Using the Calyx Point PDS (Point Data Server) with WorkCenter CRM Calyx Point Software, as everyone knows, is offering clients an option for Calyx Point Data File Central Control. Calyx calls this service the PDS (Point Data Server) option. WorkCenter CRM users that are now using the PDS should read this user guide for mapping the syncing of their Calyx Point data into WorkCenter. The Calyx Point Data Server can be located in your office or miles away. When the PDS user opens their Calyx Software, your icon will take you to the internet and access the PDS server. When you then open a file, Calyx will load a temporary file on your computer. Once you have closed the file, the PDS server will send the file back to the server and the temporary file will no longer be displayed on your computer. WorkCenter has about one second to retrieve the updated data from Calyx Point s temporary file before it is removed from you local computer. To accomplish the data sync from the PDS to your WorkCenter CRM, you will need to re-program your Loan Origination Settings inside WorkCenter. Please follow these steps to find the local computer folder where Calyx PDS places the temporary file when viewing or making modifications. PROCEDURES IF YOU ARE USING A MICROSOFT XP COMPUTER: Vista Users Instructions in this guide following #6: below #1: Open Calyx Point from your computer icon. When the software opens, you will need to open a single borrower or prospect file. During this process, you will need to keep that file open inside Calyx Point. Once the file is displayed, look at the top left section and write down the loan file name. For this example, as shown by the screen view below, the file is named: 1104061700.BRW Please write down this file number/name because you will need to search your computer for that file. You will need to copy or print this location. The next step will be to program this setting into your WorkCenter system files. We recommend that you set your system default to the PDS Folder and it is not necessary to go any lower.
