Exprt and Imprt Curse Package Exprt Package The Exprt Curse feature creates a package f the Curse cntent that can later be imprted and used t teach anther Curse with the same cntent. It is imprtant t nte that, unlike the Archive Curse feature, Exprt Curse des nt include any user interactins with the Curse it nly includes the cntent and the tls. Exprt packages are dwnladed as cmpressed.zip files and are imprted in the same frmat. D nt unzip an Exprt package r remve files frm the package, therwise the package will nt be imprted crrectly. All Assessments and Surveys, including questins and ptins fr deplying them are imprted. All Pls are exprted. All Calendar items are exprted t the new Curse. Sme Curse Settings will be exprted. Discussin Bard Frums, including the initial message in the Discussin Bard, are exprted. Items in the Grade Center, and their settings, such as type, categries, and display ptins, are exprted. Settings include the names f the Grups, the settings fr tl availability, and the Discussin Bard Frum names. All Staff Infrmatin is exprted.
Curse Settings When Curse Settings is selected, settings are exprted. Dwnlad the Curse package After the Exprt Curse page is submitted the system creates the Curse package. When the package is cmplete, the Instructr wh initiated the peratin receives an email. After the email is received, teachers may pen the Exprt / Archive Manager page in the Blackbard applicatin and dwnlad the Curse package t the lcal cmputer. Exprt / Archive Manager The Exprt / Archive Manager page rganizes all exprt and archive packages that are created frm the Curse. When the Curse is exprted r archived, a link t the package appears n this page. The teacher may dwnlad the package t a lcal cmputer, and then use it in the future fr imprt r restre peratins. Nte: It is recmmended that packages be remved frm this page nce they are dwnladed. Each package cunts against the Curse quta; s keeping packages n this page may result in limited space t add additinal cntent t the Curse. Fr example, if they have exprted a Curse they may imprt the whle Curse package, r selected parts f the Curse thrugh Imprt Package. Never uplad an Exprted Curse package that has been mdified since it was created and dwnladed. Opening the.zip file and changing any f the files in the Exprted Curse package will result in unstable and unpredictable behavir when the Curse is imprted. The table belw describes the hw Curse Menu items are reslved. If... then... a Curse area in the package des nt exist in the destinatin Curse the area will be added t the Curse Menu in the destinatin Curse.
If... then... the Curse area in the package and the Curse area in the destinatin Curse have the same name and are f the same type (fr example, External Links, Staff Infrmatin, r cntent) the Curse area in the package and the Curse area in the destinatin Curse have the same name but are f different types the cntent frm the package will be added, but will nt replace, the cntent in the area within the destinatin Curse. the Curse area frm the package will be added t the destinatin Curse under a different name. The new name will append an incremental numeral t the name (fr example, Curse Materials will becme Curse Materials1). Curse Links Links t parts f a Curse that are nt included in the exprt package will break when the links appear in the destinatin Curse. Fr example, if there is a link t a Test in a Curse area and Tests, Surveys and Pls are nt exprted, the link t the Test will break.
