Renovo Software, Inc. is exclusively focused on the design, development, and support of software solutions which schedule, automate and manage video networks. Renovo Software s Video Scheduler 2.0 is a powerful video network management solution used by service providers, corporations, state and regional networks to increase usability, reliability and manageability. Applications for Renovo s Video Scheduler 2.0 include: Distance Learning Video Conferencing Courtroom Arraignment Tele-Justice Tele-Medicine Tele-Presence Solution Overview Renovo Video Scheduler 2.0 has three main components which create a comprehensive video network management solution; Web scheduling, conference automation and administration. Renovo s web scheduler allows end-users to quickly schedule on demand or future videoconferences through a secure and intuitive web based scheduling system. Video Scheduler checks to ensure the resources are available for the requested conference and then reserves them to eliminate future conflicts. At the scheduled time, whether on-demand or in the future the conference automation module fully automates the conference set-up and tear-down without user interaction. Each user is assigned a user name and password with associated privileges and access rights. The solution enables networks to partition customers, user groups and room groups, so each organization will see and have access only to their assigned sites and resources. Network managers use Renovo Video Scheduler to manage video communications on public or shared networks while maintaining the privacy and security of a dedicated network. Renovo Software s administration tools enable the configuration of organizational policies with unlimited flexibility for partitioning user groups and video resources. Renovo Video Scheduler 2.0 Web Scheduling Renovo Software s Video Scheduler enables users to access scheduling over the Internet or an intranet from a standard web browser from a PC or Macintosh. The web interface utilizes a username and password login which provides security against unauthorized use. Username, password authentication Unlimited additional Information fields User Levels are configurable based on Policies & Privileges Room Approval & Room Scheduling are based on Access/Approval -- Rights which can be assigned to a User or User Group Web Based Conference Maintenance (e.g. add/drop rooms, check device & conference status etc.) Easily Schedules various conference types: Broadcast Point to point Multipoint H.323 Full Mesh 1 Encoder Full Mesh 2 Encoder Full Mesh Full Mesh Broadcast Client support includes standards based browsers such as: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape My Calendar (Figure 1) The My Calendar page is the Renovo Video Scheduler 2.0 home page. The calendar contains date, time, favorite room and conference information that are configurable to meet individual needs. Identify when a favorite room is scheduled to be in a conference. View conference status. Four calendar types are available on the My Calendar page: Daily by room Daily by conference Weekly Monthly The conference status is color coded on the daily and weekly calendar. To display the conference summary information, simply stop the cursor over the desired conference. My Calendar page conveniently prints daily schedules so they may be posted outside video or conference rooms. Users may also click on a specific reservation from the Calendar View to obtain detailed information. (Figure 1) WEB SCHEDULING KEY FEATURES: Easy to use Web Scheduling Ad-hoc/On-demand scheduling Single, Multiple or Recurring Future Reservations Duration Scheduling (e.g. Semester) Time Clock Scheduling (e.g.bell Schedules) MCU Scheduling (Including Cascaded Menu s) Custom Route Scheduling (e.g. Gateways) Calendar View E-mail Notification User Defined Preferences (e.g. am/pm vs. military, calendar views, time zones etc.) Ability to edit a single conference or an entire reservation Room & Endpoint approval process Flexible & easy to use Reports (HTML, PDF, XML) 1

Unlimited Additional Information Fields (Figure 3) Authorized users have ability to create and customize their own information fields Fields may be: text, date, numerical value, single select drop down or multi select drop down Fields are required or optional (user defined) Fields are used to track specific information that is pertinent to networks individual (Figure 2) Clearing House or Event Posting (Figure 2) Web based system allowing users to post event offerings online. Thus getting users that offer events together with users that have a need for an event or course. Allows restrictions to be defined (ie. number of rooms, number of participants, last day to sign up, which user groups have access.) Allows users to create a waiting list to determine demand for a particular subject Users can upload a file such as a course syllabus or URL link. System automatically manages the video sessions - no further labor involved to make video conference occur. (Figure 4) Ad Hoc Conference (Figure 4) Users may need to schedule a video conference to begin immediately without any advance notice. Using the Ad Hoc Conference feature, simply set ad hoc conference duration and select the participant rooms. New Reservation (Figure 5) Video Scheduler is a simple and intuitive web application for creating (Figure 5) (Figure 3) a reservation for one or more future videoconferences. Users simply select the time, dates and rooms required for a conference. The scheduled requests are submitted and automatically processed to ensure resource availability. Once the scheduled request is saved in the system, the conference will automatically launch the video conference at the scheduled time and date. 2

New Reservation - Custom Route (Figure 7) Video Scheduler has the unique ability to efficiently handle the scheduling of networks which require gateways or special conference types. Authorized schedulers are able to select individual ports within a gateway and create a custom route. Video Scheduler s flexibility to handle video streams at a port level promotes efficient utilization of gateways and interoperability amongst disparate technologies. Your Preferences Individual users have some control over what information is displayed by Renovo Video Scheduler 2.0 and how that information is displayed. Favorite rooms Time zone Conference settings Personal contacts Time or Class periods Time settings Calendar settings Time or Class Periods (Figure 8) (Figure 8) Time periods significantly decrease the time it takes to create a reservation. As many as 100 to-the-minute class periods, can be set up and may used by a single user or by all users in a user group. Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) Reservation (Figure 6) (Figure 6) Video Scheduler simplifies the MCU scheduling process by utilizing the same easy to use web interface. Advanced users possessing the necessary privileges, will have access to advanced parameters and templates to quickly establish and schedule off network endpoints. Authorized users may quickly see the MCU Capacity for each MCU. The capacity information is real time and displays capacity available, what is used and what will be required for the conference. Reports (Figures 9, 10 & 11) Through the web interface, authorized users can generate reports on information stored in the database. Reports can be viewed on screen, printed or exported as a PDF, HTML or Excel file. Reports are available for reservations, usage, billing data, system features and diagnostics. The following are examples of the reports available: Enrollment by Reservation Enrollment by Room Group Enrollment Summary Grid Report Network Usage Program Schedule by Date Gateway Usage Reservation History Program Schedule by Region Program Schedule by Room Room Usage Reservation Conflict Report Reservation Detail Conference Statistics Conference Enrollment Statistics MCU Capacity Report (Figure 7) (Figure 9) 3

Conference Automation (Call Processing) Renovo Software s Conference Automation is a manufacturer and technology neutral component that operates in real-time to automate scheduled video conferences. Conference Automation provisions and automates call control for video network devices by starting and stopping the scheduled and ad-hoc videoconferences with zero interaction from users.
