Motorimage Metasat Mobile App Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing Motorimage Metasat. Motorimage Metasat is a telematics system that keeps you connected with your vehicle via mobile phone. This manual provides the functions that are directly accessible from your smartphone-tablet device (ios/android/windows Phone). To use Motorimage Metasat, 1. Install the Motorimage Metasat device to your vehicle 2. Download the free Motorimage Metasat Mobile App App ios (5+) available on App Store Android (2.3 +) available on Play Store Windows phone available on Windows Store 3. Open the application and sign in by entering your Login and Password which will be sent to you via SMS during the activation of the device. This has to be done just once. 4. Set a PIN of your choice (you may change the PIN from the Options menu). 5. Once you have completed the steps above, you will be directed to the main page. 3
Main Page The Main Page displays the features and functions available in the mobile app. At the top of the main page, you will be able to see your vehicle s number plate. 1. This section shows the last recorded location of the vehicle. 2. This section displays the following status: Ignition Status (On : green; Off : red) System Operating Mode (Normal, Transport or Maintenance) Privacy : Disabled/Enabled 3. This gives you access to the features available in the mobile app. 1 2 3 4
Commands This menu sends commands to the device including: Position request: manually requests the position of the vehicle. Privacy Mode On: tracking will be disabled. Your car cannot be tracked in case of theft. Privacy Mode Off: tracking will be enabled by default. Your car will continue to be tracked in case of theft. * You have the option of activating the privacy mode. However, please note when you activate this mode, the system is unable to track and all services will be compromised. Compensation Guarantee (CG) will not be valid while the vehicle is in this mode. ServiceModeOn: disables all alerts for your vehicle. This places the device in maintenance mode (for example in the workshop, repairs, etc). Click send to enable command. TransportModeOn: stops tow away notifications. Use this mode if your vehicle is being transported or towed. Click send to enable command. ActiveModeOn: restores the standard mode of the device from the statuses described (ServiceMode/TransportMode). It should be used at all times except special situations such as maintenance, towing, etc... 5
Status The Vehicle Status menu provides various information on the vehicle and device, such as: 1. Ignition status: (On : green; Off : red) Odometer Reading : Click on odometer to set or reset the reading based on your car s odometer Next Maintenance: (Click on next maintenance to set a reminder for your next service. You can set a specific mileage for which a reminder will be sent to you via email. You can also edit the default message which is sent along with the reminder.) Engine Start Block: red; Unblock : green (Only if fitted with immobiliser. Not available for Motorimage Metasat) 2. Privacy: Disabled Automatic Engine Block: Lock : red; Unlock : green (Not available for Motorimage Metasat) System Operating Mode: (Based on the commands you have given, it can be in either normal, transport or maintenance mode) 3. Reserve battery indicates the back up battery of the device (Green : good; Grey: weak) - + Car Battery voltage (Indicates the voltage level of the car battery) Car Battery status (Good : green; Weak : red) 1 2 3 6
Map The Map provides the exact position of the vehicle, clearly indicating the address (city, street and street number) if this information is available. The Car finder function displays the position of the phone (in red), in relation to the vehicle (in blue) on the map. Click on the Cursor icon to centre the map on the vehicle s last detected position. With moving vehicles it is possible to follow them by clicking on the Routes icon followed by Tracking. Click on the Routes icon followed by the Log of routes icon to view routes travelled over the past 30 days, with a time selection range of 2 hours. With the Google map view it is possible to add traffic information. It is possible to search a new address and centre the map view on it. The Google Street View functions offers the best identification of the routes and parking spots. Click and drag the icon to anywhere on the map to view the actual location. Street view is only available for selected streets which are highlighted in blue when the icon is clicked and dragged across the map. This icon allows you to switch between Google Map, Satellite, Hybrid, and OSM. 7
Map : Tracking Tracking allows you to perform live tracking on the map. It is possible to track moving vehicles by clicking the Routes followed by Tracking icon Street View Map is also available with this function. To access it, hold and move the icon to the selected location. Street view only displays the location that you have selected and not the entire journey travelled by the vehicle. Simply click X to close the street view map. 8
