The AFL MTPE (MTP Elite) Low Loss outdoor cabling system offers a market leading, low loss, fast and efficient connection system for underground (UG) and outside plant applications. These assemblies offer quick and easy deployment for external/underground F multimode or singlemode circuits. Designed to be hauled through ducts and conduits. The modular MTP product set comprises underground cable assemblies, assembly hauling mechanisms, cassettes, heavy duty fanouts, 1/1.5/2/3 RU rack mount enclosures, wall mount enclosures including DIN rail mount. The reduced diameter loose tube style UG poly/nylon sheathed cable offers ease of installation and handling. AFL only use MTPE low loss connectors for enhanced performance and low link/channel losses. An optional glanded, re-useable water resistant hauling mechanism is available to suit old or compromised ducts and conduits. Additional UG cable options are available such as fiberglass armouring, for protection against rodent attack. Sacrificial and LSZH sheaths are also available. Technical Information CONNECTIVITY METHODS AFL s MTP cabling solution is configured to suit the connectivity methods as defined in TIA-568-C or custom configurations as required. Pair crossovers (pair flips) are recommended for duplex circuits. A number of configuration options are available for parallel optics applications. This low channel loss can apply to any network architecture and any number of cabling backbones and cross-connects. AFL s MTP cabling system has the lowest possible OM3/OM4 and OS1/2 channel loss via the US Conec MTP Elite connector combined with low loss, high tolerance LC cassette connectors and through adapters.
