PROFESSIONAL VOICE RECORDER SKU: VR4GBPRO THANK YOU FOR PURCHASING THE VOICE RECORDER PRO Please read this manual before operating the professional voice recorder and keep it handy. The VR4GBPro is a professional grade telephone and cell phone voice recording device. Cell phone recording is easy via the Bluetooth sync capabilities. This device even includes dual microphones and noise reduction for crisp and clear audio recording. Plug into a wall jack and pick the recording quality mode that suits the situation. Set it to automatically answer, and you can go about your day or listen in with the included earphones. Manage the trade-off between quality and recording time when choosing between extra high quality (SHQ), high quality (HQ), standard quality (SP), and long play (LP). The long play mode can store up to 283 hours (a bit longer than 11 days) on the 4GB internal storage. Battery life lasts up to 15 hours. OPERATING THE VOICE RECORDER PRO IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4 6 hours before using. 1. Use the forward and backward button to cycle through the different menus HOW TO CHARGE THE VOICE RECORDER PRO Using the AC Adapter 1. Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the recorder 2. Plug the USB cable into the AC adapter 3. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet The power indicator will blink while charging The power indicator will stop blinking when fully charged Using Your PC 1. Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the recorder 2. Plug the USB cable into the USB jack on your PC The power indicator will blink while charging The power indicator will stop blinking when fully charged HOW TO TURN ON THE VOICE RECORDER PRO 1. Slide the power switch into the ON position The screen will light up and cycle through starting, welcome, and initializing If there is no activity for 2 minutes, the recorder will go to sleep o Push the Play/Stop button to wake the recorder up again HOW TO TURN OFF THE VOICE RECORDER PRO 1. Slide the power switch into the OFF position The screen will darken and turn off HOW TO CYCLE THROUGH THE MENU After turning on the voice recorder pro, the device will enter into the main menu HOW TO SET THE TIME AND DATE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the System Time screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection 3. Use the forward and backward button to select the information you want to adjust The date is Year-Month-Day The time is military format

4. Use the volume up and down buttons to change the information 5. Press the Mode button to return to the main menu HOW TO ADJUST THE SETTINGS 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the System Time screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection Backlight The backlight will turn off automatically according to this setting 1. Press the Mode button to select backlight 2. Use the forward and backward buttons to choose between 0 60 seconds (5-second intervals) 3. Push the Mode button to confirm and go back to Setting Mode Lanuage 1. Use the backward button to highlight language 2. Press the Mode button to select lanuage 3. Use the forward and backward button to choose your language (English is the default) 4. Push the Mode button to confirm and go back to Setting Mode Power Off The recorder will power down automatically according to this setting 1. Use the backward button to highlight power off 2. Press the Mode button to select power off 3. Use the forward and backward button to choose between 0 60 minutes 4. Push the Mode button to confirm and go back to Setting Mode Auto Record 1. Use the backward button to highlight auto record 2. Press the Mode button to select auto record 3. Press the Mode button to turn auto record on or off 4. Use the backward button to highlight Record Cycle 5. Press the Mode button to select Record Cycle Use the Mode button to select One Time o Use the backward and forward buttons to adjust the month o Use the volume up and down button to adjust the day o Press the Mode button to confirm Or Use the backward button to highlight Every day Use the Mode button to select Every day Or Use the backward button to highlight Weekly Use the Mode button to select Weekly o Use the forward and backward buttons to choose the day of the week o Press the Mode button to confirm 6. Press the Play/Stop button to go back to Auto Record 7. Use the backward button to highlight Record Time 8. Press the Mode button to select Record Time Use the forward and backward button to select the information you want to adjust Use the volume up and down buttons to adjust the time information Press the Mode button to confirm and return to the menu HELPFUL TIP: The device will automatically record during the time and date you set up using Record Cycle and Record Time

HOW TO USE RECORD MODE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the Record Mode screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection Number of files Total files Serial number of the file Record mode Total time of files Record type Time of current file One button noise reduction 1. Slide the Noise Reduction switch upward An NR will appear to the left of the battery life icon One button recording 1. Push the record button to start 2. Push the record button to stop recording and save the file A new file will be automatically created after 3 hours Pause the recording 1. Push the Play / Stop button to start recording again Monitor the recording 1. Pause the recording 2. Insert the earphones 3. Press the volume up and down button to adjust the volume to your needs 4. Select the folder in which you want to store the files (A C) HOW TO RECORD TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS 1. Plug the Stereo plug into the Earphone Jack on the recorder

2. Plug the Stereo plug into the port on the back of the Jack Adapter 3. Plug the Modular Connector into the Jack Adapter 4. Plug the Modular Connector into the phone line 5. Select the necessary recording type on the recorder 6. Push the Record button HOW TO USE BLUETOOTH MODE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the Bluetooth Mode screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection Number of files Total files Total time of files Time of current file Battery life Folder When you select Bluetooth (On), the Bluetooth symbol appears on the front screen Conncect the recorder to your phone 1. Turn on the Bluetooth on the recorder 2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone Your phone will search for Bluetooth devices The voice recorder pro will show up as Recorder Connect with the Recorder If a password in required, type in 0000 Mobile phone answering and redialing 1. Push the Mobile Phone button on the recroder to answer your phone when it rings 2. Push and hold the Mobile Phone button on the recorder for about 5 seconds to call back the last person with whom you spoke You can listen with the earphones during this time Serial number of the file Record mode Record type Record mobile phone conversations 1. Push the Record button to start recording the conversation 2. Push the Play / Stop button to pause and restart the recording if desired 3. Push the Record button to stop and save the recording All Bluetooth recordings are automatically saved to the D folder Bluetooth on or off 1. Push the Mode button 2. Select Bluetooth set 3. Select Bluetooth on, off, or reset

HOW TO USE VOICE MODE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the Bluetooth Mode screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection Number of files Total files Serial number of the file Total time of files Time of current file Battery life Folder Repeat set up 1. Push the Record button while playing to create point A 2. Push the Record button while playing to create point B The recorder will repeat the section of the file between point A and point B The repeat will cancel after playing three times 3. Push the Mode or Play / Stop button to cancel the repeat Select a file 1. Push the Mode button 2. Select Local folder 3. Scroll through and select the file to which you want to listen 4. Push the Play / Stop button to play the file Delete a file 1. Push the Mode button 2. Select Delete file 3. Use the backward and forward buttons to select either Yes or No 4. Push the Play / Stop button to stop the files Fast forward or rewind 1. Push and hold the forward button to fast forward while playing 2. Push and hold the backward button to rewind while playing 3. RETRIEVE THE FILES TO YOUR PC 1. Plug the device into your PC using the USB cable 2. Locate Removable Disk inside the (My) Computer folder AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open folder to view files 5. Open the A C or D folder depending on whether your recordings were Bluetooth or not 6. Double click the file you want to view VLC Player is recommended for watching videos Or Go to Start > Computer > Removable Disk 3. Open the Removable Disk drive 4. Open the RECORD folder

TROUBLESHOOTING THE DEVICE WON T TURN ON Charge the device for at least 4 hours before the first use. Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the device and into the power source. THE DEVICE ISN T CHARGING Replace the charging cable. If you are charging via a wall power source, you may need to charge via your PC. The AC adapter might be bad. THE DEVICE HAS CRASHED You need to reset the device. MY COMPUTER DOESN T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE Unplug the device from your PC and reboot the device. Unplug the device from your PC and reboot your PC. Try using a different USB slot on your PC. Replace the USB cable. THE SOUND OR VIDEO IS UNCLEAR The device needs charging.
