Configuration Utility The Meeting Exchange Web Configuration utility is a Java GUI application that enables Web Portal System Administrators to configure common settings for a number of Web applications. New Features in this Release E-mail Attachments End users can now send up to five file attachments with their conference invitations using the onboard address book feature. Web Portal System Administrator can specify the maximum size limit for these attachments. The mails are sent from the Notifications Subsystem, which supports either SMTP or Messaging Application Programmer s Interface (MAPI). Simplified SSL Implementation It is now easier to implement Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) in the Web Portal. Avaya has simplifed the process of enabling secure data transfer in the Web Portal. For more information see the Avaya Meeting Exchange 5.0 Web Portal Administrator Guide. Cost Center Modifications Avaya has updated the functionality associated with the Cost Center field on the Web Portal booking screens. Avaya implemented these changes to ensure greater integration with Client Registration Server (CRS) functionality. New Advanced Booking Fields Web Portal System Administrators can now configure a number of new fields on the Moderators Advanced tab in the Book Meeting process. These fields include a new Dial List field and a new Participant Language field. With the Dial List field, Moderators can now associate a list of contact names and telephone numbers with their conference. With the Participant Language field, Participants who self-register for a conference can select their preferred language for e-mail notifications in the Preferred Notification Language field. Avaya has included a new Biometric Authentication field. This feature is still in development. Self Administration In Meeting Exchange 5.0, regular Web Portal Users can add new Web Portal Users to the system. When a User adds a new User, the CRS server creates a corresponding Client record on the CRS Front End. Web Portal System Administrators can configure the parameters for this feature, for example, System Administrators can configure the feature to create a new demand conference for each new user. 10 Avaya Web Portal 5.0 Release Notes
