2 Confirm Build No. 2.1.1 Launch Data Analysis Software. 2.1.2 Open help-about dialog box by [Help] [About] 2.1.3 If you can see the version, G7201B Version B.01.03 Build 393.28 Patch 7, then the patch is installed correctly. 3 Re-Configuring LC *1 *1 Required when instrument is integrated with LC and previous software is B.01.03 Patch4 or older. If the Patch 7 has been overwritten on Patch 5 or newer, the operations below are not required. 3.1 Open instrument control window of MassHunter. 3.2 Set sample introduction type "Peripump" 3.3 Set sample introduction type "LC1200" and establish connection with LC. 4 Updating system parameter *2 *2 Required when instrument type is 8800 and previous software is B.01.03 Patch4 or older. If the Patch 7 has been overwritten on Patch 5 or newer, the operation s below are not required. 4.1 Save the script file "Update Inside-Inlet_Temp_Diff for Duct stop.icpms.script" to the following directory C:\Agilent\ICPMH\script\Acq (or D:\Agilent\ICPMH\script\Acq). The script file can be downloaded from the same location as the Patch 7. 4.2 Open the Instrument Control window of MassHunter. Confirm instrument is online. If not, make it online. Software will ask for uploading firmware. Then follow the instruction on the screen and let the MassHunter update the firmware. 4.3 If the status of the instrument is not shutdown mode, change the status to shutdown mode via >Hardware pane>main frame>right click >Vacuum Off. 4.4 Close and re-open ICP-MS Instrument Control. 4.5 On the Welcome Screen, click the Close button. NOTE: On the Welcome screen, do not click any button other than the Close button (you may disregard this if the Welcome Screen is not displayed). NOTE: From step 1.5 (restarting MassHunter) through step 1.11 (executing the script), users must not move to Hardware Task or Startup. Page 6 of 11
4.6 Click system menu (Top left icon) -> Show/Hide Script menu to show Script menu. Page 7 of 11
4.7 Confirm "Script menu" is displayed on main menu bar. Then Select "Script" -> "Run script" and run a script "Update Inside-Inlet Temp Diff for Duct stop.icpms.script". 4.8 Script will ask you the Introduction PCA type of the instrument. Then select "Old type" or "New Type". If the PCA P/N is G3280-65110 (manufacturing P/N G3280-61110 printed on PCA), it is old type, other than that, it is new type. The P/N is printed on the PCA, refer to section 4.9 following, for further information on the PCA part numbers and how to check. If the system parameter update procedure is done by an ICP-MS customer, the recommended procedure is to ask the Agilent FSE who is in charge of the customer's account for the P/N. Page 8 of 11
4.9 Loosen the 2 screws and remove the Left Side Access panel to view the introduction PCA. The part number is usually printed in the top right of the PCA. Page 9 of 11
