Safety Information WARNING! You should only use this headset where permitted by law and when you will not be distracted while driving. It is important to set up the Bluetooth capability prior to operating a motor vehicle, as doing so while driving may cause you to become distracted and put you and others at risk. Wearing a headset while operating a motor vehicle is prohibited in some states. WARNING! Use your headphones responsibly. Exposure to excessively loud noise can cause Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). Never put headphones on when the unit is at full volume, as this may cause permanent damage. To ensure full satisfaction with the product, please read the entire instruction sheet. Keep instructions for future reference. Follow all operation guidelines and adhere to all safety warnings and cautions to ensure safe use of your headphones. Before listening with your JXHDBT1 headphones, make sure that the volume is turned completely down. Once the headphones are in place, increase the volume to a safe and comfortable level (recommended below 85 decibels for long-term exposure). Listening with your headphones at full volume may cause damage to your hearing. Keep headphones away from small children. Do not use these headphones while biking, running or walking near traffic or in any situation where it s unsafe for outside low-pitched sounds to be muted. Warning sounds and other auditory reminders may be changed by the headphones. Do not expose these headphones to water. Keep your headphones dry at all times. Water could damage the sensitive circuitry inside your headphones. Never use harsh cleaning agents. 2

GETTING STARTED Installing the Batteries Locate the two 1.2V rechargeable AAA batteries included with your accessories and remove the protective plastic shrink wrap. The battery compartment is located on the right side of your headphones. Open the battery cover using a small cross head or flat end screw driver. Insert the two 1.2V AAA rechargeable batteries, making sure the + and - poles are correctly positioned. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten gently. CAUTION: Do not over tighten or apply too much pressure to the battery cover. Battery Precautions Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Use only the supplied rechargeable 1.2V AAA batteries. Contact ASA Electronics for replacement batteries. While standard 1.5V AAA batteries may be used, do not attempt to recharge. Turn the unit off before replacing batteries. Observe correct polarity, as marked. Please dispose of used batteries properly. Do not use a leaking battery. If battery leakage occurs, avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, immediately wash thoroughly with soap and water. If battery leakage comes into contact with your eyes, immediately flush with water and seek medical attention. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Do not overcharge the batteries. Charging the batteries for long durations of time may result in reduced batttery life and damage. Charging Your Headphones When the battery power gets low, the LED indicator will emit a red light, along with a short beep every minute. To recharge, connect the provided AC wall adapter USB cable to the port on the JXHDBT1. The LED indicator will flash red and automatically disconnect paired devices. The batteries will be fully charged after about 4 hours, or when the LED indicator shows a solid red light. Adjusting the Fit Your JXHDBT1 headphones are fully adjustable for the most comfortable fit. To adjust, firmly hold the top headband with one hand and the bottom headphone portion with the other. Do not hold by the ear cups when adjusting the headband as damage could occur. Gently slide the two sections up and down until you find the proper fit for you. Passive Noise Reduction Your JXHDBT1 Headphones use a Passive Noise Reducing design that reduces the ambient noise around you for a more pleasurable listening experience. The noise reducing effect is dependent on maintaining a good seal of the headphone cushions around the ears. 3

Turning the Headphones On Turn the headphone power on/off by pressing and holding the Multi-Function button (1) for two seconds. If not paired (registered) with your Bluetooth equipment (Bluetooth equipped mobile phone, Jensen JHD910BT radio, etc.), you must complete the pairing process before using the headphones.
