AX-5 CHASER PLUS OPERATION SET-UP Connect a 5pin mic cable from the AX-5 Digital DMX output to the DMX input on a DMX dimmer. A total of extra channels can be extended onto the AX-5. (CH ~CH + (CH)) (NC.) 5 (NC.) (GND) ( R-) (R+) PATCH+ (CH) All extended dimmers must be connected to the AX-5 through patch. To enter patch, press the pause/patch button. Then select the patch page (#~) desired to operate: PATCH # = CH ~ + (CH) PATCH # = CH ~ + (CH) PATCH # = CH5 ~ + (CH) PATCH # = CH ~ + (CH) EXAMPLE step # press pause/patch key step # press # key button ( led will show that the patch is now set at #) CHASE After turning power on, the initial program is 0 (full on). To start a chase program, There are a 0 chase programs, each with steps, and speed levels to choose. push the number relating to the chase program desired, see CHASE PROGRAMS." To change the chase speed, first push the speed (SP) button. When the speed LED indicator light is on, increase or decrease the speed accordingly (0~). Speed readout automatically returns back to chase program # after seconds. There is an automatic speed memory when the machine is turned on again.. The chaser can either operate the individual channels with on/off or with fade-in/ fadeout. The FADE button changes the chaser from one mode to the other. In normal operation, the chaser operates in an on/off mode ( FADE indicator light is off). When the FADE light is on, the chaser operates in a fade-in/ fade-out mode. AUDIO There is a built-in mic in the AX-5. If a direct line is desired, connect a line from the audio source to the Line in in the back of the AX-5, then push the audio (AU) button. When the audio LED indicator light is on, the chase speed is then controlled by the audio signals. AX-5 [EUM-D]
