The Universal Tablet Enclosure 13 Inch and Under is a modular assembly that can support most Tablets up to and including the 13 class. This flexibility is achieved by the use of inexpensive custom Screen Frames and Tablet Mounting Plates that adapt the opening of the enclosure to the touchable area of the tablet. The Tablet Mounting Plates include pairs of rubber covered positioning screws in each corner that align the tablet securely with the opening in the screen frame. Enclosure General Features 4-of-9 The Universal Tablet Enclosure 13 Inch and Under is a modular assembly that can support most Tablets up to and including the 13 class. This flexibility is achieved by the use of inexpensive custom Screen Frames and Tablet Mounting Plates that adapt the opening of the enclosure to the touchable area of the tablet. The Tablet Mounting Plates include pairs of rubber covered positioning screws in each corner that align the tablet securely with the opening in the screen frame. The enclosure can be attached directly to a wall or other smooth vertical surface with or without internal recessed power and data outlets. The enclosure can be attached to most PQS mounting systems; some examples are shown later in this document. The back of the enclosure includes 100mm VESA mounting standard with four 10-32 threaded screw inserts. Four (4) 10-32 X 3/8 Phillips Head screws are included. A heavy duty hinge allows the front panel to open without tools and allows full access to the interior without removing the enclosure from the wall or mounting system. A close fitting neoprene gasket surrounds the entire edge of the tablet to seal against the entry of dust of liquids, and meets NEMA Type 2 rating- Enclosures constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts; to provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt); and to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water (dripping and light splashing). Downward facing louvers are located along both sides to keep falling liquids and dust from entering while allowing for passive ventilation. The enclosure can be securely closed with three systems; the push button latch located at the center of the top of the enclosure, the factory installed, captive pop up thumbscrews or field installed security screws with special security wrench. Not included. Order Part Number 67118 Security Screw Kit. The push button latch can be used alone to secure the enclosure in the closed position without having to tighten the two thumbscrews.
5-of-9 Tablet Mounting Plates The tablet mounting plates are modular; so the tablet can be changed at any time to a different type or size with the addition of a different tablet mounting plate. Four pairs of alignment screws which are covered with soft rubber caps are installed on each corner of the mounting plate to center the tablet in the screen frame of the enclosure. The tablet mounting plates are secured to the front of the enclosure with four thumb nuts for easy installation and removal that requires no tools. The tablet mounting plates feature multiple tie points to secure a power supply and cabling with the included cable ties.
6-of-9 Tablet Screen Frames Included in this enclosure is a screen frame sized to fit the MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 4. The tablet screen frames are modular; so the tablet can be changed at any time to a different type or size with the addition of a different screen frame.
