Scanning Instructions 1 Turn on the MP600 all-in-one printer and start your computer. 2 Turn the easy scroll wheel clockwise one click OR press right arrow button to advance to the Scan option. 3 Press the OK button to set the printer to Scan. 4 Select Save to PC or Save as PDF file using the easy scroll wheel or the arrow buttons. 5 Press the OK button to set the printer to Save to PC or to Save as PDF file. Note: The following scanning options are available for your MP600 all-in-one printer. Save to PC Send the scanned image to a connected computer and save. Save as PDF file Send the scanned image to a connected computer and save it as a PDF file. Open with application Send the scanned image to connected computer and open using an application. Attach to e-mail Send the scanned image to connected computer and attach to an e-mail. Only instructions for saving scanned images are shown in the. Other options are accessed through the MP Navigator software installed on your computer. Page 3
6 Open the lid of the printer as shown in the illustration on the printer display. 7 Place document to be scanned on the scanner platen glass. 8 Close the lid of the printer. Note: Place the corner of the document to be scanned flush with the lower left corner of the scanner platen glass as indicated. Page 4
9 Press the Black Start button to scan the document in black and white, or the Color Start button to scan the document in color. Note: During scanning, displays appear on your computer screen (shown on the left) and the printer display (shown on the right). 10 The document has been saved to your computer. 11 Verify that the document was scanned successfully. If not, make the necessary adjustments and begin again with Step 4 of these instructions. Page 5
Note: The MP Navigator folder opens on your computer automatically. Once the file is saved, you can e-mail it, insert it in a word processing document, or print it. The file is saved in a folder named for the date the document was scanned. 12 Remove the original document from the scanner platen glass. 13 To return to the printer s home page, press the Home button. Congratulations! You have successfully scanned and saved a document to your computer. If you had any problems scanning or saving the document, see the Troubleshooting section of this guide.