Map : Log of Routes On Map, it is possible to request a Log of the routes, by date and time for the last 30 days. Select the icon and then to search the routes travelled over the last 30 days, with a time selection range of 2 hours. The App will then graphically report the following on the map: The routes travelled during the 2 selected hours. Stopping (when car is placed in the same coordinates more than 5 minutes with ignition ON) S Parking (when ignition is detected Off) P Moving (when the car is moving with the ignition on) The App will then graphically report the routes travelled on the map (during the selected 2 hours). Messages The device installed on the vehicle is able to send notifications to users connected through the App to report anomalies/events such as: Vehicle battery voltage below optimal level Vehicle battery disconnected When ecall button is pressed Crashes The information is sent to the user via text message and Push Notifications. Anomaly/event notifications are sent out when there is GSM coverage. Multi-Vehicle Management From the user profile it is also possible to manage a greater number of vehicles matched with the same client. By clicking on the icon on the top left or any menu, the select vehicle menu will appear: where you can access the list of vehicles matched to the same fleet and select them one at a time. 10
History of events The History of events provides a brief outline of the events relative to the last 24 hours of use of the vehicle: Ignition On/Off Crashes Vehicle Battery Disconnection Check Vehicle Battery (charge status) SW updates carried out on device By clicking on a specific event, you are able access the map which indicates where the historical event occured. Click and drag the icon to the location intended on the map to view it. 11
Score The Score menu allows you to check all your trips, driving scores per trip, driving events and overall driving score. It also shows the driving events on each trip including mileage, duration, average speed and number of accelerations on each trip taken. On the top left of the page, you are able to see the mileage of your vehicle from the point of device activation and the number of trips taken. On the top right of the page, your overall driving score is indicated. Green indicates a good score, yellow indicates an average score and red indicates a poor score. The latest 20 trips are displayed at any one time. Simply click to select a trip and click again on the map to view your selected trip and driving event points on the map. 12
Score : Driving Events By clicking on the score for the selected trip. icon, you are able to view all driving events By clicking on a specific driving event, you can obtain more details regarding the event. The selected driving event can be displayed on the map. To view the exact location of the driving event via street view, click the the bottom right of the map, drag the icon on icon to the area of the driving event and drop the icon on the specific area. To exit street view simply click on the X on the top right of the screen. Type of driving events displayed could include any of the following: Harsh cornering Harsh acceleration Harsh braking 13
Geofences Geofence allows you to track your vehicle within a specific perimeter that you set To use geofences, click on the geofences icon Click on the + and add a new geofence Rename your geofence on the right side of the screen and save it Click on the newly named geofence and mark your radius by clicking on the map point by point creating a perimeter. If your vehicle happens to drive away or in the perimeter, a notification will be sent to your portable device. 14
Point of Interest Point of interest or POI is a specific point or location that you may like to view or mark on the map for current or future references. To set a POI, click on the POI icon. Click the + and key in the name of your POI and click and save Your saved POI will be marked by the pink space needle on the map. The POI will cover a 100-meter radius which you will be able to choose if you want a notification 100 meters prior to arriving at your POI or if you are moving away from your POI. 15
Notifications Notifications allows you to set the notifications sent to you To access notifications, click on the notification icon Click on the + and you will see 3 options, which are Speed Control, Geofences Control and POI control. 1) Speed Control-which allows you to be notified if you are either over or under speeding by selecting your preferred option. Key in your speed limit in the enter value section. 2) Geofences Control- Allows you to choose to be notified if your Subaru is entering or exiting the geofence. Choose the name of the Geofence you like to be notified for in the select object section. 3) POI Control-Allows you to be notified if you are visiting or getting far away from the POI. Click select object to choose your POI destination 16
Options The Options menu displays your Account Profile info and allows you to change your user information such as Login name, password and PIN code. Certain settings and information functions are in the Options menu: Account Profile: allows you to change your car s number plate, username and password. Simply click on Login to edit your Login name and password. Change PIN: PIN is a 4-digit number that prevents unauthorised access to your mobile app. You can change the PIN by clicking it. About Motorimage Metasat: allows you to view the App version by clicking it. Change User: enables you to log out of your account in the app and sign in as another user (using a different user name and password). Click on change user and select Yes when prompted by the App. This will re-direct you to the Login page Select units of measurement: allows you to choose your desired measurement (either km or miles) to be used throughout the App. 17
Optional Tracking Feature This optional feature provides real time smooth tracking whereby your vehicle s movement is updated every 30 seconds, every 400m travelled, or everytime a cornering event is detected. To activate this feature, please contact our CSE SOC. 18
