AWC Connect Use the AWC Connect VPN client to browse mapped network drives and navigate the intranet just as if you were sitting in your office. AWC Connect is for AWCissued Windows PCs only. This document has instructions for: Installing the WatchGuard VPN Client and Connecting the VPN to Woodmark Installing the WatchGuard VPN Client 1. Browse your Clients mapped network drive to \\awcserver3\clients\mis\pcsetup\wgssl560 2. Run the executable installation program by double-clicking the appropriate file name. a. Wgssl32aci_win32.exe for 32 bit machines b. Wgssl32aci_win64.exe for 64 bit machines 3. Follow all the on-screen instructions, accepting defaults as shown below.
4. After the installation finishes, click Start > All Programs > WatchGuard SSL > Access Client a. Right-click and hold the WatchGuard Access Client application and drag it onto the desktop, creating a shortcut. b. Rename the shortcut AWC Connect 5. Double-click the new AWC Connect icon you just created. a. The WatchGuard icon appears in your system tray. b. If it is hidden, click the up arrow to view the rest of your system tray icons. 6. Click the WatchGuard icon in the system tray once to see the menu items. a. Navigate to Favorites then click Manage. b. Click New on the Access Client Favorites window.
7. Enter the Display name, Server and Configuration as shown in the table and screenshots below. The fields are case-sensitive. You are: Display name: Server: Configuration: AWC Corporate AWC_VPN wgvpn.woodmark.com pbmof2yzk1z4 Sales Sales_VPN wgvpn.woodmark.com s8cmtsww3egw Builder Center BLDR_Vpn wgvpn.woodmark.com z5s3rhbsveo0 Manufacturing MFG_VPN wgvpn.woodmark.com i83f83tmulfk a. Select Load on startup (check the box), and then b. Click Add 8. Close the Access Client Favorites window. 9. Click the WatchGuard icon in the system tray again and choose Exit. Congratulations, you have successfully added the new SSL VPN client to your machine.
Connecting the VPN to Woodmark When you are traveling or working from your home network, you will use this VPN client to browse mapped network drives and navigate the Intranet just as if you were sitting in your office. Note: There is a timeout limit on the VPN client of 30 minutes when you re not actively using it to navigate the network. If you step away from your PC for more than the 30 minute limit, you ll be required to reconnect the VPN. The steps to connect the VPN are shown below. 1. Verify you have an internet connection by opening a web browser and navigating to any webpage. The VPN will not connect unless you have internet access. 2. Double-click the AWC Connect icon you created on your desktop. a. A series of windows will pop up while you re connecting to the VPN server. b. At the login prompt, type your AWC network password. 3. During your initial install and connection to the VPN server, your Windows Firewall may prompt you to Allow Access for the VPN client. Check all three boxes and click Allow Access.
4. Once you ve been authenticated, your default browser will pop up and take you directly to the Woodmark Information Network homepage, showing you that you have successfully established a connection to our network. 5. You can now browse the network as though you were sitting in your Woodmark office. Mapped network drives, SharePoint sites, and any other network resources you are approved for are accessible. Please remember the 30 minute inactivity limit. If you do not access a network resource within this time period, the VPN client will disconnect. To reconnect, simply doubleclick on the AWC Connect icon again and log back in. 6. To disconnect the PC from the VPN server, simply click the WatchGuard icon in your system tray and select Exit. The icon will disappear and you will be disconnected from the Woodmark network.
