utilities (prdbutil) Able to use the Process Commander System Management Application
4 Financial Accounting Framework Installation Guide Installing the Framework Follow the steps below to install the framework. Step 1: Verify/Install Prerequisites In this step you verify that the following prerequisites have been met. PegaRULES Process Commander V5.5 SP1 has been installed The installed Process Commander RuleSet versions are not lower than: Pega-IntSvcs: 05-05-15 Pega-ProCom: 05-05-15 Pega-Rules: 05-05-15 Pega-WB: 05-05-15 PegaApp V6.1 has been installed. The software and installation documentation are included on the media. Financial Services Industry Foundation (FSIF) V 2.3 has been installed. The software and installation documentation are included on the media. The Financial Accounting Framework V 2.3 has been installed. The software and installation documentation are included on the media.
Installing the Framework 5 Step 2: Load the Framework RuleSets In this step, you import the RuleSet files that form the framework. Files are located on your media. 1. Use a File Transfer Protocol utility to copy the MyCoCMActg_v2.3.zip file to your system s ServiceExport directory on the server. The exact location of this directory varies depending upon your application server. For example, the Apache Tomcat path is /contextroot/work/catalina/localhost/prweb/staticcontent/global/servi ceexport where contextroot is the path defined for this application. 2. Log in as a Process Commander Administrator. 3. From the File menu, select Import > Import Archive to display the import utility. 4. Select Zip File On Server as the Import Mode. 5. Select the MyCoCMActg_v2.3.zip. 6. Check the Compile Libraries and Overwrite Existing Data flags. 7. Click Import. Step 3: Stop and Restart the Server
6 Financial Accounting Framework Installation Guide Step 4: Verify the RuleSets 1. Log on as a Process Commander Administrator. 2. Verify that the following RuleSets have been loaded. MyCoAccounting: 01-01-01 MyCoCM: 01-01-10 MyCoCMActg: 01-01-02 MyCoIF: 01-01-10 MyCoFS: 01-01-10 PegaFS: 01-01-10 PegaIFW: 01-01-01 PegaAppFin: 06-01-04 PegaApp: 06-01 PegaLuceneSearch: 01-01-10 Step 5: Verify the Install In this step, you verify that the MyCoAccounting Sample Application in the Financial Accounting Framework is installed. 1. Log on using the ID CMSysAdminAcctg, password is install. 2. From the menu, select the Run > Process > DebitExceptionClaim option. The Debit Exception Claim entry form displays. 3. Select any channel from the Received Via selection list. 4. Click Create. The Customer/Account Search action displays.
Installing the Framework 7 5. Enter Trevino in the Customer Name field. 6. Click Next>>. The Select Customer action displays. 7. Select the customer from the list and click Next >>. A list of accounts for the customer displays.
8 Financial Accounting Framework Installation Guide 8. Select the account from the list and click Next >>. A list of transactions for the account displays. 9. Select any Withdrawal transaction from the list and click Submit. The Grant Provisional Credit action should be displayed.
Installing the Framework 9 10. Click Submit to process the provisional credit. A Debit Claim Exception Dispute action displays. 11. Expand the Suspense section of the Work Information area to display the accounting entries that have been generated. The installation of the Financial Accounting for Financial Services Framework is complete.
