1. Overview Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch 8600 My Instant Communicator Mobile for iphone (My IC Mobile for iphone) is an Apple iphone application using the latest technologies and providing a full set of IPbased unified communication services. The My IC Mobile for iphone is the extension of your company on your mobile, taking advantage of the powerful capability of the new Call Server (IP PBX) Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Rich Communication Edition (OmniPCX Office RCE) dedicated to small and mid-size enterprises. The OmniPCX Office RCE embeds a full set of new mobility capabilities reachable from your mobile thanks to the My IC Mobile for iphone application, without any additional server. These services allow the user to tailor, control, and manage calls, define the routing options, and access voicemails as well as communication history. It improves company productivity by increasing users interactions with internal users and external contacts. Part of My IC family, My IC Mobile for iphone provides the user with highly useful communication services while on the move, keeping in touch with the company ecosystem and ensuring business continuity, anytime, anywhere. 2. Benefits The My IC Mobile for iphone is a very easy to use application. It takes advantages of the iphone s powerful, user friendly experience. It is available from the Apple Store and thus is very easy to download and install. My IC Mobile for iphone - your company at your fingertips enables you to : Stay connected to the company and increase productivity Ensure availability and business continuity Provide a unique number for both mobile and fixed devices (one number) Reduce mobile communication costs by using company resources to place calls All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 3

3. Connectivity Data 3G or WIFI OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server My IC Mobile for iphone is connected to the company infrastructure using secure HTTP access. When the user is outside the company, the connection is made via the 3G/Edge data channel. When within the company, the connection can also be made via the WiFi channel. 3.1. Installation To install My IC Mobile for iphone, first download the application from Apple Store. The application can be found by searching for Alcatel-Lucent, My IC Mobile keywords. There may be several applications matching the search request. The correct one has the following icon and name. My IC Mobile My IC Mobile for iphone is deployed through Apple Store and takes advantage of the powerful Apple Store service ability for downloading, installing, and updating the application. If any new version of My IC Mobile for iphone is available, the user will be notified and the update will be made available in the same way as any other iphone application. 3.2. ios supported and recommendations 3.2.1. ios supported Since 2014, the My IC Mobile application has been compatible with ios6.x and 7.x. For the latest requirements, please refer to the application description in the App Store. 3.2.2. Notifications Due to improvements made in ios, we recommend that you correctly configure notifications for the My IC Mobile application (manage call pop-up, missed call popup and new voice mail popup): open the Notification Center (iphone settings), select the My IC Mobile application, in ALERT STYLE, select Alerts. 3.2.3. Restricted access The My IC Mobile for iphone application requires access to some of your phone s features such as, your contacts, or the microphone. When you use the application for the first time, you will be prompted to allow the application to have access to these features. This setting can be changed in the privacy menu of the iphone settings. 3.3. Connection Once the application is installed on the iphone and launched, the first connection screen is displayed requiring the OmniPCX Office RCE subscriber credentials. This has to be done through the User Profile Settings. This panel provides some other menu options: Connect / Disconnect allows the user to disconnect the application Credentials the user has to provide this in order to connect the application Other options routing numbers, language, and password To connect, the user has to provide the correct credentials and click on the Done button The username, which is the user phone s internal number (short number) The password, which is the same as the user voicemail password. The password has to be composed by 6 digits. For security reasons, we don t recommend to use passwords of 4 digits. In this case, contact your installer for more information. The server is the company domain name or IP address At the first connection, you have to accept Alcatel-Lucent certificates. These certificates are used to ensure security of the data transfer when you re my IC Mobile application communicates with the OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server of your company. If the certificate is changed due to expiration or domain modification for example, you will be immediately informed and you will have to accept the new Alcatel-Lucent certificate. 4. Features 4.1. Home Layout The My IC Mobile for iphone home screen layout displays four main areas: The user profile settings, the user routing preferences, the application content area, and the control tab bar. User profile settings provides the user options and settings User routing options provides the user telephony preferences Body content provides the application contents Control Tab Bar Provides direct access to the application main services Connectivity level information The icon that enables access to User Profile Settings also displays the level of connection to the network and OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server: Application is disconnected. The application does not display any events. The user cannot access any of the services. Application is working but the event channel is trying to connect. This is a transition status. The application is connected but does not receive any events from the Call Server. No information update is made at this stage. Application is connected and fully available. Services My IC Mobile for iphone is the user s daily mobility companion enabling communications to be tailored very easily. It provides the following OmniPCX Office RCE services: Call Routing options Call control Call History Visual voicemail Contact search Dialer User profile options All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 6

