ANY CELL ANY TECHNOLOGY ANYWHERE Rapid fiber panel with indoor/outdoor cable 1 The Rapid fiber panel is a fiber distribution panel that incorporates CommScope s unique RapidReel fiber cable spool. The spool allows the installer to pay out exactly the amount of cable needed for faster, more economical fiber deployment and provides built-in slack cable storage. The cable terminates to a multi-fiber push-on connector (MPO), which enables a rapid plug-and-play connection. Panel models are available with 12-fiber, 3.6 mm cable in increments of 100 with total cable lengths up to 1,000'. Fiber optic panels 2 Fiber optic panel (FOP) products are generally used in situations when fiber counts are less than 400. The line contains flexible solutions for wall, cabinet and rack mounting. In the case of rack mounting solutions, splicing is generally done on frame. All FOP products are designed for: maximum bend radius protection, intuitive cable routing paths, easy cable and connector access and physical protection. Fiber wall boxes for indoor and outdoor applications 3 Fiber wall boxes are available in a variety of one and two door wall mount configurations. Products are designed specifically to act as part of the fiber distribution system as the demarcation point for the service provider at the customer location. Flexible fiber box (FFB) CommScope s FFB is a modular aggregation and demarcation box that can be factory-or-fieldconfigured for spliced, connectorized, or multi-connectorized applications. The FFB provides future expandability without running additional fiber from the backhaul into the cell site or from the base station to the radio heads, resulting in reduced labor costs, weight and cable congestion. The solution can be mounted in a variety of applications, including walls, H-frames, and towers, which helps standardize deployment components. Available in modular configurations or with CommScope s RapidReel fiber cable spooling technology. 5

Wireless connectivity: flexible cell site solutions Value-added modules 4 Value-added modules, or VAMs, are comprised of splitters, monitors, multiplexers and add important functionality to the optical transport system by enabling service providers to easily incorporate optical components into the network. Optical monitoring passive and non-intrusive In the VAM product family, monitoring modules offer an efficient way to troubleshoot and monitor network traffic. These modules can be placed anywhere there is a fiber drop allowing monitoring at cell sites or other remote locations. Monitoring modules are relatively small, consume no power, and offer plug-and-play connectivity to the fiber. Wavelength division multiplexing WDM, CWDM, DWDM CommScope s wavelength division multiplexers (WDM) modules offer an efficient way to increase network capacity without deploying additional fiber. Dense and coarse wavelength division multiplexer modules (DWDM, CWDM) combine two or more signals with different wavelengths in one common fiber. The same components can also be used to separate the wavelengths Fiber cable assemblies Indoor and outdoor 5 Fiber cable assemblies and accessories are designed to meet the demands of indoor/outdoor customer applications. From patch cords, multifiber assemblies and connectors to adapters and attenuators, the fiber cable product family exceeds service provider requirements for today s high-speed networks. Multifiber cable assemblies 6 Multifiber cables allow a one-time run of multiple fibers in a fiber raceway system eliminating the expense of running individual patch cords for each service turn up. Well suited for use in cross-connect applications (upjacketed on both ends), interconnect applications (upjacketed on active end), and high density fiber environments, multifiber cables enhance the infrastructure of any network. 6

FiberGuide fiber management system 7 The FiberGuide fiber management system is designed to protect and route fiber optic patch cords and multi-fiber cable assemblies between network elements and optical distribution frame areas. Available in multiple sizes from 2X2 to 4X24. Power distribution panels 8 Power distribution panels have been engineered from the ground up to properly protect and distribute power to valuable, revenue generating network equipment. Flexible configurations suit almost every network application and the platform sets a new standard for delivering the power and protection that service providers need. Power Distributions Panels meet the industry s most stringent standards, including NEBS Level 3. Ethernet patch panels 9 Ethernet patch panels are manufactured in 24-port (1 RU) or 48-port (2 RU) configurations to provide high-density modular patching solutions for all high-density applications where space is limited. The LSA-PLUS IDC technology provides a secure, reliable and gas-tight connection and allows for the wire to be terminated with either a KRONE insertion tool or a 110 termination tool. DS1 and DS3 panels 10 The DS1 and DS3 are the next generation of fixed circuit DSX panels. Designed for flexibility and modularity, the DS1 and D3 panels accommodate a wide range of cell site requirements. With product innovation like higher density and technician friendly design, the multi-function panels add value and confidence to service providers' networks, and the panels are economically priced to create an excellent return on investment. 7

Wireless Connectivity: Flexible Cell Site Solutions Media converters 11 The media converter is designed to convert optical signals to electrical signals. The module supports 1000BaseT data rates with 1310 nm singlemode, 850 nm multimode fiber, or 1550nm singlemode fiber. Each module has three connections fiber input, fiber output, and RJ45 Ethernet. ComProtect high voltage protection modules 12 CommScope's ComProtect single-pair protectors provide maximum overvoltage protection in a minimum of space. Plugging directly into CommScope's LSA-PLUS Series 2 disconnect and switching blocks, ComProtect products save space and protect valuable, system-critical equipment. Easy to use and maintain when inserted into a Series 2 switching block, the field pair can be isolated from the equipment side by removing the protector and opening the circuit. Gel sealed closure for in-line and antenna coaxial connectors GSIC, FGST 13 The GSIC gel closure is a weatherproofing system sealing jumper-to-feeder and jumper-toantenna connectors, exposed to the outside environment. The housing contains an innovative gel material and provides an efficient moisture block. 8

Fiber optic gel sealed splice closure (FOSC) FOSC 400 FR, FOSC 450 14 FOSC 450 fiber optic splice closures for outside plant fiber splicing applications, utilize compressed gel cable sealing and a quick release dome-to-base clamp for fast access to the splicing area. A variety of sizes are available, each handling a range of cable styles and sizes and incorporating features like hinging splice trays. FOSC closures are accompanied by a full line of accessories as well. Multiport service terminals MST 15 The Multiport Service Terminal (MST) features full-sized hardened adapters in an environmentally sealed enclosure. Terminated at the factory, the MST is designed for use in a variety of drop cable applications in optical access networks. The Rapid MST utilizes the innovative RapidReel fiber cable spool to help minimize site survey requirements, streamline cable ordering requirements, and facilitates faster cabling installation in the OSP. Terminated with a 12-fiber hardened multifiber optical connector (HMFOC), the Rapid MST plugs directly into CommScope s Rapid Fiber Distribution Hub or other HMFOC-equipped solution. Harsh environment drop cables 16 OSP drop cables are terminated at the factory with full-sized hardened connectors. Plug-and-play drop technology reduces splicing labor requirements and speeds network construction. The rugged optical connector is hardened to protect against harmful UV, moisture and harsh environmental conditions. 9
