About This Guide Guide Type Documented Integration WatchGuard or a Technology Partner has provided documentation demonstrating integration. Guide Details WatchGuard provides integration instructions to help our customers configure WatchGuard products to work with products created by other organizations. If you need more information or technical support about how to configure a third-party product, see the documentation and support resources for that product. PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 2
PRTG Integration Overview PRTG is a RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tool commonly used by MSPs. RMM agents are installed on MSP customer endpoints to discover IT assets and remotely monitor/manage them. RMM data is then commonly synchronized to PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools such as Connectwise and Autotask. Leveraging SNMP v1/2/3 and WMI, the system enables monitoring in combination with powerful alerting and notification capabilities to keep network infrastructure running and provide notification when issues arise. Platform and Software The hardware and software used to complete the steps outlined in this document include: Firebox or WatchGuard XTM device installed with Fireware v11.11.x PRTG version 16.2.24.4045 (web login) PRTG Server, installed in Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition with an IP address of 10.0.1.2 PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 3
Set Up the Firebox You must configure SNMP on the WatchGuard Firebox before you can use PRTG to discover it. 1. Connect to your Firebox with Fireware Web UI. 2. Select System > SNMP. 3. From the Version drop-down list, select v3. 4. From the Authentication Protocol drop-down list, select SHA1. In the adjacent Password and Confirm text boxes, type the authentication password. 5. From the Privacy Protocol drop-down list, select DES. In the adjacent Password and Confirm text boxes, type the encryption password. 6. In the User Name text box, type XTM. 7. Click Save. 8. Select Firewall > Firewall Policies. 9. Add an SNMP packet filter policy that allows SNMP traffic from Any-Trusted to Firebox. If you connect to an optional interface, specify Any-Optional instead of Any-Trusted. PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 4

8. Navigate to Add Sensor to Device Firebox (Step 2 of 2). In the OID VALUES section, type an OID Value, and click Continue. For PRTG to correctly obtain the Firebox Model, Name and Version information, this step must be done three times, as shown here: FIrebox (XTM) Device Model: OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 Firebox (XTM) Device Name: OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 FIrebox (XTM) Device Version: OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3097.6.3.1.0 PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 10
9. Navigate to Device Firebox to find the RECOMMNEDED SENSORS section. Click Add These Sensors to auto-deploy sensors to the device. This can take several minutes. Test the Integration 1. On the Devices page, near the bottom, you will find the Firebox we just added. Click the Firebox. PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 11
2. You should see the Firebox Version, Firebox Name, Firebox Model and other Sensors. 3. On the right, you should see diagrams with information about Firebox Alarms, Response Time Index, CPU Load Index, and Traffic Index. Each item has three charts to show the statistics in 2 days, 30 days and 365 days. PRTG RMM Tool integration Guide 12
