How is a PDF created in MicroStation? PDF files are created through MicroStation s print facility 1. Select File>Print to open the Print dialog box. 2. In the Print dialog box, change the printer driver to pdf.pltcfg. 3. Markup_pdf.pltcfg Markup_pdf.pltcfg is a customized version of the delivered PDF printer driver configuration file. It s used by the Markups dialog when creating PDF files. Resolution, Raster Quality, and other settings are optimized for the Markup workflow. Geospatial PDFs from MicroStation DGN must have valid Geographic Coordinate System defined. User-defined GCS s may not be recognized. Reproject to a delivered GCS if needed. PDF Measuring Allows measuring within a PDF document Retains the model units for both the Master as well as Reference files Enable measuring in in the PDF pltcfg. View, pan, zoom, rotate, and search these embedded i-models in a PDF document. Create new PDF from i-model Create an i-model from a design file From Adobe Acrobat, select File > Create > PDF From File. In the Files of type list box, select Bentley i-model (*.dgn). Select an i-model. (Optional) Click Settings to change the margins, paper size, and orientation.
