Overview Overview The PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 09 release includes all of the enhancements, software issues resolved, known issues, and database changes that were made in PM Compass 2.2 CU 01 through CU 09. Custom Programs Affected Sometimes an update can cause custom programs and reports to stop working as expected. Before applying this update, consider whether you have any custom programs or reports in the application area affected by the update. If so, contact Deltek Customer Care at http://support.deltek.com before you install the update. For steps to install the cumulative update, see Appendix A: Download and Install the Cumulative Update.

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 09 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 09 Released: July 7, 2017 Enhancements There are no enhancements in this release. Software Issues Resolved EPM System Administrator Defect 811813 Description: When you imported users into EPM SA from Active Directory, the system stopped importing when it reached 1000 groups. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers. Workaround: Export the Active Directory users and Groups to a CSV file and use the CSV import option in the EPM SA. Files Updated: Deltek.EPMSA.Client.Common.dll Defect 815524 Description: When you tried to import users into EPMSA using Active Directory, and a user in the group no longer existed in the domain, an error displayed: "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index." Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers. Workaround: None. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 08 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 08 Released: May 12, 2017 Enhancements There are no enhancements in this release. Software Issues Resolved Projects Defect 792661 Description: When progress entries were rejected, the email notification populated the BCC and CC fields. Depending on email server settings, this may have caused the assignee to receive multiple copies of the email notification. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers. Workaround: Configure the email server to remove duplicate addresses from the email list. This will result in just one email instead of multiple copies of the same email. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 06 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 06 Released: June 7, 2016 Enhancements Microsoft Window Server Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 is now part of the PM Compass compatible deployment technology. Deltek Open Plan Deltek Open Plan 8.0 integration is now part of the PM Compass supported/embedded deployment technology. Software Issues Resolved Projects» Enter Progress Defect 606799 Description: When you entered schedule progress (for example, added a resource or edited a progress value) and submitted the item, a message displayed ("Record already exists and cannot be added") and the item could not be submitted. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers entering schedule progress. Workaround: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Statusing.Client.dll Additional Notes: This bug was introduced in PM Compass Cumulative Update 13 Defect 603668 Description: When you loaded many activities with a lot of relationships, an out of memory exception error displayed. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers entering schedule progress. Workaround: Use the search fields to filter the data before performing the search. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 06 Items» Contractual Nonconformity» Corrective Action Request Defect 607203 Description: An error occurred during report processing after you clicked Print Current Item for the CAR item type. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers running the CAR item report. Workaround: The report is looking for the Cust15 column in the database. Add the Statement of Work source field in User-Defined Data» Source Fields (Table = Control Account Notes) to resolve this issue. Files Updated: Corrective Action Request.rdl Custom Reports Defect 604487 Description: An object reference error displayed when you used drillthrough in a custom report. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass customers using custom reports. Workaround: None. Files Updated: Deltek.Framework.Report.Client.dll Additional Information: In addition to this fix, you must change the Action setting in the RDL file. To do this, complete the following steps: 1. Open the RDL file in Report Designer. 2. Click on the text box that you want to edit. 3. In the text box Properties pane, in the Action section, click. 4. On the Text Box Properties dialog box, click Action. 5. Click Go to report. 6. In the Specify a report field, enter =. 7. On the Text Box Properties dialog box, click to add a parameter. 8. In the Name field, enter FrameworkDrillReportPath.

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 06 9. In the Value field, enter the report RDL name, for example, Drill Custom Report. 10. Click OK and save the RDL file changes. 11. Reload the report into PM Compass.