4.2. Call Routing options The call routing panel is available when selecting the User routing options button from the home layout (see section 4.1). It provides the user with call routing options. The user can choose business calls to be forwarded to any number. These numbers can be preconfigured so that the user simply has to check the desired number according to requirements. None: all incoming calls will be routed to your desk phone To voicemail: all incoming calls will be forwarded to your business voice mail Do not Disturb Mobility numbers (One Number): all incoming calls will be routed to your predefined mobile phone Forward numbers: all incoming calls will be forwarded to the predefined number 4.3. Calls History The call history panel is available when selecting the Events button from the control tab bar. The Call History Panel provides the user with business call history information. It allows the user to quickly access previous communications and calls. The Call History panel provides two types of information: Missed Calls (filtered call history) Call History (all calls) Call History The user selects the Call history entry within the Events menu. The full history of all calls handled on the business phone (One Number) is provided. The user can easily access outgoing calls and missed calls, as well as received calls. The Call History panel provides the following information: Caller / called name Caller / called phone number Date / time of the call From the Call History panel, the user can perform the following actions: Call back the caller / called number Delete the call entry Add caller to contacts All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 7

4.4. Visual Voice Mail The Visual Voice Mail panel is available when selecting the Voice mail button from the control tab bar. From the Voice Mail panel the user is provided with the list of voicemails left on the business phone (One Number). The user can easily get access to voicemails and view the details: The Voice mail panel provides the following information: Caller name Date / time / duration of message From the Voice mail panel, the user can perform the following actions: Call back the caller Play and Listen to the voicemail Pause the voicemail Delete the message Add caller to contacts 4.5. Contact Search, Call by name The Contact Search panel is available when selecting the Contacts button from the control tab bar. My IC mobile for iphone allows the user to find all contacts in the local iphone contacts and company (or corporate) contacts from the OmniPCX Office RCE: Remote contact Local iphone contact You may find the same contact several times if the contact is saved in your local and various business phonebooks. My IC mobile for iphone will automatically perform the search when the user enters more than 2 characters or when the user click on the Search button in the keyboard. The name of contacts matching your search criteria are automatically displayed on the screen. You can search on your contact's last name or last name/first name. If you type in the search field: Last name : the search runs only on contacts' last names Last name#first name : the search runs on contacts' last names and first names The user can click on one of the result entries to display the contact details: Contact name (local / remote) Contact phone number (multiple numbers are allowed and sorted like Work, All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 8

Mobile, Home and Others) Contact email address if available (multiple email addresses are allowed and sorted like Work, Home and Others) Contact photo if available on the local or company directories. Company name From the Contact Detail, the user can perform the following actions : Call the contact (Call by name). If multiple numbers, press on the desired number to call the correspondent. Email the contact using the default email client. If multiple email addresses, press on the desired email. Add caller to contacts 4.6. Dialer The Dialer is available when selecting the DialPad button from the control tab bar. My IC Mobile for iphone comes with a dialer that enables the user to enter the desired number directly. The dialer uses the standard dialing rules according to the country dialing specifications. As My IC Mobile for iphone is connected to the OmniPCX Office RCE infrastructure, it allows short dialing of company internal numbers From the Dialer panel, the user can perform the following actions : Call directly a number Add a number to contacts 4.7. Call Control My IC Mobile for iphone enables the user to control the calls handled by the business phone. If a call is received on the user business phone or a call is placed from the user business phone, My IC Mobile for iphone will display the appropriate interfaces to manage and control these calls. Example of use: The user looks for a contact name, and types Woo in the search field. The system starts providing search results immediately. The user can click on one of the result entries to display the contact details. Once the contact is displayed, the user clicks on the phone number to initiate a call with the contact. My IC Mobile for iphone displays a call progress message (e.g. Call in progress ) to inform the user that the system has registered the call. The OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server calls back first the user on the iphone, the user answers or declines the call. If the user answers the call, the OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server calls the remote contact so that the user can listen to the ringtone. When the remote contact answers the call, conversation is established between both parties. All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 9

The call is completely monitored by the OmniPCX Office RCE Call Server. Costs of these calls are handled by the company and not by the mobile (this does take into account additional roaming costs) If the user is already in conversation, My IC Mobile for iphone allows a second call to be made and applies the appropriate capability to each of the ongoing calls as you can see in the following example. In-call control features: The user is in conversation with LOMBRICI. The call control options for that conversation are: Hold the call Hang-up The Forward button is deactivated as there is no other ongoing conversation to transfer the call to. To send DTMF tones while in conversation, use native iphone dialer. How to make a second call? The user makes a second call to TCHILINGUIRIAN using the contacts, the call log or even the dialer. To do that, the user has to tap first on Back to My IC bar and look for TCHILINGUIRIAN in the dialed numbers. The conversation with LOMBRICI remains active until the second call is initiated. Once the second call is answered, the user can switch from one conversation to another. The call control options for the conversation with TCHILINGUIRIAN are : Suspend the call Call transfer Hang-up The call control options for the conversation with LOMBRICI are : Resume the call Hang up All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 10

