Standardization in Abu Dhabi e-government Programme have four key collaterals with policy and Standards having mandatory obligations nature An expression of management expectations regarding expected and prohibited activities and behaviours in support of organisational objectives, for a specific management discipline. Policy A collection of mandatory obligations applicable to a single management discipline that government entities are expected to adhere to. Mandatory Control Standards will be supported by one or more Control Specifications that will vary on their expected level of applicability. Documents intended to provide supplemental, non-mandatory advice to government entities to help them in achieving compliance with governmentwide policies and standards or promote best practices in a certain management discipline. Guides Standards Templates & Checklist Supporting tools aim to provide ready to use forms, checklist, models, job description, procedures or any other tools that would assist government entities in implementing government-wide policies and standards or promote best practices in a certain management discipline. 4