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 05 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 05 Released: April 8, 2016 Enhancements Browser Displays Version and Build Number When you enter the PM Compass address into your browser and click Enter, the browser now displays the version and build number. Software Issues Resolved Items» Explain Variance Defect 587450 Description: You were not able to edit the Due Date for an EoV Corrective Action child item. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users using EoV Corrective Action child items. Workaround: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Client.dll Login» User ID Defect 567886 Description: When you imported a user ID that contained periods into EPMSA using Import Users» From Active Directory, the imported user IDs were changed. Some of the periods were replaced with spaces. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users importing users from the active directory. Workaround: Export your user list from Active Directory into a text file and use the ASCII import feature. Alternatively add the users manually in EPMSA. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 04 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 04 Released: March 14, 2016 Projects» Enter Progress Defect 586120 Description: When you submitted progress and many Open Plan projects were associated with one PM Compass project, the process failed with the following error: Framework Exception: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into <project>. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass Oracle users entering progress. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Statusing.Client.dll

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 03 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 03 Released: February 5, 2016 Software Issues Resolved Items» Change Management Defect 569841 Description: The Update Budget Details Grid step action is now enabled to calculate the Budget columns correctly even when a resource is added to the project after a change request is submitted. Workaround Before Fix: None. Additional Notes: This is related to Defect 546538 (2.1.7 CU10). The Budget Details Grid was incorrect if a resource was added to the project after the item was created. The solution was to make the Update Budget Details Grid step action inactive. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Deltek.PMCompass.ApplicationAncestors.Server.dll Projects» List View Defect 573773 Description: New projects made visible in PM Compass did not display in the Projects List view. You had to use the Search dialog box and Select All to see them. Workaround Before Fix: Create a global search to select ALL projects. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Projects.Client.dll Deltek.PMCompass.Navigation.Client.dll Deltek.Framework.Navigation.Client.dll EPM Security Administrator Login Defect 570706 Description: You were unable to login to EPM Security Administrator using Windows Authentication if your User ID was in a different domain than the web server. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users logging into EPMSA using Windows Authentication. Workaround Before Fix: Log in from a machine on the authenticating domain. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 02 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 02 Released: October 15, 2015 Enhancements Explanation of Variance Report To help keep the Explanation of Variance item report on one page wide, the following changes were made: The variance table is now left justified. The decimals are no longer displayed for BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, BAC, EAC, and the variance columns. The SPI and CPI columns are now narrower. Software Issues Resolved Items» Change Management Defect 547012 Description: When a resource was added to the project after a change request was submitted, the Budget Detail grid Change Amount and Total were not recalculated correctly. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Defect 548199 Description: When a change management item failed during the complete step, the workflow action was set to Complete, not Continue Complete. If you click Complete after the item fails, and there are Cobra only changes (not in the schedule), those changes are applied twice to the live project. Workaround Before Fix: To get the Workflow Action back to Continue Complete, run this query: UPDATE CAM_ITEMDATA SET WORKFLOWFLAG = 'WorkFlowFailure' WHERE ITEMID = 'XYZ'; Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.ApplicationAncestors.Server.dll Reports» Cost Analysis» Schedule Traceability Resources Defect 546033 Description: A Hexadecimal value 0x27 error displayed when you previewed the Schedule Traceability Resources report for a project when the Location of Element of Cost field was set to Code.

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 02 Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users using the Schedule Traceability Resources report. Workaround Before Fix: There is no work around for not encountering the error; however, after closing the message, you can still display the Report Options dialog box and select ALL in the Location of Element of Cost field on the General tab then preview the report. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.ReportingAnalysis.Client.dll Weblink Defect 550287 Description: The unencrypted password for the user/account in Weblink that is used to connect to the Report Server was saved in the log file. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: DeltekPMCompass22CU002.exe Known Issues The following issue exists in this version and will be resolved in the future. Please contact Deltek Customer Care if this a known issue presents a significant impact to your business. PM Compass» Item Type Configuration» Import Item Types Defect 459091 Description: When you import an item type, the reminder, past due, and management escalation notices are not scheduled automatically. Workaround: After restoring an item type: 1. Navigate to Administration» Alerts» Scheduled Alerts. 2. Select Area = Assignment. 3. In the Alerts grid, navigate to each row where there is no check in the Scheduled column and click the Schedule button. 4. Use the Schedule dialog box to schedule the alert as a Recurring alert to run daily in the Scheduled Processes Queue at, for example, 2:00am (that is, a time when processing will not affect normal business processes). PM Compass» Administration» Process Server» Queue Manager Defect 524830 Description: When you delete a step in the workflow, the scheduled processes are not deleted from the Process Queue. Workaround: You can manually delete the scheduled process:

