Control PC 90/03 for dosing units Area of application: single dosing units All controls are provided with: 3-figures digital potentiometer for speed setting 3 LEDs for RUN/STOP/OVERLOAD alarm output signal for overload illuminated main switch main power supply 230 V AC, 50-60 Hz single-phase standard plastic box approx. 240h x 120w x 100d(mm) wall fastening type there are 4 different versions available. An upgrade to other versions (-201 till 401) is possible PC 90/03-101 Basic standard control PC 90/03-201 Standard control with integrated 4-figure digital rpm display to 1 decimal PC 90/03-301 Standard control with integrated synchroniser for extruders with DC tachogenerators. An integrated potentiometer allows for linking of the PLASTICOLOR screw speed to the extruder screw speed. PC 90/03-401 Standard control with rpm display and synchronizer. 3
Modular Controls Serie PC PC 90/52 Area of application: Single dosing units Volumetric mixing stations Several "Speed" modules simply fit together resulting in a multiple installation control. Additional "function modules" control special system functions, e.g. the "Level module" for mixing stations. All controls are transistorized. Level-ModulE LT 90/52 The level module is for the control of the level in the neckpiece. It can be equipped either with an individual level sensor together with timer control or with two sensors. Upon reaching the maximum filling level or expiry of the set time, the dosing units are slowed down in a defined way and simultaneously stopped. SynchronIZER- Module SC 90/52 In order to slave the PLASTICOLOR screw speed to the extruder, the Speed module can be fitted with a synchronizer module. An integrated potentiometer allows adjustment of the PLASTICOLOR screw speed to the speed of the extruder. SYNCHRONIZER MODULE SC 90/52 Requires a linear control value output from an extruder AC- or DC-tachogenerator. The SC 90/52 also can be connected to a pulse generator. The control value is digitally displayed in % to one decimal point. It represents the actual extruder screw speed in percent. 7
Casings for modular controls All modules can be housed in a choice of flush mounting boxes, desk top casings or 19 racks. Blanks can be provided, if required, for later additions. Flush mounting boxes 96 mm wide (16 PU) x 144 mm high x 240 mm deep, required cut-out in panel 90 x 138 mm for 1 Speed module 144 mm wide (26 PU) x 144 mm high x 240 mm deep, required cutout in panel 138 x 138 mm for 1 Speed module and 1 function module Desk top casings 235 mm wide (42 PU) x 145 mm high x 330 mm deep for 2 Speed modules and 1 function module 450 mm wide (84 PU) x 145 mm high x 370 mm deep for 4 Speed modules and 2 function modules 19 Racks 84 PU wide (= approx. 485 mm) x 3 HU high (= approx. 133 mm) x 375 mm deep to fit existing control cabinets or 19 desk top casings. Each rack accommodates a maximum of 4 Speed modules and 2 func tion modules. 8

PPM Software Field of application: Operation of up to 8 Mixing Stations at the time, each consisting of a maximum of 8 components (coextrusion lines). Operation of up to 8 throughput measurement systems and extruder controls. Available Software: PPM Control PPM Configuration PPM Data Viewer PPM Data Manager PPM Tools (OEM software option) PPM control PLASTICOLOR systems and equipment operation and visualisation Automatic back-up files (material and back-up data). Saving data is done on storage media such as hard drive, USB stick etc. All PLASTICOLOR dosing units from the 1500, 2500, 3200 and 5000 model series can be optionally fitted with an automatic screw identification system. Screw identification prevents errors in settings by triggering alarms. This is especially the case when used in combination with a volumetric PLASTICOLOR dosing unit.
