Mobile App Windows Authentication & SSL Config Revised: 08/02/2017 Job Aid This Job Aid is intended for agency IT staff and explains how to enable Windows Authentication and SSL for your mobile applications site. Before performing these steps, do the following: Verify that Tenmast has updated the services on your server. Tenmast will email you an SSL certificate named tenmast.mobile.pfx. Copy the certificate to your server. Install Windows Authentication 1 Login to the IIS server with an account that has Administrator rights. 2 Click the Start button at bottom left, enter Server Manager in the search box, and select it in the list to open it. 3 Server Manager opens. On the menu tree on the left, expand the Roles menu, right-click on the Web Server (IIS) menu, and select Add Role Services from the pop-up menu. 2017 Tenmast Software. 4 The Add Role Services wizard opens. Scroll down to the Security group and check Windows Authentication. 6 When installation is finished, the Installation Results screen is displayed. Click the Close button. 7 On the left menu tree in Server Manager, expand the Roles menu, expand the Web Server (IIS) menu, and select the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager menu. 8 In the Connections panel, expand the menu for your server, expand the Sites menu, and select the site on which Tenmast services are hosted. 2017 Tenmast Software. 9 The site s Home panel displays. Scroll down to the IIS group and double-click the Authentication icon. 10 The Authentication panel appears. Right-click on Windows Authentication and select Enable from the pop-up menu. 11 Right-click on Anonymous Authentication and select Disable from the pop-up menu. 2017 Tenmast Software. Enable SSL 1 On the left menu tree in Server Manager, expand the Roles menu, expand the Web Server (IIS) menu, and select the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager menu. 2 In the Connections panel, select your server. 3 The server s Home panel displays. 4 The Server Certificates panel is displayed. In the Actions panel to the right, select Import 5 The Import Certificate screen opens. Click Browse button. 6 The Open screen opens. Find and select the SSL certificate named tenmast.mobile.pfx that you received in email and copied to your server. Then click the Open button. 2017 Tenmast Software. 7 On the Import Certificate screen, enter the Password FDgTyRT3. Check the Allow this certificate to be exported box, then click the OK button. 8 In the Connections panel, expand the menu for your server, expand the Sites menu, and select the site on which Tenmast services are hosted. 9 In the Actions panel to the right, select Bindings 10 The Site Bindings screen opens. 11 The Add Site Binding screen opens. From the Type drop-down list, select https. From the SSL Certificate drop-down list, select the certificate you just imported. Change the Port if desired. Then click the OK button. 12 On the Site Bindings screen, select the binding for Type http, then click the Remove button. 13 At the confirmation message, click the Yes button. 14 Click the Close button. 2017 Tenmast Software. 15 In the site s Home panel, scroll down to the IIS group and double-click the SSL Settings icon. 16 The SSL Settings panel displays. Set Up Work Orders Mobile Application This only applies to version 1.0.4.2 or later of the Work Orders Mobile Application. 1 Tap the Tenmast Work Orders icon to open it. 3 Under the Setup Sync tab, enter the Server Address to Sync to. This is the new URL for your mobile applications site, using https instead of http. Enter your Username, formatted as DOMAIN\Username. Then enter your Password and tap Save Sync Settings. 4 Tap Retrieve User List From Server. 5 Click the Back button on your device, then tap Login In. 2017 Tenmast Software.
