Introduction to WellEz WellEz is an online reporting system that tracks daily reports for the lifecycle of a well. Users can login at wellez.com and enter daily drilling, completion, and workover reports. Please see a few important notes about WellEz below: WellEz is currently compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Firefox. o WellEZ is optimized for use in Internet Explorer 9+ If rig users have a slow or unstable internet connection, they can use an offline version called WellEz Remote. Please have rig personnel contact WellEz Support if this is needed. This user s manual will explain how to setup your account. Each company contains a number of assets (ex: East Texas, South Louisiana, etc.). Inside each asset are a number of locations and wells. Inside each well, there are a number of jobs (ex: drilling, completion, workover, etc.). Please use the step by step user s manual to create locations, assets, wells, and jobs in your WellEz account. We ll also go over how to create new users and setup your reporting distribution list. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 3

A Brief Overview Login to www.wellez.com WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 4

A Brief Overview Once you are logged in you will see the Select Well menu. o Use the Well Search field to search for wells by name o Click the magnifying glass at the top of a column (Well name, Lease, Asset Name) to type in a search value Clicking Adv Search sorts the wells by job type and also allows you to filter based on additional criteria. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 5

A Brief Overview To view the highest hierarchy level, click Admin Tools on the left hand side and then click Asset List under Company Admin Tools. Here you can: o View a list of your Assets o Add new Assets o Modify Asset Level Permissions WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 6

A Brief Overview For important Administrator tools click Admin Tools on the left hand side, here you can Create new users, assign users roles Setup email distribution lists Manage Well Files We will come back and review Administrator functions later in the guide WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 7

Creating an Asset Step 1 The first step you will take to create a well is to first create an Asset. The well will be located inside of a specific Asset. Click Admin Tools on the left hand side and then click Asset List under Company Admin Tools. In the Asset List screen, click Add Asset. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 8

Creating an Asset Step 2 Type the Asset name in the space provided. Business Unit should default to Main until the features' functionality is completed in upcoming development. Step 3 Click the Asset List button at the top, this will save the new asset and display the complete list. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 9

Creating a Location Step 1 Go to your Location list by clicking Location List on the left and then click Create Location. Step 2 Type in the location information. **Be sure that the Time Zone and Asset are correct** WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 10

Creating a Location Step 3 Select Any Wells that will be related to this location Step 4 Check the wells to be related to this location, then select Save and Exit to return the Location Setup form WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 11

Creating a Location Step 5 Select Save and Exit again to return to the Location List Screen Step 6 To view the Location, select the Location by clicking on its name The associated wells will appear in a hyperlink on the right side of each location WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 12

Creating a Location Work Job Allocation To complete this step, a location level job must be setup on the location, which can be completed by following the directions in the 'Creating a Job' section. Step 1 In the location, once a job has been created, select the cost allocation page Step 2 Select the gear on the far right side and select 'Add' to add a Well and Job to the Cost Allocation from this Location The Location Form will show gross numbers allocated from the location to the wells, more detail can be found in the cost forms. Step 3 Once a new row has been added, select the Well and Job, and input the percentage of costs to be allocated to this well, and Select Save and Exit to return the Location Main Menu Cost Allocations only allow unique Well/Job Pairings, so you cannot add the same job twice. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 13

Step 2 Type in the well information. ** Be Sure Time Zone & Asset are Correct ** Step 3 Click Well List and select your well after you ve created it. Yellow boxes are required to save information. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 14

Creating a New Job Step 1 Select the well where you will be adding the new job. (Drilling, Completion, Facilities, etc.) Step 2 Click New Job button by job drop down list. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 15

Creating a New Job Step 3 Enter your Job Details. Be sure to specify the Job Type All fields in yellow are required This info can only be filled in by a Company Admin or Asset Manager Note: Some fields require only numerical values. If Tight is selected under Tight Group In most cases, a job should not be selected as Tight. This option removes the well from all company emails (minus those explicitly made in the well) and will not allow you to carryover information for the well. There are a few things that change when you select Tight in the Tight Group field when creating a job: Unless the checkbox Included to X-Well reports is checked, this job will not be included in any multiwell reports. If the checkbox is selected, the well will be added as an option in Multi Well Rpts but will not be emailed out on company level reports, only Well Level reports Users have to be explicitly added via the Manage User tab that appears at the top of the page when you select Tight in the dropdown box. This job cannot be used for the carryover source for future jobs on this well. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 16

Creating a New Job Step 1 New fields for at the Bottom when "Tight" is selected *Only select Tight if the well is confidential. The information will be restricted from other users at the company. Step 2 Next, select the users who should have access the job. In order for users to appear on this list, users have to be specifically granted the tight well. Note: Most jobs should not be designated as Tight. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 17

Make sure you are in the correct Well and have chosen the correct Job from your Job List. Step 2 Once you are in the AFE form you will see an import button at the top left of the form, click here. If this import button is not available please contact WellEz support to have it enabled. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 19

The first Excel worksheet will open by default, if your data exists on a different worksheet please select the correct worksheet from the pick list. (Highlighted Below) 2. Define the range of rows were our data exists. During our first import we want our range to end after the intangible cost section. Warning: if this is not updated you will receive an error when starting the import process, please make sure to ONLY enter the range of rows that have data skipping any header rows on information at the top. (Highlighted below) WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 20

Password Management Step 2 Select the appropriate rules according to your organization s internal policies by selecting Active next to the rule There are three separate sections in the page: Password Rules- These rules cover the basic rules of expiration and length for any created WellEz password. Authentication Rules- These rules cover failed attempts, user lockout periods, and forced reset to prevent the user from having unlimited login attempts to guess a password and gain unauthorized access into the system. Password Composition- These rules cover the complexity of the passwords users will be required to create for their WellEz login. They ensure that users are creating strong and unique passwords that prevent unauthorized access. Step 3 Once selected, a suggested requirement variable will appear in the far right of the screen. The default value is considered the best practice for that rule, but administrators should update the value based on their organizational needs. WellEz Admin User s Guide - Page 68
