1. Introduction VMP30A Omni-MPlayer is a whole new multimedia projection system with a handy modern feel to its modeling and convenient to carry along everywhere. Not only can it enlarge your existing televisions or monitors into a large dimension digital photo frame, it too can be complemented as a music player. You only need to insert the memory card, USB flash drive of your digital camera/mobile phone into the built-in card reader and turn on the power, to be able to relax and enjoy the pleasures of digital viewing. This projection system is equipped with HDMI multimedia connector interface supporting high definition signals of 720P 1080I, and widely suitable for use in monitors of any size. Simple to Operate No need to purchase additional computers, digital photo frames or other equipment, you only need to connect Omni-MPlayer to your television set or monitor to be able to easily display photos and play music. Wide Range of Use Applicable for use with business briefings, advertisement installations, wedding dinners, seminars, etc., Omni-MPlayer can satisfy your needs in various aspects. Product Functions: 1. Automatically broadcast slide show or movie from the multimedia files within the memory card upon switching on the projection system. 2. Turn the remote controller upside-down. 2. Pull out the battery tray. 3. Replace/Install a CR2025 Lithium button battery. 4. Push the battery tray back. * Please remove the transparent plastic battery cover when you use the remote controller for the first time. 3

3. VMP30A Installation Select a connector that suits your display. We recommend you to use the HDMI for best displaying result if your display is capable for HDMI connection. Otherwise, you can use Component video(ypbpr), Composite video(a/v) or VGA(D-Sub) connector. To ensure that your display functionally connected, please check the following items after the connection: 1. Switch your display s input source to the one you connect the VMP30A with. 2. Turn the VMP30A on without inserting any memory card and you will see a message No Device Present on the screen(please insert your memory card now). If there was no screen or the screen not correctly showed, please keep pressing the button on the remote controller every 3 seconds to switch to the correct output. 4. VMP30A OPERATION GUIDE To start using VMP30A for photo/video playback, you have to check the 4 items below: 1. Make sure the power of your display is ON. 2. Insert your memory card/flash disk with photos/videos into VMP30A. 3. Turn VMP30A s power ON. 4. Switch your display to the correct source. 4.1 Auto-Start The VMP30A will automatically start playing the photos/videos/music on startup unless: 1. You did not select the correct output for your VMP30A. 2. No memory card/flash disk inserted You will see No Device Present shown on the bottom-right of the screen. 3. No playable file in your inserted memory card/flash disk You will also see No Device Present shown on the bottom-right of the screen. 4. There are more than 1 storage device inserted The VMP30A will prompt a device selection screen for you to select the correct device. 5. You disabled the Auto-Start feature in setup. 4.1-1 Auto-Start Feature Setting Press to enter the setup menu. You will find the AUTO START setting under [SETUP>PREFERENCES]. There will be 4 options OFF/PHOTO+MUSIC/VIDEO/ALL and you can select one of them on your demand. OFF PHOTO+MUSIC VIDEO ALL Disable the AUTO-START feature. Plays photos with background music on startup repeatedly. Plays video files on startup repeatedly. Plays all contents in your memory card by alphabetical sequence on startup repeatedly. 8

4.1-2 Remote Controller functions on AUTO-Start PHOTO+MUSIC VIDEO/ALL Press for previous photo or for next. You can also press once to stop the photo slideshow/twice to stop them both/thrice to restart them both. You can bring up the Button Row on the bottom of the screen by pressing. You can press either / or any Navigation key to stop the video and return to the Main Menu. Please note that are disabled under modes listed above. 9

4.2 Main Menu You can press anytime to return to the Main Menu. You can navigate by and press to select the mode: Photo To browse your photos. Chapter 4.3 Music To play your music files. Chapter 4.4 Video To play your video files. Chapter 4.5 File To manage your files. Chapter 4.6 Setup To setup various features of VMP30A Chapter 4.7 Device To select the memory card if you inserted more than 1 card. Chapter 4.8 10

4.3 Photo Mode The screen will show 12 thumbnails of your photos and you can select them by Navigation keys. Press to enlarge the selected photo to full-screen. The Hint Row will indicate how to access the action buttons on the Button Row. For example: When you select the first photo(1) on the top-left corner, you will see on the Hint Row. That means you can access the action buttons now by pressing. Please note that if you select the last photo on the bottom-right corner, the Hint Row will show. That means you have to press to access the action buttons instead of pressing. Action Buttons Next Page/File Music+Photo Slide Show Return to Previous Menu. Previous Page/File Repeat Mode Playing Modes Browse all photos once. Browse all photos repeatedly. 11

