It is based on new optical navigation technology, which measures changes in position by optically acquiring sequential surface images (frames) and mathematically determining the direction and magnitude of movement. The mouse sensor is in a -pin optical package. The current X and Y information are available in registers accessed via a serial port. The user can modify released DSP configuration and read motion data from these registers. Some registers not being listed are reserved not allowed to be modified..
