SERVANT KEEPER 7 Upgrade today! You will feel right at home with the familiar look and feel which have been updated to provide more functionality and even faster access to your information. Expanded platforms and technologies: We now offer optional cloud based technologies in addition to the legacy PC based Servant Keeper which will allow you to use Servant Keeper from anywhere you have internet availability. This means you can take your laptop home, or to the café, and still log into the same shared database your other staff and volunteers are using. Everyone is up to date with the latest data, regardless of their physical location.

mostnewrequested features in Servant Keeper 7 Here are the View/Restore Deleted Records & Mass Delete Ever delete the wrong record? Now in Servant Keeper 7 you can view and restore deleted records. This enables you to quickly recover from user errors. Because of this added layer of protection, there is now a mass delete feature that will allow you to clean up your database of old or unused records. Reminder Tool The new reminder tool will make sure you don t forget any notes or important dates. When you launch Servant Keeper, this tool will pop-up and display any scheduled appointments or dates in the system according to your preferences (like birthday, wedding, etc). The Reminder tool will also show you any new notes that have been entered in the system, even displaying private notes that others have shared with you. 2

History Tab The new history tab gives you a quick glance at any changes made to a profile, and who made them. This is not only very helpful in recovering from user errors, but also to see, for example, when someone s member status was changed. This information helps you keep a clean and useful database. Attachments / Links Now you can attach items like documents, pdf files, reports, certificates, even links to web pages to someone s individual profile. One of our most highly requested features, the Attachment Tab will make sure all of the paperwork and documentation associated with an individual stays with that record! 3

Email family members of people in a group. With the ability to email family members, now it s easier than ever to do tasks like send an email to the mothers of third grade children. Simply pull up any group, and when you click to email the group you will have the option to email the actual group members, any family members of the group members, or both. With the new, built-in email software your job is even easier and doesn t rely on expensive programs like Outlook, and will work with your free web-mail accounts like Gmail. 4

Drag and drop merge w/ MS Word It s now easier than ever to do personalized mailings with the most popular word processor, Microsoft Word, using the SK Merge tool. You will have the same, easy, drag-and-drop functionality when you want to use Microsoft Word as you do with the built in SK Writer. When you create a mail merge document, you will have the option to launch SK Writer or Word, and both tools will have the Servant Keeper data fields available to drag and drop into your document. So it doesn t matter if you prefer SK Writer or Word, Servant Keeper makes sure that any personalized mail merge documents that you create are done quickly and easily! 5

Group categories and private groups Do you have lots of groups, or a lot of volunteers and staff that make their own groups? Now you have the ability to group your groups, assign them a category, and to even create private groups (i.e. Building Fund Donors ). From the Smart Groups window you can drag any column heading to the space above the list of groups and Groups Keeper will create a collapsible section for each item in that column. For example, if you drag the column header Created By into the space above the group list, the groups will now be clustered by who created them. In this example there will be a section for all groups created by Bill, and by Ed, and by Mike, etc. You can also create an unlimited number of Group Categories to help you further organize your groups. In addition, you can mark any group private and select other users in the system to whom you want to grant access. This is helpful when using groups based on confidential information that you only want certain users to be able to see. 6

Restricted fields for greater privacy Now you can remove access, or make read only, the fields in the family and individual profiles that may contain sensitive information, such as birthday, contact information, cell phones, etc. If a user with low clearance accesses a profile in Servant Keeper, these fields will be set to read only or the information in the fields will not display at all, depending on their security privileges. Shareable notes / private notes Building on the very popular notion of confidential notes that has existed in Servant Keeper for quite some time, we re-engineered the notes tools so that each individual note is its own piece of data. This enables individual notes to be marked public, private and even shared. As a result you can now create a private note for a record and share just that single note with another user, without sharing any other of your private notes in the system or for that record. We hope this tool will be a great aid to those who are doing counseling, mentoring, and pastoral care ministry of sensitive nature. Public and shared notes will also show up in the SK Reminders tool according to which user is logged in to Servant Keeper. 7

Picture Directories allow more data You can now add over 30 new data fields to the picture directories, making your church photo directory an even more valuable tool for your ministry. Fields like cell extra phone numbers, cell phones, email addresses, birthdates, and more will help your members get even more use from your photo directory. 8

Support for international address & phone The formatting of phone numbers and addresses has been opened up to accept international formatting. This will be a big help to tracking addresses of missionaries and international supporters. Now the thousands of ministries around the world using Servant Keeper will have a better experience as well. Payment tracking We are excited to introduce the new payment tracking tool that will help you keep track of things like retreats, classes, and school tuition for which you accept payments. Easily track payment progress, send statements, and create mail merge documents helping you communicate with members and streamline the process of collecting payments. 9

Copy Pledge Account Do you run the same or a similar pledge every year, such as a Capital Campaign Fund? Do many of the people who pledge often repeat the same amount pledged from year to year? If so you will be excited to know that you can now copy a pledge account! When you copy a pledge account all of the people who pledged to that account are copied as well. People copied into the new pledge account will have the same pledge goal they had in the first account, and will start with a new zero balance. 10

Servant Keeper Online Giving We are excited to announce SK Online Giving, the most affordable and feature rich online giving platform available with super low credit card fees and a No Monthly Fee option. The best part is the direct integration with Servant Keeper, which allows you to update the Servant Keeper database with online giving transactions with just a click! That s right, no importing, downloading excel files, or manually entering contributions that came in online. It s all automated! You can even set up very affordable giving kiosks in your church, or accept contributions by text! Talk to one of our sales reps today about the benefits of using SK Online Giving. You can brand your giving page to match your church website colors and images! 11

Memorize specific donor transactions With the memorized transactions tool you can have Servant Keeper memorize a specific transaction for a specific donor and use it when you need to. This will help speed up the entry process for situations like donors who regularly give the same split transaction. Notes for each split Now you can save a note for each item in a split transaction. This is very helpful when people write one check for several items like their tithe, retreat payment or gifts to missionaries. Each item gets its own note, so when that item shows up on reports or statements it provides much needed clarity for complicated splits. 12

Manage Multiple Databases Now it is easy to create multiple databases to use with Servant Keeper without requiring a separate installation of the program. Some of the benefits of a separate database is the ability to re-customize the field names to match a different ministry (such as a school, youth group, or outreach ministry, or a ministry that uses a different primary language.) When you log in to Servant Keeper, the log-in screen will let you know which database you are logging into. User Templates Add new users to your database even faster with the user templates or by copying the privileges of another user. Selecting the Administrator Template gives that user full privileges, while selecting the Membership or Contribution templates assigns by default just the access privileges normally associated with that type of user. Because you can Copy Privileges, you can essentially create your own profiles that you can use as an administrator to quickly set up users who have similar roles. 13

Archive / Purge It s now very easy to purge your database of old records such as old attendance data, contributions, notes, and historical data. Purging and archiving this data will help you keep Servant Keeper running at optimal performance. Users have the ability to selectively purge contribution, attendance, notes, or historical data, with the added ability to retain data after a certain date. 14