4.3-1 Photo Playing Functions When playing photos in full-screen: Press Press Press Press Press to rotate the photo in 90 clockwise. to play next photo. to play previous photo. to pause/play. to bring out the Button Row and Hint Row as below: Action Buttons Next Page/File Play/Pause Zoom Mode Return to Previous Menu. Previous Page/File Rotation Information On/Off When you select the Zoom function, you will see Press after you select to switch the zooming rate between 1.5X/2X/3X. You can press and Navigation keys to move the zoomed photo. Press again to leave. 12

4.4 Music Mode You can select the song by pressing and access the action buttons by pressing. The selected playing mode will be shown on the Information Row as below: 1 Play all music once. Play selected music repeatedly. Play all music repeatedly. Play all music randomly. You can also switch between different EQ modes by selecting and press. Press to bring out the EQ screen and you can switch between Standard/Classic/Jazz/Rock/ Pop/Folk/Dance by. To leave the EQ screen, please press, select and press. 13

4.5 Video Mode You can select the video by pressing and access the action buttons by pressing. 4.6-1 Copying a file For example: You have CF card and SD card both inserted. Now you want to copy the file Photo001.JPG from the SD card to the CF card. First, you have to select DEVICE at the Main Menu and you will see the screen below. Select the CF/Microdrive and press. Enter the FILE Mode, press, select and press 17

Select Photo001.JPG, press, select and press to start copying. You will see a message COPY DONE when finished. 19

4.6-2 Deleting a file 1. Press to select the file you want to delete, press for action buttons. 2. Press to select and press. 3. The screen will prompt you for confirmation, select YES to delete the file or NO to cancel. 4.6-3 Note 1. The copy feature will only be available when you insert 2 memory cards at the same time. 2. The destination memory card cannot be empty. It must have at least 1 file for VMP30A to locate. 3. The copy process will fail if the files are duplicated. 20

Use to select the options. 3. Press for detailed options. 4.7-1 Note 1. When you use the HDMI connection, the VIDEO SETUP menu would be disabled. However, you could manipulate through HDMI SETUP menu. 2. Please select 1080i for the optimal output when you use the HDMI interface.(default is 480P). 3. You can restore settings to their default values by [PREFERENCES>SETTING>DEFAULT]. 21

4.8 Device Mode If you have more than 1 memory card inserted, you can make your choice in this mode by pressing and press. 24

5. Trouble shooting Problem The remote controller is not usable No screen No sound Cannot insert the memory card Cannot read the file Possible reasons / Solutions 1. The Lithium battery of your remote controller is not installed properly. 2. The Lithium battery is out of electricity. 3. The plastic cover of the battery is not removed. 1. The connection between VMP30A and your display is not installed properly. 2. You did not select the correct output for your VMP30A. 3. You did not select the correct input source for your display. 4. Wrong TV channel selection. 1. The stereo audio cable is not connected. 2. The volume of VMP30A or your display is too low. 3. The VMP30A or your display is muted. 1. Wrong side or wrong direction. 2. Your memory card type is not supported. 1. Your file type is not supported. FAQ Qustions What types of memory cards does VMP30A supports? Does VMP30A have built-in memory? Answers VMP30A supports CF I/CF II, SD, MS, MS Pro, XD, SM, MMC, USB flash disk and Microdrive No, VMP30A does not have built-in memory but it supports file copy/delete real-time between memory card slots. 25

6. Limited Warranty 1. The limited warranty extends only to the original end-user purchaser and holder of this warranty and is not transferable or assignable to any subsequent purchaser. 2. You must provide proof of purchase of the Product by a dated itemized receipt to be eligible for this limited warranty. 3. The limited warranty is ONLY applicable in the country or territory where the product was purchased from an authorized retailer. 4. The limited warranty for the Product extends for (12) months from the date of your purchase (Warranty Period). The warranty period will be extended by each whole day that the Product is out of your possession for repair under this warranty. 5. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Product. We are not under any obligation to support the Product for all operating environments, including but not limited to, interoperability with all current and/or future versions of software or hardware. 6. The limited warranty does not apply to: (A) Damage caused by normal wear and tear, abnormal use or conditions, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, improper handling or storage, exposure to moisture, unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs, improper installation, improper use of any electrical source, undue physical or electrical stress, operator error, non-compliance with instructions or other acts which are not the fault of us, including damage or loss during shipment.