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 02 To delete the scheduled process from the Process Queue Manager, complete the following steps: 1. On the PM Compass navigation menu, click Administration» Process Server» Process Queue Manager. 2. In the Queue Processes grid, select the process that you want to delete. 3. Click Delete. PM Compass deletes the recurring process and the scheduled alert. 4. Click Save. EPM Security Administrator» System Settings Defect 538878 Description: The EPM SA displays the role OWNER_DELEGATE. This role should not be selected as a primary role for a user. If the Cobra access control lists this role on a user, it is ignored by PM Compass. Workaround: None.

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 01 PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 01 Released: September 10, 2015 Enhancements Validation Checks In previous versions, when you selected Change Management items from the Item List view and approved them, the approval stopped when one of the validations (for example, negative budget) was triggered. These validation checks are no longer performed when you approve from the Item List view. If you would like PM Compass to perform these checks, you should approve the item from the Item Detail view. The validations that are no longer performed from the Item List view are as follows: Negative undistributed budget or Negative management reserve (depending on the Allocate Management Reserve checkbox setting) Negative BAC for the work package For more information about the system checks, see System Checks When an Item is Approved in the PM Compass online help (Items» Change Management» Change Management Concepts). Software Issues Resolved Projects» Approve Progress Defect 540034 Description: The progress that was entered disappeared when the system encountered an error during the approval. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.ApplicationAncestors.Server,dll Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Projects» Enter Progress Defect 538477 Description: When a code on the control account was added to the Assignment Mapping Hierarchy grid, creating schedule progress items failed with "ORA-00904: "CAWP"."C1": invalid identifier." Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users entering schedule progress. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Defect 538473

PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 01 Description: The progress that the CAM entered disappeared from PM Compass if the Open Plan project was open when the progress was approved. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Statusing.Client.dll Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Defect 540105 Description: You could not edit the ETC in Enter Cost Progress when invalid data existed (orphaned timephase). An error displayed when you clicked Save, "The record you are trying to save has been updated by another user since you first selected it. In order to save your changes, you must re-select the record and make your changes again." Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users entering cost progress. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Items.Server.dll Defect 540051 Description: You could not edit the ETC in Enter Cost Progress when invalid data existed (missing timephase). A "Resource already exists" error displayed when you tried to add the resource. Customers Impacted: All PM Compass users entering cost progress. Workaround Before Fix: None. Files Updated: Deltek.PMCompass.Projects.Client.dll Deltek.PMCompass.Statusing.Client.dll Deltek.PMCompass.Projects.Server.dll Deltek.PMCompass.Queries.Common.dll Defect 538465 Description: When you added a resource in Enter Cost Progress, you got an error when you had a non-us date format. Workaround Before Fix: Login to Cobra as the PM Compass user and change the date format to US English. Additional Note: You can now set the date format to any selection in Cobra without impacting PM Compass. PM Compass 2.2 Cumulative Update 01 Defect 538476 Description: When you added a resource in Enter Cost Progress, you got an error when you had a non-us date format. Workaround Before Fix: Login to Cobra as the PM Compass user and change the date format to US English. Workaround: Orphaned records do not interfere with PM Compass functionality; however, you can remove them to prevent any minor impact on performance. You can identify orphans by comparing your item type workflow steps to the scheduled recurring processes in the Process Queue. To locate and delete orphaned records, complete the following steps: 1. After restoring an item type, click Administration» Process Server» Process Queue Manager. 2. Select the Recurring Queue Filter and clear all other filters then click Refresh Queue List to see a list of the recurring processes. 3. The folder contains xml files installed by the cumulative update. The highest version number reflects the last CU applied. Because the CUs are cumulative, you will also see the xml files for previous versions of CUs.
