A Guide on How to use the Canon Power Shot A 95 Digital Camera Preparing the Camera: 1. Open the battery cover and insert the batteries in the correct position. NEVER THROW THE BATTERIES AWAY. THEY ARE RECHARGABLE. 3. Open the CF card slot cover 4. Insert the CF card with its label facing up, and close the cover once it has been completely inserted. Your camera is now ready to be used.
How to take pictures: 1. Turn the power on and check that the camera is in Shooting mode: 2. Turn the shooting mode dial to AUTO mode for the camera to automatically select the settings or choose one of the other shooting modes as listed on the next page. 3. Open the LCD monitor if desired. 4. Aim the camera at the subject you wish to shoot and adjust the zoom to achieve your desired picture. (see diagram on next page) 5. Viewing and deleting your pictures: 1. To view your pictures slide the mode switch to playback and scroll by using the left and right button. (see diagram 3 below) 2. To delete a picture, use the left or right button to select the picture you want to erase and press the trashcan button. (see diagram4 below) 3. To delete all of your pictures, with the LCD monitor open, hit MENU then scroll down to Erase all hit SET and the right button to OK. All of the images stored on the camera will be erased.
Preparing to Download Images to a Computer: 1. Connect the supplied interface cable (gray cable pictured below) to the computer s USB port and the camera s DIGITAL terminal. You will need to open the DIGITAL terminal cover. USB CABLE Digital terminal 2. Securely insert the cable with the facing up into the Digital terminal as well as the USB port on the computer. 3. Once you have securely inserted the cable to both the camera and the computer slide the mode switch on the camera to playback and press the ON/OFF button to turn the camera on. Downloading Images to a Computer: 1. Once your camera and computer are connected they will be ready to communicate with each other. 2. You will see a Camera Window- Download Image(s) as shown below.
Choose Start Image Download to see your current pictures. You will see a downloading screen Once all of the images have been downloaded the ZoomBrowser EX will open
You may choose to view and modify your pictures once you are in ZoomBrowser EX. You now have many options to choose from. You may also print your images by choosing File then print. To delete images click on the image and then the trashcan icon on the top bar.
How to use the camera in movie mode: 1. Turn the Shooting mode dial to. The LCD monitor turns on and displays maximum recording time in seconds. You have 3 minutes in the 320 or 160 resolution settings. You have 30 seconds in the 640 setting. You can change your resolution by pushing the FUNC. Button and scrolling down to the resolution settings. Then use your right key to choose your desired resolution. Hit FUNC. again when you are done changing your settings. 2. To begin recording your movie, press the shutter button all the way. During recording a red circle appears in the upper right hand corner of the LCD monitor. 3. Press the shutter button all the way to stop recording the movie. 4. You can then switch to playback mode and view your movie. Press SET and then press SET again to play. You can also edit your movie by using the right key to scroll over to the. 5. To download and play your movie on your computer follow the same instructions for downloading pictures.
