Chapter 1 Overview 1 Overview 1.1 Abstract The SK-91460-MAIN is a multifunctional evaluation board that has to be used together with the emulator system or a separated microcontroller board for the Fujitsu 32-bit microcontroller of MB91460 Series. The board allows the designer immediately to start with the software development before his own final target system is available. 1.2 Features < Supports Emulation system with MB2198-300 and MB91V460 < 9-12V (500mA) unregulated external DC power supply < Selectable 3V/5V on-board voltage regulator with power status-leds < On-board Memory: 128 Mbit Flash, 32 Mbit SRAM, 64 Mbit SDRAM < All microcontroller resources available for evaluation < In-Circuit serial Flash programming < Five selectable UART or LIN interfaces < UART0 for serial programming < Selectable 4 out of 15 LIN-UART channels (UART1-15) < Three High-Speed CAN interfaces < Each interface is selectable out of 6 CAN channels < 8 User LEDs < optional: alphanumeric standard LC-Display connectable instead of LEDs < 1 Reset button, Reset-LED < 4 User buttons < 1 NMI button < Graphic-Controller board support: < External bus interface routed to 96pin and 48pin DIN 41612 (VG) connector This board must only be used for test applications in an evaluation laboratory environment. UG-910010-24 - 6 - Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe GmbH

Chapter 1 Overview 1.3 General Description The SK-91460-MAIN can be used as a target board for the emulation system together with the MB91V460 adapter board (MB2198-300). The following configuration has to be used: Emulation chip: MB91V460 Emulation main unit: MB2198-01 DSU cable: MB2198-10 Adapter board: MB2198-300 Evaluation board: SK-91460-MAIN The evaluation board includes 16 Mbyte Flash, 4 Mbyte SRAM, 8 Mbyte SDRAM memories. Level shifters are used to adapt the memories for 3V as well as for 5V microcontrollers. One dedicated RS232 transceiver and one dedicated LIN transceiver is available to connect on-chip UART channel 0 to one dedicated 9-pin D-Sub connector (SL3049). Four separate RS232 transceivers and four separate LIN transceivers are available to connect 4 out of 15 available on-chip UARTs to the 9-pin D-Sub connectors (SL1000, SL1010, SL1020 and SL1030). The RS232 transceivers generate the adequate RS232 levels for receive (RXD) and transmit (TXD) lines. The RTS signal can be shortcut to CTS using jumpers. Either the DTR line or the RTS line of UART 0 can be selected to generate a system reset. The LIN transceivers (TLE6259) generate the adequate levels to drive the bus line in LINsystems for automotive and industrial applications. RS232 and LIN signals are shared on the 9-pin D-Sub connector. Three high-speed CAN-transceivers (PCA82C250) are available to connect 3 out of 6 available on-chip CANs to 9-pin D-Sub connectors (SL3005, SL3015 and SL3025). The transceivers provides differential transmit and receive capability between CAN-controller and CAN-bus. Additional hardware, like e.g. graphic-controller starter kits (daughter boards), can be connected to the external bus interface that is available at the DIN 41612 (VG96ABC, VG48ABC) connectors ST2000 and ST2010. All microcontroller pins that are not used by the evaluation board itself are routed to pin headers. There are six push buttons on the board, used for System-Reset, external Interrupts INT0 to INT2, INT13 and a non-maskable interrupt (NMI). Eight user-leds are connected via pull-down resistor network to Port P31.0-P31.7. Parallel to the LEDs the connector X4 can be used to connect a standard alphanumeric display. If neither LEDs nor LCD are required, the resistor network can be removed to free the port. The on-board voltage regulator allows the user to connect an unregulated DC input voltage between +9V to +12V (500mA). Also the power-supply voltages for an optional graphiccontroller starter kit are generated. In this case the input voltage should be +9V (1500mA). In case of any modifications of the board, care should be taken that the total power consumption will not damage the on board regulators. Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe GmbH - 7 - UG-910010-24

Chapter 2 Installation 2 Installation Remove carefully the board from the shipping carton. Check first if there are any damages before power on the SK-91460-MAIN evaluation board. Connect the SK-91460-MAIN evaluation board to the MB91V460 adapter board (MB2198-300) and check all jumper settings of both boards. Refer to the user guide mcu-an-300005- e to get more information about the MB91V460 adapter board (MB2198-300). Connect the emulation main unit MB2198-01 to the MB91V460 adapter board (MB2198-300) using the DSU cable MB2198-10. Take care to use the following power on sequence: 1. Emulation main unit MB2198-01 2. Evaluation board SK-91460-MAIN 3. Adapter board MB91V460 (MB2198-300) For the power supply of the evaluation board SK-91460-MAIN a DC input voltage of 9V 12V is recommended. The positive voltage (+) must be connected to the shield, and ground (GND) must be connected to the centre of the connector X12! After power-on of the evaluation board SK-91460-MAIN, the eight green power-on LEDs (LD116, LD156, LD176, LD206, LD226, LD236, LD256, LD358) should be on. Chapter 3 Jumpers and Switches 3.2 Power Supply Voltage (SL260, SL262, ST370, ST371) Two voltage regulators (IC153, IC253) supply the evaluation board as well as the I/Os of the MB91460 adapter board. The power supply of the microcontroller interface can be selected between 5V and 3.3V. Six voltage regulators (IC113, IC173, IC203, IC223, IC233, IC353) are connected to the external bus interface ST2000 and ST2010, where e.g. graphic controller daughter boards can be connected. SL260 This jumper selects whether a 3V3 or 5V microcontroller interface is used. SL262 This Jumper is used to connect the MCU_Vcc supply voltage. Connecting an Ampere-meter allows measuring of the power-supply-current of the microcontroller (Icc).
