CONTEXTURES EXCEL TOOLS FEATURES LIST PAGE 2 Comments Create a list of all comments in the workbook, or change the comment formatting, size, or position. List Comments This command adds a new worksheet with list of all comments in the active workbook. Comments Change the comment formatting, size, or position, get comment text, or update names. Format All Comments Format all comment in the active workbook, to match the font, font size and fill color of the selected cell's comment. Reset Comments Position If comments have shifted away from their original position, this command will reset them, close to the top right of the cell that contains the comment. Resize Comments - Selected Cells Use this command if comments have become too big. It resizes all comments in the selected cells you will be prompted to enter widths for the comments. Resize Comments - Active Sheet Use this command if comments have become too big. It resizes all comments in the active sheet you will be prompted to enter widths for the comments. Comment Text - Selection Copies the comment text in the selected cells, and shows it in the adjacent column to the right. Replace Comment Names - Active Workbook When you select a comment cell, a name and date appear in the status bar. This command replaces old names in comments, by deleting and reinserting the comments, so a new name appears in status bar. You will be prompted to enter the old name and the new name.

Center Across Unmerges the selected cells, if merged, and centers the text in the first cell, across the selected cells in a row. Hide Blank Rows Hides rows with blank cells in the selected column. This affects the used range only unused rows will not be hidden. Lists Create lists with worksheet or formatting details. Sheet Links Adds a worksheet with a list of all worksheets in the active workbook and a hyperlink for each sheet. Lists Create lists of worksheet or formatting details. Sheets Info Adds a worksheet with a list of details for all worksheets in the active workbook. Includes the sheet's code name, sheet name, and number of tables, shapes and comments.

Details show sheet name, cell address, formula and formula in R1C1 style. Button Macros Adds a worksheet with a list of all the buttons (shapes or Form Controls) in the active workbook and the name of any macros they run. Details show sheet name, cell, button name, macro name and button text. Data Validation Adds a new sheet with details on all data validation on the active sheet. Conditional Formatting Adds a new sheet with details on all conditional formatting on the active sheet. Cleanup Change text "numbers" to real numbers, fill blank cells, combine values, or clean up a worksheet. Convert to Numbers Convert text "numbers" in the selected cells to real numbers, by using paste special - add -- zero

Filters must be removed before using this feature. Fill Blanks - Sel Fills the blank cells, in the selected cells, with the value from the above cell. Filters must be removed before using this feature. Combine Creates a CONCATENATE formula in the active cell, which joins the text from a selected range of cells. You will be prompted to select the concatenation range, and to enter the character to use as a separator. For example, select cells A2:C2 as the range, In the next prompt, type a comma as the separator. The active cell has a CONCATENATE formula, and it can be copied down to the rows below.

Clear Leading Apostrophes - Selection Removes the leading apostrophe, if any, in all selected cells. Delete Unused - All Sheets Delete unused rows and columns at the perimeter of the data, on all worksheets in active workbook. Does not affect rows and columns within the data range. Page Setup Set sheets to print on one page. Fit to 1 Page - ALL Sets all sheets in the active workbook to print to 1 page. Fit to 1 Page Sets the active sheet to print to 1 page. Protection Protect and unprotect all sheets, with or without a password. Protect All Sheets Protect - Password Prompts for password then protects all sheets in the active workbook. Unprotect - Password Prompts for password then unprotects all sheets in the active workbook.

Unprotect - No Password Unprotects all sheets in the active workbook, with no password. Workbook Make a backup of the active workbook, change sheet or scroll bar settings. Make Backup Make a backup of the active workbook (if previously saved). Uses the same file name, with date and time added. Save As XLSM Opens the Save As window, with the File Type XLSM automatically selected. Sheets Show or hide gridlines, sheet tabs, headers, and scroll bars. Hide/Show Grid Scroll Tab These command hide or show the gridlines, scroll bars, sheet tabs, scroll bars, and row and column headers. Toggle Sheet Tabs Show or hide the sheet tabs in the active workbook. Toggle Sheet Gridlines Show or hide the gridlines in the active worksheet. Toggle Sheet Headings Show or hide the row and column headings in the active worksheet. Toggle Page Break Lines Shows or hides the page break lines on the active sheet. Toggle Zeros Shows or hides the zero values on the active sheet.

Scroll Bars Toggle Vertical Scroll Bar Show or hide the vertical scroll bar in the active workbook. Toggle Horizontal Scroll Bar Show or hide the horizontal scroll bar in the active workbook. Both Scroll Bars On Show both the vertical and horizontal scroll bars in the active workbook. Both Scroll Bars Off Hide both the vertical and horizontal scroll bars in the active workbook. Developer Sort or show all sheets, turn events on, get color list, count visible rows. Sort Sheets Sorts all sheets in the active workbook alphabetically. Numbers are treated as text, so Sheet16 would sort before Sheet6. Developer Turn events back on, get color list, show all sheets, and count visible rows. Events On Turn enable events and screen updating back on, if a procedure turned them off accidentally. Color List Adds a worksheet and colors 56 cells in column A, and lists the colors in column B. Visible Rows Shows the count of visible rows in the active workbook window, including partial rows.
