How Do I sign up to Volunteer? 1. Go to: www.habitatyorkcounty.org 2. On the main page Click the VolunteerUP Link 3. First time volunteers will need to register before volunteering 4. After registering, returning volunteers simply log-in 1

When Registering Please... Complete the registration form to the best of your ability. You will have to scroll down in this window to complete all fields. Anything with an * must be filled out or Volunteer UP will not let you register The User Name & Password you choose here will become your log-in information for future volunteer shifts. Please make a note of this information for future log-ins. Select any groups that you are currently affiliated with so that you me be tracked with your group and the appropriate information will be made available to you in the system. This is important for group build activities. *Don t fret if you don t get it just right the first time. You can go in and update your User profile later if necessary. If you have any questions we will be happy to assist you with this process 2

Registration continued: Interest and Skills Section At this section simply click off the things that you are interested in. This includes committee participation, construction at Habitat builds, office tasks, ReStore opportunities, special events, the Weatherization program as well as any other area that you would like to suggest and volunteer for. There is no prior experience necessary to volunteer but please note whether an area is something you are interested in or if you have ability or skill in that area. This helps us identify people for specific competencies and interests for given volunteer opportunities as they unfold. 3

Registration continued: Once completing the registration form, remember to scroll to the very bottom of the registration page and click Register at the bottom of the page- 4

Registration Completion and Signing up for Volunteer Shift: Once you are registered within VolunteerUP you will be notified via the email that you provided during registration. A Registration Completion announcement will also appear on your screen- Signing up for a volunteer shift: At this point you may choose to log out and log- in later to sign up for a volunteer shift. If you choose to sign up immediately following registration click the Click Here link to do so Broadcast Messages: When you log-in to sign-up for a volunteer shift you may see a broadcast message. This will reflect opportunities in the fields that you have noted an interest in during registration. Please read the message completely before proceeding- Once you have read this message you can click I have read this Message. This message will not appear again until its been modified. Please be sure to read it each time it comes up. 5

Signing up for Volunteer Shift Continued. Following the broadcast screen you will be brought to the volunteer calendar. This is the page where the magic begins. Here you have the capability to sign-up for whatever volunteer position strikes your fancy- For example, if you want to attend volunteer orientation on 2/13/16 you would click on Volunteer Training in the corresponding field. If you would like to see what is available in other months choose Next Month Likewise, If you would like to sign up to be a Morning Cashier 2/17/2016 at the ReStore, You would click here 6

Example of of a volunteer shift selected at the ReStore: As an example, assuming you chose to work the 2/17/2016 morning cahier ReStore shift you would have been brought to this screen. The first thing that you would do is affirm your shift by selecting the appropriate box. Next you could identify what group (if any) you were volunteering with You also have the option at this point to receive an email reminder of the voulunteer shift you ve signed up for Scroll down to the bottom of this screen for additional pertinent information including start and end time, directions to the site and materials required for a give volunteer day. Be sure to click the Sign-up button to ensure your spot as a volunteer has been confirmed (This are is left blank intentionally scroll down on the main sign-in screen on your live computer webpage for Information specific to your volunteer day) You will receive a confirmation after you click Signup to affirm your position will be saved. Select the return tab to return to the main volunteer page. 7

To Cancel a Volunteer Shift 1. Begin by going to My Info on the main calendar page. 2. Next double click on the My Commitments and/ or press the select tab underneath the my information menu box. * You can also edit your profile information from this page by selecting the My Profile tab located above the My Commitments tab. 8

To Cancel a Volunteer Shift Continued... 3. Upon clicking the My Commitments tab you will be directed to this page that lists all of your current volunteer committments. To cancel your shift click on The words Delete Commitment at the far left hand corner of the window 4. Upon doing this, a confirmation dialogue box will appear If you are positive that you would like to delete your commitment just click on the OK button within this dialogue box. 5. After clicking OK an updated volunteer commitments list will appear to confirm your deleted volunteer commitment. 9
