OVERVIEW This document details the download, installation and registration of the GocycleConnect App when using Android devices and a Gocycle operating pre-version 72 firmware. Note: When attempting to upgrade a Gocycle from a firmware version lower than version 72, it is not possible to do so by an Apple ios device. Refer to an Android device to upgrade the Gocycle in the first instance. It is possible to use an Apple ios device for a Gocycle operating firmware version 72 or higher only. CAUTION: OPERATION OF THE GOCYCLE MAY DIFFER BETWEEN FIRMWARE REVISIONS. 1. DOWNLOADING THE GOCYCLE CONNECT ANDROID APP Note: Before continuing, ensure you have an internet connection. 1.1 Enter the Android Play Store by selecting the Play Store icon on your Android device. 1.2 Open the Search function by clicking on the symbol and type in Gocycle. 1.3 Download the Gocycle Connect App by clicking on the Gocycle app tab. 1.4 Click on INSTALL. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 3
1.5 The App permissions window will appear. After agreeing to the permissions, click ACCEPT. 1.6 The Gocycle Connect App will now begin downloading. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 4

2. REGISTERING YOUR ANDROID APP 2.1 To connect to your Gocycle, first search for a Gocycle within range by clicking on the symbol. 2.2 The Gocycle Connect App will begin scanning for a Gocycle within range. 2.3 Click on the tab to pair Bluetooth with your Gocycle. 2.4 Select OK when the Bluetooth pairing request window appears. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 7
2.5 When connected, the battery charge state will be displayed. Click on the tab to connect with your Gocycle. 2.6 The Gocycle App Registration page will appear. Enter your email address and click Submit. CAUTION! Ensure that the email address is entered correctly. NB. Your email address can only contain letters, numbers, fullstops (.), hyphens (-) and underscores (_). It can't contain special characters, accented letters or letters outside the Latin alphabet. 2.7 Click OK. 2.8 An activation email will be sent to the email address provided. Note: (This may take a few minutes. Please also check your junk folder) Follow the directions given on this email. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 9
2.9 Follow the instructions to register your App, entering the code as shown and click Confirm Registration. 2.10 Your Gocycle Connect App is now authorised and ready to be used. 3. HOW TO: FIRMWARE UPDATE A Gocycle operating firmware version earlier than v72 must first be updated before the App can be fully utilised. Complete the app installation by following the process detailed below. 3.1 When an updated Firmware version is available, the Firmware Update Available text will be highlighted in red and the Firmware Update... tab bold, as shown. 3.2 To update the Gocycle Firmware, click on the Firmware Update... tab. 3.3 Select Yes when the Firmware Update window appears. NOTE: The first time that the Gocycle s firmware is updated, it may require following a manual process.. 3.4 Follow the onscreen instructions to continue, detailed below 3.5 To power down (enter Sleep Mode), press and hold the battery button until the two right LEDs begin to flash. The two right-hand LEDs will flash alternately while the battery whilst the battery enters Sleep Mode. All LEDs will flash to confirm that the battery has entered Sleep Mode. When the Gocycle is in Sleep Mode all LEDs will remain off. When in Sleep Mode all dash LEDs will remain off. 3.6 Press and hold both buttons (A and B), shown. 3.7 Whilst continuing to press and hold buttons A and B, turn the Gocycle ON. Press and hold the button until two left LEDs begin to flash. *Assistance may be required at this stage. The two left-hand LEDs will flash alternately whilst the Gocycle is turning ON. If the process has been followed correctly, the Gocycle dash will display alternate LEDs, as shown. 3.8 Return to the App and select OK. The App will return to the Home Screen. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 14
3.9 Click on the Gocycle to enter the App. 3.10 When an updated Firmware version is available, the Firmware Update Available text will be highlighted in red and the Firmware Update... tab bold, as shown. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 15
3.11 To update the Gocycle Firmware, click on the Firmware Update... tab. Note: Ensure that you have an internet connection before continuing. 3.12 Please wait while the Firmware is updated. 3.13 Once the Update has been successfully completed the Gocycle Firmware Update SUCCESSFUL! window will appear. Click OK to finish. 3.14 Your Gocycle firmware is now up to date. 3.15 Return to the Gocycle Connect App. The App will display the Frame Number, Battery Voltage, Firmware and App Version. Use the App to: Easily toggle between modes Edit custom mode Upload the log Update the Firmware Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 18
4. HOW TO: GOCYCLE LOG UPLOAD Important information can be submitted to Gocycle engineers for review to assist with diagnosis in the event of a technical issue. To submit your log for review: 4.1 Note: Ensure that you have an internet connection before continuing. Click Log Upload.... 4.2 Your log will now begin uploading. 4.3 When fully uploaded the Log upload successful! window will appear. Click OK to finish. Once successfully uploaded, your log can be viewed by Gocycle engineers to assist with diagnosis of a technical issue. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 20
