Adding a Photo Gallery Page The Photo Gallery Above the Summary tab, in the list of Current Pages, click on the New Page button. Choose Photo Gallery from the Available Page Types. Give the page a name. Click Save. From the Summary tab, in the list of Current Pages, click on the Photo Gallery page to open it. Type in a Gallery Width. Default is 600. o Note: The width of the gallery can be adjusted in App Options until the first photo is uploaded. After that, the width cannot be altered. Click on Let s get started. Adding a Photo Gallery App From the Summary tab, in the list of Current Pages, click on the New Page button. Choose a page from the Available Page Types. o A Flex Editor page works well with the Photo Gallery App. Give the page a name. Click Save. On Current Pages, click Actions to the right of the new page and select Edit Page from the drop-down list. The page opens the Edit page. Technology Integration Center Page 1

In the Actions box, click Manage Apps & Layout. The page opens in Design mode. o You will notice that the new page app that was created first will appear in the layout. Click Add App. The Select an App list is displayed. Scroll down and click on the Photo Gallery App. Click on Create New. Give the app a name. o It is suggested that you give the app a descriptive name in case you need to find it later. Click Create. The Design mode is now available. Click I m Done to return to the Edit page. Note: Each app on the page will display the type of app it is. Technology Integration Center Page 2

Uploading photos to a Photo Gallery Note: Do not upload the desired photos to your Files and Folders. They will not be accessible to upload to your Photo Gallery. On Current Pages, click Actions to the right of the Photo Gallery page and select Edit Page from the dropdown list. The page opens in the Edit page. Click on the Photo Gallery App. The Before We Get Started window opens. The Gallery width can be changed in this window. The default width is 600 pixels. It should not be larger than this but can be smaller. Note: This width can be adjusted in App Options until photos have been uploaded into the current gallery. Click on Let s get started. The Photo Gallery App window opens. Click Upload Photos. Click Browse to find the photos that will be uploaded. Navigate to the location of the photo(s). Click on the desired photo(s) and then click on Open. o To select multiple photos that are in the same file, choose one of the following options: To select all photos in the folder, press Ctrl+A. To select photos that are in a group or list, click on the first photo then hold down the Shift key and click on the last photo. To select random photos, hold down the Ctrl key and click on each of the desired photos. Repeat the process to add additional photos from other locations. Click on Upload. Note: Depending on the number of pictures being uploaded this may take some time. Technology Integration Center Page 3

Sorting Photos Click the Sort Photos button. The Sort Photos window displays. To enlarge the photos for better viewing, click and slide the Zoom bar in the upper left of the window. Photos can be sorted alphabetically by clicking the Sort Alphabetically button. To sort manually, click and drag the photos to new locations. When photos are in the desired order, click Save. Editing a Photo To edit the image details, click on Edit to the right of the image. In this window, the following can be edited: o Photo Title: rename the photo o Caption: displays a caption when a viewer hovers over the photo o Web Address: the website will launch when a viewer clicks on the photo o Target: Open in Same Window (_self) is the default Click Save. Adjusting a Photo Click Adjust Photo next to the photo you would like to adjust. A new window will open. Select an option from the menu at the bottom of the image: o Adjustment: allows cropping, resizing, rotating, flipping and applying other options to the image o Effect: allows applying custom Pixlr effects to the image o Overlay: overlays visual effects such as Vignette and Retro Poster o Borders: choose from a selection of border styles o Stickers: allows the addition of a sticker from various groups of topics o Type: allows the addition of custom text to the images Click any option to see a preview. To keep the option, click Apply. If not, click Cancel. The option can be closed by clicking on the X in the upper right corner. Technology Integration Center Page 5

To undo an applied option, click the Undo arrow in the upper right corner. To exit the Adjust mode without saving, click Close located in the upper left corner of the window. To keep the changes applied, click Save located in the upper left corner of the window. This will permanently change the image in the Photo Gallery. Give the photo a name and click Save. Edit Photo Gallery Options In the opened Photo Gallery App, click Options in the upper right corner. Options include: o Change the App Name o Enter a description of the app o Show the app name on the page o Change the Gallery width Note: Gallery width cannot be changed once a photo has been uploaded into the gallery. o Select a Gallery Type. JavaScript is the default. o Select a Transition Delay This is the length of time the photo is show in the slide show 2-3 seconds is recommended o Select a Fade Style This is the transition between photos o Add Background Audio if desired It must be a MP3 file Choose if the audio will be looped by checking the box If any options have been changed, click Save. Publishing a Photo Gallery To publish the gallery after all changes have been made, click Publish. Editing a Published Photo Gallery On the Summary page, click on the Photo Gallery to be edited. Click on the Photo Gallery App. Click on one of the following to make a change: o Upload Photos to add new photos o Edit o Adjust Photo o Delete o Options After the changes have been made, click on Publish to see the changes. Deleting a Photo Gallery Click on the Actions button next to the Photo Gallery page to be deleted. Click on Delete. Or, click on Photo Gallery in the Tools tab or in the Common Tools pane. Click on Photo Gallery App in the first column. Click the name of the Photo Gallery App to be deleted in the second column. Click on the More button. Click Delete App. Click Yes. Or, to delete the Photo Gallery App, click on the name of the Photo Gallery page to open the Edit page. In the Actions box, click Manage Apps & Layout. Click the X in the upper right corner of the desired Photo Gallery App. Click I m Done. Technology Integration Center Page 7
