Introduction This guide explains the necessary steps for configuring the following features with SAP NetWeaver Search and Classification (TREX): Duplicate checks You can implement a check that identifies potentially duplicate accounts or contacts (in create and edit mode) and notifies the user. The user can decide whether the new account or contact is required or is in fact a duplicate of an existing account or contact. Duplicates can be discarded or merged with the existing account or contact. You can activate the duplicate check for both accounts and contacts or for each separately. Fuzzy search You can activate a fuzzy search for accounts and contacts to provide search results when a user does not know the precise search string. When fuzzy search is activated, the user can choose between the options Regular Search and Fuzzy Search in the search screens. Duplicate checks and fuzzy search are executed in the SAP CRM system. Prerequisite You require TREX 7.10.39 or above.

Settings in Customizing 1. SAP CRM Customizing: SAP NetWeaver Application Server Basis Services Address Management Duplicate Check Activate Duplicate Check and Determine Limit for BAPIs a. Activate the index pools BUT000 (for accounts) and/or BUT052 (for contacts) by selecting the checkbox Index active. b. Specify the similarity percentage for the fuzzy search in the field Threshold BAPIs. We recommend that you test increasing similarity percentages until the search produces an appropriate set of results. Note: The similarity percentage that you set applies to both the duplicate check and fuzzy search.

2. SAP CRM Customizing: SAP NetWeaver Application Server Basis Services Address Management Duplicate Check Set Limit for Duplicate List in SAP Dialog Boxes Adjust the threshold value incrementally, beginning with 1:

Implementation of Business Add-Ins You do the following in transaction SE18: 1. Call BAdI ADDRESS_SEARCH. 2. Choose Implementation Display. 3. Select implementation SIC_ADDRESS_SEARCH and activate it:

4. Call BAdI ADDRESS_UPDATE. 5. Choose Implementation Display. 6. Select implementation SIC_ADDRESS_UPD_TREX and activate it:

Configuration of Information Quality Management In transaction IQM_CM_CONFIG, make the selections in the wizard, as shown in the following screenshots. Note: When you call transaction IQM_CM_CONFIG, you are referred to SAP Note 1001468, which informs you that the TREX implementation of the duplicate check function will not be enhanced in future releases. The product is supported under SAP maintenance terms. The search attributes that can be used are the same as for other implementations of the BAdI ADDRESS_SEARCH.

Note: If you want to implement duplicate checks or fuzzy search for contacts, SAP Note 1692370 (to which this document is attached) explains how to add the object type BUT052, after which it is displayed in the above screen. The following screens show the settings for accounts (object type BUT000).

Select all the entries: Result: The index is created.

You have completed the required settings.

Settings for TREX In transaction SES_ADMIN, do the following: 1. Choose Index Create/ Activate Indexes to check that the index BAS_BUPA was created: If BAS_BUPA index was created it is displayed in the popup. 2. Select the displayed index and confirm. The index BAS_BUPA is displayed in the Index Monitor from SES_ADMIN: 3. Choose Goto Customizing System Settings:

4. Connect TREX: 5. Go to the start screen of transaction SES_ADMIN: i. Choose TREX Admin. ii. Select the queue as shown below:

iii. Set the following queue parameters: 6. Execute report SIC_BAS_RSADRINI.
