Using standard management methodologies (PMBOK), successful project process models require distinct components: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Completion. These discrete criteria are included into the phases of the relocation project and a brief outline would include the following three distinct phases:

Phase I Review design against customer requirement 1) Physical Site audit and Corporate standards review Phase II Design Infrastructure: Page 24 1) Select suppliers and place orders 2) Logistics planning 3) Implementation 4) Functionality Testing Phase III Relocation: 1) Migration services 2) Support services 3) Documentation Handover NTT offers unrivalled levels design expertise in areas such as voice and data network design that includes the latest digital integrated communications systems. We will be able to offer this depth of specialist knowledge in this field or provide the technical skills to implement the solution. NTT ensures that any solution can migrate to an effective production system as our technical staffs also have extensive operational experience managing technical support departments within financial institutions. Customer can rest assured that critical transaction processing or secure payments system migrations are handled by skilled staff that have knowledge in these areas and understand not only the technology but also the security and operational importance of these applications of the customers office. The above process model detailed 'control' as the fourth discipline and we can ensure that any proposed solution can be tracked both financially and also for unauthorized changes avoiding risks to the success of the project such as the common 'feature creep' phenomena. To ensure that the project runs both to schedule and budget NTT plans to use a standardized reporting and management model. This management model ensures that effective change control, fault tracing, fiscal reporting, and progress reviews are all directed to the customer at regular intervals avoiding both confusion and reducing the risk of last minute unexpected changes to the schedule

The cabling system is part of the information network that allows communication of information either internally, i.e. within a building through LAN, or externally, i.e. between cities for over a wide area (WAN). The various types of information that can be communicated include computer data, voice, video and photographic images. (1) Provision of Installation Services for Structured Cabling Systems The following are business activities NTT provides: Consultation At the initial stage, a project team is set up to provide consultation and design services. We study and understand our customers' needs for the IT or telecommunications network. Taking into consideration our customers requirements and budget constraints, we advise and recommend cabling solutions which provide our customers with an optimum business communications system in terms of speed, productivity and cost effectiveness. In particular, the solutions should also be modular and upgradable in future. Site Survey We participate in site walks to evaluate new or existing facilities and to identify and understand the site environment. During such site surveys, measurements are taken and the layout, as provided by our customers, is confirmed. We then hold a question and answer session with our

Design customer's representative to address any doubts or queries that either party may have. Based on the information from the consultation and site survey, we begin to design the structured cabling system. A schematic design for the entire infrastructure will indicate the routes of the cable pathways and their sizes, the location of the telecommunication service room, backbone route and size, distribution point layout and labeling convention. Our design will take into account the following considerations: Page 27 - customer's specifications and preferences - customer's budget - site considerations - compliance with international and local standards and specifications - competitive prices and quality products - cost-effectiveness - meeting current and future network and telecommunication performances Implementation The implementation program begins after our customers have confirmed the design and our scope of work. A project manager will then monitor the progress to ensure timely completion and hand-over of the project deliverables. The project manager also co-ordinates the implementation of the project with the customer and other trade suppliers, interior designers, the main contractor as well as our installation team to meet the requirements of the project. Our installation team builds the cable pathway infrastructure, installs the cables and fixes the cable accessories. As the project is being implemented, our project manager ensures that the installation is done according to customers specifications, installation guidelines and procedures. Testing, Commissioning and Cut-over After installing the cables and accessories, a comprehensive test will be conducted using the latest and most relevant testing equipment for every cable that has been installed. All test results are documented in both soft and hard copies and analysed according to international standards such as the TIA/EIA or ISO standards on the testing procedure for the structured cabling system. Once this is completed, our project engineers will assist our customers in the commissioning of the cable infrastructure system. The commissioning includes cut-over activities such as moving of equipment, cross-connecting and patching activities. This is to ensure that the IT network and telecommunication points are in working order and that there is a seamless and trouble-free transition period for the operation of our customers' IT or telecommunications network.

Handover and Documentation The commissioning period signifies our signing-off date for the completion and handover of the project. Once the on-site activity is completed, our project engineers begin the task of preparing the documentation for the project. Our documentation includes: - An executive summary of the cabling system installed, stating what it currently supports and what it will support in the future - general diagrams of the cable plant - A detailed schematic diagram of the entire cable plant - Connectivity schematic - Patching details - A detailed layout of distribution points including backbone and cable pathways routing. - A comprehensive test report Page 28 The cabling solutions we provide are based on TIA/EIA, ISO and local standards and specifications that adhere to prevailing installation guidelines, procedures and recommendations for the installation of the structured cabling systems.