5. SIP Companion My IC Mobile for iphone coming with the OmniPCX Office 9.1 integrates VoIP capabilities allowing the user to place and receive business calls on his iphone mobile through the company WLAN (Wi-Fi) access point. 5.1. User connection Before being able to use My IC Mobile SIP companion, the user has to log in the application using his OmniPCX Office username and password (related to his extension and same as for voice mail). The login panel is accessible by pushing the My IC Mobile user settings button 5.2. User Settings The SIP Companion can be enabled from the My IC Mobile settings Panel. The Settings menu is available when taping the top left i icon. Now go to SIP configuration page. Here the user can choose between two modes: SIP + Cellular or Cellular only It is also possible to navigate to this page by touching SIP button from Call routing page (Ref. 5.3 Picture 2, 3) Picture 1: User settings SIP + Cellular: This mode will make the business calls arriving on the My IC Mobile Sip companion and not on the Cellular itself. Each time an incoming call is arriving or an outgoing call is placed, the voice will be handled directly by the application using the WLAN (Wi-Fi) data connection. If the user has chosen the SIP + Cellular mode, the VoIP mode mode will be automatically applied as soon as the mobile will be under the company WLAN (Wi-Fi) coverage and SIP registered to the OmniPCX Office. If this mode is selected and the mobile not under the company WLAN (Wi-Fi) coverage, the application will setup the fall back mode to Cellular only. The fall back time is set to 10 minutes max. Use case: When the user makes a call using My IC Mobile, it is seen as an OmniPCX Office extension, and the call is placed directly in VoIP mode within My IC Mobile application. NB: This mode is the Default mode, if the WLAN access point is reachable and My IC Mobile is registered (valid user credentials) the service is running immediately without any user action Cellular Only: This mode will make the calls arriving on the Cellular iphone native telephone module. Each time an incoming call is arriving or an outgoing call is placed, the Voice will be handled on the Cellular. Use case: When the user makes a call using My IC Mobile, the system will call the user s mobile first and the remote contact after. Then, the two communications will be put together for the conversation. If SIP + Cellular is disabled for a user, SIP Configuration settings option will be seen grayed out in My IC Mobile application. 5.3. Call Routing Panel The Call routing panel will be setup according to the user settings parameters: When the SIP + Cellular is selected in the SIP Configuration panel, a blue button will appear on the active mobility number. If the mobility number is changing the SIP button will also move to the new mobility number. If the Cellular Only is selected in the SIP Configuration panel, a grayed out button will appear on the active mobility number. If the mobility number is changing the SIP button will also move to the new mobility number. Picture 2: Call Routing. SIP enabled Picture 3: Call Routing. 5.4. Connectivity Indication In order to know how the mobile is connected, the user is provided with two icons available in the default top bar as shown: Picture 4: Connection statues This Icon shows that My IC Mobile is connected to the OmniPCX Office for the signaling and ready to interact with the OmniPCX Office The lock indicates that the mobile is under the local Company Network. This icon shows that My IC Mobile is SIP registered to the OmniPCX Office and ready to handle VoIP communications. This icon provides the user with three different statuses according the selected mode: SIP + Cellular and SIP is connected/registered (when user is under WLAN (Wi-Fi) company coverage), the interface displays a blue SIP icon. SIP + Cellular and SIP is not connected/not registered (when user is not under WLAN (Wi-Fi) company coverage) the interface displays a grey SIP icon. Cellular only the icon doesn t appear in the interface. 5.5. Call History All calls handled though the VoIP mode will be logged in My IC Mobile call history panel. 5.6. Call Control and Service Capabilities In SIP mode, you must unlock the phone (4 digits code) in order to answer an incoming call. - Cellular call and VoIP calls will have the same basis capabilities such as CALL, HOLD, TRANSFER, RESULME, and HANG-UP. - VoIP Call will have four more specific capabilities such as enabling iphone Speaker, mute the microphone and send DTMF codes. - The incoming calls screens are different for both VoIP and Cellular calls. For Cellular, the user will see the native iphone telephone application. For VoIP the user will see the My IC Mobile application screen (Ref. Picture 6, 7, 8) - VoIP calls are not possible during ongoing Cellular calls. Picture 6: Incoming call needs to be answered Picture 7: In conversation Picture 8: In conversation, the speaker is enabled Using the Bluetooth headset connected to your phone For cellular calls, use your Bluetooth headset as you usually do. For VoIP calls, you need to use the My IC Mobile application screen to: answer or end the call switch from the Bluetooth headset to hands-free mode and vice versa During a VoIP call, if you do not want to use your Bluetooth headset and want to continue the conversation from your phone, you have to turn off. When you consult your visual voice mailbox, you can listen to messages on the connected Bluetooth headset. All Rights Reserved Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Page 14
