This will ensure that you will have everything that you need to continue in education. You can decide the courses that will best meet the needs of your future career. There is a new grading system in GCSEs and A* to G will be replaced with 9 to 1. English The opportunity to understand the English Language through: Communicating by speaking, listening, reading and writing; Writing creatively; Understanding written English by reading novels, plays and poetry; Accreditation: A single GCSE, grades 1 to 9 or Functional Skills Level 1 or 2. Optional Subjects Options at CCfL Performing Arts You get to choose! We have a large range of subjects that you can opt to choose to study at the CCfL or at College: Option 1: Study at CCfL for five days and choose three centre based options; Option 2: Study at CCfL for four days a week. Study at college for one day a week and choose two centre based options Catering A career in Catering, learning the Jamie Oliver way! Giving you the skills to prepare delicious and nutritious food, that will prepare you for a job as a chef. Accreditation: A BTEC qualification to Level 1 in Y10 and Level 2 in Y11. Or a NCFE qualification in Cooking at Level 1 and Level 2 (GCSE equivalent). The opportunity to work with professional artists in your chosen specialism Music: Producing music tracks. Drama: Produce performances Dance: Working to produce group performances. Accreditation: A Bronze and Silver Arts Award Level 1 and Level 2. Or a NCFE qualification in Performance at Level 1 and Level 2 (GCSE equivalent).

Fine Art Develop your creative & imaginative talents through fine art: painting, sculpture & printmaking. Explore art from different genres & cultures; develop your observational, critical & technical skills. Financial Education Accreditation: A single GCSE Award Level 1 and Level 2 This certificate in financial education provides and introduction to and preparation for, further study through developing an understanding of the economy, financial management skills, employability and enterprise. Accreditation: A GCSE equivalent qualification to Level 1 or Level 2 from the London Institute of Finance and Banking. Hair and Beauty We offer a Hairdressing and Barbering course to ensure you are ahead of the curve with new styles and techniques, which will prepare you for a wide range of careers in the beauty industry. Accreditation: A VTCT Award Level 1 and Level 2 course (GCSE equivalent) English Literature The study of Shakespeare and Modern English Literature. In this course you will get to look at the great works of poetry, prose and drama of the English Language. Accreditation: A new GCSE Award, Grades 1 to 9. Further Science Study Music Study all about your favorite music through: Music Production and Performance A study of your own music hero Accreditation: An Arts Award to Level 1 and Level 2. Or a NCFE qualification in Music Technology at Level 1 and Level 2 (GCSE equivalent). In this combined science GCSE Award students will learn about: Biology: DNA, Body Systems, Respiration, Digestion, Evolution, Nervous System, Homeostasis and Genetics Chemistry: the Atmosphere, Metals, Acids, Fuels, Atomic Structure, Periodic Table and Bonding Physics: Light, Sound, Energy, Electricity, Motion, Forces, Electricity, Power and Nuclear Energy Accreditation: A Combined Science GCSE, grades 1 to 9 or three individual science GCSEs, grades 1 to 9.

Physical Education If you want to study a course that involves sport and fitness then we are sure to have the right qualification for you. You will get to study sport science and coaching so you can train for a career in fitness instructing and personal training. Accreditation: A NCFE GCSE equivalent in Health and Fitness Level 1 and Level 2. Design and Technology In our newly resourced purpose-built workshop you will be encouraged to show your creativity by designing and making products. Along the way you will learn how to use materials, tools and computer aided machines to bring your ideas to life. Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing will be used as a part of the design production. Certificate of Personal Effectiveness This course allows students to practice and develop the skill that they will need to be successful and independent adults, when they leave Camden Centre for Learning and attend college or start training. In this course we look at: Communication Citizenship and the Community Sport and Leisure The Environment Health and Fitness Preparation for Working Life Science and Technology International Links Expressive Arts Beliefs and Values Accreditation: An Award or Certificate at Level 1 or Level 2. Accreditation: A single GCSE, grades 1 to 9.

Options at College A Course at College Attend one of our partner colleges to study a range of vocational courses. Construction Engineering Health & Social Care Motor Vehicle Maintenance Child Development Hospitality and Catering This year students have undertaken one day college study in the following subjects: Construction Child Care Learn all the skills that you would need to know to begin work in the world of construction. Construction Technology: Students will undertake units of study in plastering, carpentry, brick laying, plumbing and painting and decorating. Accreditation: City and Guilds or BTEC Certificate at Level 1 at CNWL or Kings Cross This Teens and Toddlers programme offers work experience, a national qualification and the opportunity to mentor children in nurseries. This course builds personal responsibility, teaches about parenthood and offers a possible career for the future. Accreditation: An Entry 3 to Level 1 NCFE Award in Personal and Social Development. Motorcycle Maintenance If you have a passion for understanding how things work as well as using your hands to fix things then this is the course for you. Accreditation: AQA Unit Award Scheme Level 1 and 2. A one afternoon a week course at the Silverdale Project.
