Do not insert a memory card into both slots at the same time. 2

Installation The driver is built into Windows and Mac OS, no driver installation is needed. Simply plug the reader/writer into an available USB port and the driver will install automatically. Inserting Memory Cards Insert memory cards with the top label facing up and gold pins facing down, except for Micro SD & T-Flash memory cards which should be inserted with the top label facing down and the gold pins facing up. Important: The SD/Mini SD/MMC slot & Micro SD/T- Flash slot share the same resources and can not be used at the same time. Do not insert memory cards into both slots at the same time. Accessing Memory Cards Windows When the reader/writer is successfully installed, two Removable Disk icons will appear in My Computer. To access the memory card, double click the disk icon. Mac After a memory card is inserted into the reader/writer, a disk icon will appear on the desktop. A disk icon will appear for each occupied memory slot. To access the memory card(s), double click the appropriate disk icon. 3

Removing Memory Cards Windows Do not remove memory cards while they are being accessed, otherwise, memory cards can be removed at any time. Mac Drag the memory card's drive icon into the Trashcan. Wait for the icon to disappear from the desktop, then remove the memory card from the reader/writer. Unplugging the Reader/Writer Please follow the steps below to safely remove the USB 2.0 Mini Card Reader from the computer. Windows 2000 1. Click the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon located in the taskbar by the system clock. 2. Click Stop USB Mass Storage Device.... 3. At the Safe To Remove Hardware box, click OK. The reader/writer can now be removed. Windows XP /Server 2003 / Vista 1. Click the Safely Remove Hardware icon located in the taskbar by the system clock. 2. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device... 3. When the Safe To Remove Hardware box pops up, the reader/writer can now be removed. 4

Mac OS X 1. Drag the memory card's drive icon into the Trashcan. Wait for the icon to disappear from the desktop. 2. The reader/writer can now be removed. 5
